APEX 4.0.1: restriction on maximum number of dynamic actions on a page?

Hello,
I would like to know if there is a restriction on the number of dynamic actions on a page.
I have a page with 29 dynamic actions. All works fine on the page.
If I create another dynamic action that only display an alert or does anything else, I have the error message HTTP 404 when I try do display the page.
If I delete an old dynamic action and create a new one then the page works fine.
So after several tests, it seems that there is a maximum number of DA on a page but can someone confirm that?

Where are people getting these ideas that normal form or "Codd" said that there was a
limit on columns and if you had more columns than a database product found convenient to implement that it was a 'design defect'? I took database management as an undergrad and in grad school and there was NO rule about number of columns. Anyone who says there is is shoveling pure bs. Even if there were such a rule, and there isn't, it is very inadvisable for a vendor who allows 1000 columns in a table in their database product to impose a limit that is 1/10 of that in an interface to their database. (And btw you can create a table (A 'wide' table, in sqlserver with 30,000 columns according to this:

Artificially dividing up data instruments that were administered/collected at one time into pieces in separate tables, just to make a vendor's developers' life easier and more convenient, or just to keep the product from competing with the extremely extremely expensive "enterprise" products the vendor sells, is not acceptable.
Splitting highly related data into separate tables for no reason other than the
interface is not capable of handling it, creates a load of problems that would not otherwise
exist. What if the user enters less than all the parts? Then someone has to figure out if the parts not entered had no data recorded in the source or if they were simply accidentally skipped. Basically someone or a program would have to enter those pages and denote they had no content if that were the case. Much more logic, much more opportunity for error vs keeping data that was highly associated together.
A software vendor can apply whatever limits they want and no one can stop them, that's for sure. But what would be better here is making these more clear up front. This is a "rad" development tool for very small and not hugely complex forms and reports. Be clear and there will not be people royally steamed over spending their time and money evaluating a product that is not designed to do much of what people need it to do. This stuff should be in an FAQ and the top of the forum.

    You can't limit the destination size programmatically, but you can do it administratively and associate a behavior to occur when the limit is reached. In your case it sounds like you want a queue, 1 message deep, and to discard the oldest message when the queue is full. When you create the physical queue on the broker you can specify these attributes (you can also update them on an existing queue). For example:

  • Maximum number of pages in Smartforms/Sapscript

    Hi
    I have to print some very large invoices (between 1000 and 3000 pages) and it does not work with Adobe forms.
    So I would like to know approximately the maximum number of pages that it is possible to print in Smartforms and Sapscript. And then if possible migrate my form.

    There is only a max page number assigned to a user profile, that means
    you can restrict the max page number per user and printer.
    There is a possibility to restrict the maximum number of pages printed
    as described in Section '2.4 Output authorizations' of the following
    SAP Note: 119147.
    Using authorization object S_SPO_PAGE, you can define that users may
    only print a certain page number range on certain devices.
    To activate these checks the parameter: rspo/auth/pagelimit must be
    set to 1 and you have to define an interval with leading 0s as described
    in the Note.

    Thanks . This is truly a touch situation for my client. The client's business process has a requirement that a service responsible needs to input the Threshold , Target and stretch values monthly and display  converted values ( for every month ).

    I'me developing a program which should restrict the user with a maximum number of characters input in a JTable column. It should show a msg and restrict the user from typing in, if the number of characters exceed the limit and on clicking cancel it should revert back the changes made to the field.

    Try to write your own cell editor.
    There attach an InputVerifier to the JTextField of the editing cell.
    The input verifier can watch for the size of the input and if too many characters you can show a JOptionPane.Dialog.

    "In Exchange 2000 Server, Exchange Server 2003, and Exchange Server 2007, there are a maximum number of restricted search folders that are allowed on a per-folder basis. The default maximum number is 11, and the default lifetime for the search folder

    1) Does this apply to later versions of Exchange Server too?
    2) Can the default maximum be changed, to say 100? Is there a limit?

    500 images in a single gallery is too many - think of the poor viewer!

    Is there an upper limit on the number of saved reports an application user can create?
    I.E., for a given interactive report, does Apex specify a maximum number of report configurations a user can save?

    The Saved Search uses a Drop Down List Box.
    The Drop Down List Boxes are used to display small amount of data only.The amount of data determines the time taken to load the list. I am not sure of any setting to restrict this number.
    I would say,it is a feature for the user to select data quickly.F4 helps are used if Value Helps have large data to display.
    However table CRMD_SHORTCUT contains the entries that are displayed in the Saved Search.

  • ORA-20001: Maximum number of email messages per workspace exceeded

    Greetings. We are running APEX 4.1.1. I have an application where we have to send out email messages to a list of emails. Currently there are 2469 email addresses. Originally we put the email addresses in the BCC but we received an error that we had exceeded the size limit of the BCC. So we modified our procedure to send one email at a time, in a loop.
    Now we are receiving the following error message:
    "ORA-20001: You have exceeded the maximum number of email messages per workspace"
    Has anyone else run into this issue? What is maximum number or email messages per workspace? Is it a limit per day, per session?
    We have not added emails to this table since last year, so the maximum number of email messages allowed may have changed recently?

    Hi jfosteroracle,
    You are getting the error may be the following reason,
    Check the following,
    Login as ADMIN and Goto -->Manage Instance-->Instance Settings--> Mail-->Maximum Emails per workspace
    Actually this number denotes the Number of mails can be sent per 24 hour for the workspace,It may exceeded.
    It may be the reason.

       I think the correct reply would be 999,999 because data type of item number POSNR is NUM 6, which means that it can hold upto value 999,999.
         However, at the same time keep the following into consideration:
    1. FI document has a restriction of 999 line items per document. So, depending on the account settings, there will be a lower limit. E.g. if each Sales order line item results in 2 line items in the accounting document, then the max. no. of SO line items is limited to 499.
    2. If FI summarization is active, then the system summarizes the account postings, thus reducing the no. of FI line items. Hence, a SO can accomodate more than 999 line items. However, this means that certain line item level details will not be available to the Finance guys (which they may not like).
    3. As the number of line items in a Sales order increases, the system performance suffers greatly. There are performance fixes available, but in general, it is painful to load a SO with large no. of line times through BDC's. 10 Sales orders with 100 lines each consume less system resources than 1 Sales order with 1000 lines.

    From the Oracle error message documentation:
    ORA-00020 maximum number of processes (string) exceeded
    Cause: All process state objects are in use.
    Action: Increase the value of the PROCESSES initialization parameter.
    Another alternative approach may be to configure your Connection pool and/or your ApplicationModule pool to optimize the use of
    database connections and/or restrict the number of database connections used by the application. For example, if your application
    has declared many root ApplicationModules (i.e. more than one ApplicationModule pool is in use) then it may help to enable the
    jbo.doconnectionpooling switch so that each ApplicationModule instance in the pools does not maintain a dedicated database
    connection while not in use. Another alternative if you are using the BC4J connection pool (not a JDBC datasource) may be to
    restrict the number of connections the pool can create to < 150 with the jbo.maxpoolsize switch. However, please note that this
    may have an impact on throughput.

  • Maximum number of iTunes accounts associated with one credit card?

    We have a 20 person sales force and will be updating their iPhones and iPads to iOS 5 at a meeting in February.  We want each sales rep to have their own iCloud account for backups and storage.  So, we created 20 new iTunes accounts for each of them using the same company credit card.  To avoid any problems when we do the rollout I wanted to find out what the maximum number of accounts that iTunes allows you to register with one credit card?
    Background Information
    Currently, our sales force uses a company ID and password to download apps.  This allows us to keep the accounts and location settings restricted for security purposes in case a device is lost.  We have since created 20 new user accounts under one credit card for our sales force.  I did not do this, but worked closely with the individual who set them up.  They shared that iTunes only allowed three accounts to be created per day with the same credit card - I assume that's for security purposes. 
    In the end, all were able to be registered without a problem.  My concern is that when we update the devices, which will be over a period of 1-2 days, will there be a limitation to activating accounts under the same credit card, as there was when we created the accounts?  I'm doing the research now to avoid what could be a significant problem if not properly prepared for.
    If there's another solution for this, please feel free to share.  Our objective is to remove the reliance on the company computer for syncing and give the sales force more freedom.  We will still be locking the location for security purposes in case the device is lost/stolen - the iTunes password will be shared between the company and sales rep.  They also won't need to ship the device back to our office if there's a problem, as they would be able to restore with iCloud.

    My follow-up question is this: we somehow managed to add 20 people to one credit card within one month without any warnings.  Should we anticipate encountering a problem? 
    In the interim, someone in our office is going to try and log into iTunes separately with each of the 20 accounts and download an app to see if there are any problems.

  • Plsql dynamic region with more than the maximum number of items

    I need suggestions! :)
    I have to make a page with many many items. We have a table storing the content of a SQL script, each statement is an individual row in the table. The page I'm trying to make must display each statement in an individual textbox/textarea (and two others items for different attributes).
    In a dynamic plsql region, the maximum number of items seems to be 1990, after that, a "Page not found" is launched. So, after 643 statements, I reach the limit...! :(
    A solution could be to generate "custom" textfield or textarea (htp.p('<input type=text name="stmt1" value="StmtText">');), but, is it possible to access their values when the page is submitted ?
    Second solution is to make a pagination every 600 statements, but I don't like it!
    Anything else ?

    at least to my knowledge there you will have the same limitation. Because the limitation is that the f procedure of APEX doesn't have more parameters to support more fields. It's not a limitation of the APEX Builder.
    It would only work if you assign all your items to the same name, so that they are transfered in an array, like the tabular form.

  • Nokia N8-00 'maximum number of connections in use'

    Hi,
    I have creted another APN in the Destinations-Internet settings. Put this APN on priority 1. Then I se internet an it is ok. But when I open Nokia Maps or another App. Sometimes it tries to connect to the old APN then says 'maximum number of connections in use'. Asking me for confirmation to close one connection.
    So I move all APN's and Wireless connections out of the Destination Internet. Except for the new on that I want. Still the same message From time to time. How to stop thi message. Deleting an APN is not a solution I am looking for otherwise I would have done that.
    Any help is appreciated.

    So the on off method I posted earlier did not work. The first APN is still tring to be accessed by some apps after the phone is switched off and on again. The other things I tried..
    - Removed the APN restriction and renamed the first APN. When I start the APP it now gives me a warning and lets me choose the APN. I choose the second one so greate. Close the APP. Now when I rename the fisr APN to the original name. APPS try to access it again and I get that original error.
    The only thing I could do is configure the first APN name with the actual Access Point of the second APN. This worked All apps are accessing the first APN whaich was reconfigured to look like the new Second APN. 
    This is not a solution again it is a workaround. Does anyone-else have this problem. Or am I the only one who is configuring multiple APNs. Since my provider has multiple APNs.
    I would have thought that this phone supports Multiple PDP contexts, or Secondary PDP context. It was defined in the initial 3GPP specs way back in 2003ish. Nokia can you confirm???

    Did you buy the phone second-hand? There is a limit of three new iCloud accounts which can be created using any one device (it's tied to the serial number of the device, not any login) so presumably the previous owner had done this. There's no way of bypassing this restriction. You can create a new iCloud account on another iOS 5/6 devoce or on a Mac running Lion or Mountain Lion, and then sign into it on this phone.
