Have you tried "Force Quit" from the -menu in the upper left corner of your screen?
If that does not help, open a Terminal from the Utilities folder in the Applications folder and type
killall Aperture -SIGKILL
Any "kill" should always be followed by a "Repair" of the Aperture library, see Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library.

when i go to update apps the previous owners apple id is stuck in the id box and it won't let me put mine in.. PLEASE HELP! LOL
Apple says that the Mac was supposed to be erased and taken back to the most recent version of OS X with which it shipped. You should not have any of the previous owner's apps. That violates the Terms of Use for Mac App Store apps.

I purchased a song on iTunes and it shows up in the song list with an exclamation point on the side of it. It says the song could not be found. I have done a search and can't find it but iTunes won't let me download or buy it again. Help!!

When I close a tab, a new blank one opens that it won't let me close. How do I stop this?
This started only a few days ago, and it's nothing too serious, but it's kind of annoying. If I have two tabs open and I close one, a new blank tab opens. I try to close it, but it won't let me, however, it will let me browse on that tab, just not close it out. I've tried disabling add-ons, and that didn't work. Sometimes I only want one tab open, but it just won't let me have only one tab open.
I've got Firefox version 31.0 and I use Windows 7, if that helps.There is an option in Firefox to not close the last browser window / tab.

Faces with revolving arrow and won't let me close iPhoto
HELP!! Until about a week ago I could use iPhoto, now it acts like it is trying to detect faces and won't let me do anything in iPhoto. I can't open pictures, I can't close it and it is making my computer run harder (the little fan thing is on, i think that is what I am hearing) Can someone please help me???

You're going to need to Force Quit the app: You'll find that command under the Apple menu top left.
If the problem recurs every time you start iPhoto:
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

I migrated my old IMac to new and Aperture won't let me import from camera
I migrated old iMac to new and Aperture will not let me import from camera from. Migrating created two users and I get an error message saying I do not have permission write. I have gone to get info and it says I have read and write permissions.

That's the problem. Apple doesn't make it clear that you should transfer when the new Mac starts up, not later on with Migration Assistant.
which told me to enter a new name . I had the new computer and old with same name. I called the new user my name with word "old" so not the same name as old Mac.
The problem isn't the names, it's the (mostly hidden) User ID number (UID). See the pink box in Problems after using Migration Assistant for an explanation of what happened.
Your best bet is to use one of the workarounds (probably #4) in the green box there, to re-transfer your account. It will have exactly the same name and permissions as before.
If you want to change the name, you can, but it takes a minor finagle. Post back if you want to do that. -
The hard drive crashed on my apple computer and I lost a lot of photos. I want to recover them from my apple tv1, but the computer won't seem to pair up with the apple tv. The Apple tv does appear in devices, but it won't let me go any further. The 'apply' button is a pale grey colour and you can't click on it. Help!!
there is no facility to recover your photos from the appletv.
the only way to link the appletv to your new "system" is to remove the existing itunes link and then link it to the new itunes - this will delete all content from the appletv though. -
