APEX 2.2 Help Problems

I have a couple of issues. 
1. Using None Database Authentication causes 'Unauthorized Access' Message when accessing help, while been a public user. 
2. When calling images in item help does not work, but does in page help.
 
Notes. 
1. Found thread explaining issue 1 and that it was a bug in 2.2 and using Database Authentication was a work around (Looks like the APEX team has succumb to the Oracle Way of doing things, Sigh). So this is no longer a question, just a gripe. 
2. Using img src=#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#blah.gif (obviously with the brackets and quotes) in Page help displays correctly, but in item help we get the familar image not found icon.

1. Using None Database Authentication causes 'Unauthorized Access' Message when accessing help, while been a public user.This is not an accurate description of the bug. I am unable to recreate the problem as you described it. Perhaps you have found a new bug. A bug like this was fixed in 2.2.1.

Apex in IFRAME cookie problem (P3P IE6+)

Hi All,
I am having a problem with IE not displaying my content within an IFrame - due to IE not trusting the Apex cookies.
This problem was resolved on the Apex forum in 2009 - https://forums.oracle.com/thread/887792
The solution was to set the P3P policy in the web server header response :
For example
1. PHP
header('P3P:CP="IDC DSP COR ADM DEVi TAIi PSA PSD IVAi IVDi CONi HIS OUR IND CNT"');
2. ASP.NET
HttpContext.Current.Response.AddHeader("p3p","CP=\"IDC DSP COR ADM DEVi TAIi PSA PSD IVAi IVDi CONi HIS OUR IND CNT\"");
3. Apex solution
I add this section to httpd.conf (Apache proxy)

Now I have the same problem but I am hosted in the cloud.

This works fine on chrome/firefox...
Is there any other way to set P3P header in the database cloud ?

Thanks for looking in to this...
This did not fix it :-(
However, I used to inspect the response headers and found that unless the page I was attempting to access was LOGIN_DESKTOP then the response was : 302 Moved Temporarily

This may have been causing the error in the iFrame...

Apex calendar report url problems

im having problems with the "day link" attribute in an apex calendar report.
i have the calendar set up so that when you click the date in the calendar it sends the date formatted correctly to the date picker field in my create a new appointment page. so pre-populating the field as the page is loaded.
initially i used the standard "page in this application" function and passed the substitute string #DD# #MON# #YYYY# to the date picker item P6_APT_DATE, setting the link to go to page 6 etc....
this actually works fine but apex converts in into a URL
f?p=&FLOW_ID.:6:&SESSION.::&DEBUG.:6:P6_APT_DATE:#DD#-#MON#-#YYYY#
which does exactly the same thing. and both work perfectly
However - nether are saved by apex? if i go back to edit the report the "day link" section is blank but both continue to work even when i refresh / re-cache the page.
i have had similar happen in the past when the link isn't formatted correctly, the problem here is that it all works fine until you go back in to edit the calendar report, at which point the url / links vanish.
im just starting out with apex so my apologies if i have missed anything obvious. any help would be appreciated

I'm not sure exactly how your calendar page works, but the # character cannot appear in URLs except as an named-anchor reference.
If you can show me your app on apex.oracle.com, I'll take a closer look.

Apex in IFRAME login problem (P3P IE6+)

I have problem with Apex application in Frame. I can't login to my APEX app because IE6 or 7 blocked cookies. I browsed internet about it and problem is in P3P.
At this time I add to my Apex app this meta tag (changed Templates)

but problem is still.

Any APEX app requires authentication (even if that authentication is 'No Authentication') of some kind. Are you trying to access it from another web page or using SSO, or is your custom authentication scheme referencing something tabular within your database?
Cookie management is handled by the browser and therefore not necessarily applicable to the APEX app that you are trying to access unless you are already authenticated within the same session.
I'm not sure what exactly you are trying to achieve in your web page, accessing an Apex region or page within an iframe without any kind of authentication within the Apex app itself?
Sorry, if I have misunderstood, maybe you could post an example on apex.oracle.com and show me what you are trying to do and we should be able to help.

Help: Problem Linking two screens

I have a problem. I have a Master Detail screens setup. I changed the primary key on the table from two columns to three. From the database side eerything is good. I am having a problem on APEX screen. When I click edit button it gives me the error
ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows
On the Master form I went to Link Column and made sure I am passing three keys to detail screen. I know it is unique but am unsure why I get an error. I went to edit screen and seen under processes there is a Fetch Row from LPAR_INSTANCE_REL. Then inside that it looks like under source Automatic Row Processing it only has room for a two column prmary key. to fetcha row. Is this my issue.
This is a production problem. If anyone can help I would appreciate it

Query help - problems with ROLLUP

I'm trying to make a query i can use for an alert, it generates sales for the past 7 days.
This query works fine:

 CASE WHEN GROUPING(T0.[CardCode]) = 0

 ELSE 'ALL'
 END AS Customer#,
 SUM(T0.[Max1099]) AS "Total Sales",

WHERE T0.[DocDate] >= DATEADD(dd,DATEDIFF(dd,0,GETDATE())-7,0) AND T0.[Max1099] > 0
GROUP BY T0.[CardCode] WITH ROLLUP
And it gives me this:

Which is great. Gives me a total at the end, and substitutes "ALL" for the customer number. Lovely.
Problem #1: I REALLY want it to give the Customer Name NEXT TO the Customer Number. But when I try to add it, i have to add it to the GROUP BY as well. Which changes the query to this:

( I have replaced actual customer names, of course, and replaces actual blanks with the word 'blanks' so it would be more legible.)
I can't figure out a way to simply list the customer name next to the number. Instead , it gives me a summary for the CardCode and a summary for the CardName.
I've tried combining the two into one field, on the fly, but haven't been successful.
Problem #2 - extra credit!
If i really want this done right, i should also have a query that pulls the same data from ORIN (Credit Memos) and do a UNION ALL, but when i do this, is simply rejects me at the word "UNION"
any and all help appreciated, and to test this, you can just cut and past the query into SAP, it will run right there, no mods needed.
oops. I had to change the "Not Equal" symbol to just "greater than" for "Max1099" because it was just dropping the symbol...

Why can't i download apps since i updated to i06, i log in with password .am then asked for three security questions fill this out click done and get the answer timed out try again, what is causing this please help.

Settings>General>Reset (at the far bottom)>Reset All Settings
That will ALWAYS work for the "3 Security Questions - Timed Out problem". No data will be lost, but your network settings will be reset.

[HELP] Problem with restore and recovery to new host

Hi, guys!
I have been trying for two days, but still cannot get it to work.
I have taken a full hot(online) backup with archive logs as well as the control file and SPFILE, and then copied the backup to the new host with the same directory structure and settings. Finally, I have tried to restore & recover the database on the new host but failed during the restore process.
Both the original host and the new host have the same Oracle installed down to the patch level. I couldn't figure out the proper solution to this problem base on my limited knowledge about Oracle DB.
Could anyone help me out here? Any advice would be appreciated!

Would it be something to do with the folder permissions?

I have a Mac Book Pro - HELP - problems with bootcamp = too full

I have have a Mac Book Pro. My drive is full. Sadly I had the partition set up at a store that should have known what they were doing (NOT an apple store, but a certified store that carries only Apple products), anyway.. I am now at the point where my bootcamp is full. I've tried reading a number of posts, but some things apply to me, some things don't so here is my situation:
Mac Book Pro
OS X 10.8.2
Processor: 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Startup Disk: Macintosh HD
Using Bootcamp with Windows 7
I purchased Camptunes by Paragon and tried repartioning my drive that way. It looked like it was going to work until the following error message happend:
Windows filesystem verification failed. Please, repair Windows volume and try again. Windows is not letting me do this because I don't have enough room. Round and round the problem goes.
Initially when I was trying to clear out my Windows side I found a bulky .NET program I wanted to delete. It would not delete it for me (I can retry to look for that error message), but essentially it wouldn't delete it at all. I have no temporary internet files I can delete, cookies or other programs (except my printer drivers), but essentially - I can't figure out what to do next.
I read another post about a person who didn't want to backup their files first. This is not me. I do back up to a LACIE back up drive that has a 999.86 GB capacity with 872.11GB free. What I want to know is do I have to buy another back up to keep it all completely separate? What other program do you recommend to create a virtual drive? Can I get a step by step on what to do? I have the original windows disk if that helps in the equasion.....
My head hurts.... help!

Try restarting while holding down the Option key. That should prompt the startup manager window where you can select the startup disk and reboot.
Then try reformatting (erase) using OS X Recovery About OS X Recovery
Keep in mind, Apple does recommend a high speed broadband internet connection for OS X Recovery. A slow connection may time out before recovery is finished.

Help - problems with Credit Memo's

Can anyone help. We're running Financials 10.7 and have a problem. We've tried to create a credit memo to cancel an invoice. The credit memo and invoice tie up and are linked all through the line until the 'Invoice Installments' screen where there appears to be no link. This give s the impression that the Invoice is still outstanding.
Can anyone help with a work-around.

Hi there,
Yes. If both the credit memo & the invoice use the same pricing procedure, then they can be copied from the invoice.
But there is no direct copy from the invoice to the credit memo.
Credit memo is a billing doc type which is raised either against a returns order or against an invoice correction request.
So if you wish to copy the pricing, then you will need to maintain copy controls from invoice to returns order / invoice correction req 1st, then from returns / invoice correction request to credit memo.
So checkif your company is using the same pricing for invoice & returns. Then maintain F2 to RE order in VTAF 1st, then from RE order to CR in VTFA.
In that case at item level pricing, you will have to choose the option G or D. Option B cary new pricing is used when the docs have different pricing procedure.

Help Problem Automatic TO Creation for GR PO (Mvt. 101)

Hi Experts,
I have a problem creating TO automatically when material is received from PO using movement type 101. The requirement is to receive material from PO with status QI, create and confirm TO automatically into default storage bin. But when material received with status QI, it only creates TR and stuck in interim storage bin (902) then i have to create TO manually.
All customizing for Automatic TO already done, if im using same material and receive it without QI status, TO will automatically created and placement to default storage bin will automatically confirmed. But when i'm trying to receive that material with QI status first, TO couldn't be created automatically.
Does anyone know where i have to customize automatic TO for QI status with movement type 101?

I have not tried this scenario with material received in QI status after GR. I believe you need to create TO manually only because system will not able to decide on his own to clear stock from QI status to unrestricted stock.
I know system create TO automatically when you receive goods without QI. In this case system understand to accept whole qty.
You can create TO automatically in case of when you have QM active , you have usage decision.

Need help: Problems with exported Dreamweaver html file in different browsers

I'm trying to send out a newsletter, and had our designer create it in Dreamweaver, and then export and html file which we uploaded. For some reason it looks wrong on Mac's, Gmail, and a few issues with Outlook. Does anyone know how to help with this, or had to work around this problem in the past?
I've attached our html file as well.
We're an eco startup with limited time and budget - so any help you have would be so appreciated.

 by enacting partial or comprehensive bans on polystyrene (PS) foam and/or non-recyclable disposable foodservice containers. Around the same time, a California statewide ban on the use of PS containers was tabled before reaching the State Assembly floor. Representative
 Jerry Hill, one of AB 1358’s sponsors, pulled the bill due
 to concerns addressed in the Appropriations committee hearing of the bill, regarding the fiscal impacts which
 were not addressed in bill’s contents.
 Largely represented by the California Restaurant Association, opponents of AB 1358 lobbied legislative representatives and argued there would be a negative fiscal impact on struggling restaurant owners and their customers in order to accommodate the more expensive alternatives to PS containers. There are the unquantifiable and “hidden” costs of contaminating our bodies and environment which would far surpass the fiscal impact on the plastics, restaurants and consumer industries. Studies published by the Foundation for Advancements in Science and Education have indicated that varying levels of styrene residues
 are present in 100% of all human fat tissue in the
 United States, as PS products are found to lose weight after in contact with hot or fatty/acidic foods and liquids, causing migration of the styrene into the food or fluid, ending up in the human body. On the high end, the levels were “one third of levels known to cause neurotoxic symptoms”. In the environment,
 PS is rarely recycled and does not biodegrade. Supporting safer alternatives to polystyrene, in addition to the collection infrastructure and processing mechanisms for the compostable and recyclable products would help create more green jobs in the long run and would be a move in the right direction away from unnecessary harm
