There's no good way to do it. But you don't need to. iOS 7 automatically handles whether an application takes up memory or has files open. There's no real advantage to you ever closing an application yourself.
If you are having problems with a particular app, please describe them.

Big Trouble in all Video-Applications after updating to CC 2014

After updating my CC to CC (2014), the new Video-Applications (Pl,Pr,Sg,Me) doesn't work.
The other apps (Ps,Ai...) are ok. Ae starts, but it runs very faulty.
Pl,Pr,Sg,Me doesn't even start.
Did you really tested this software, before you published it?!
I work on OSX 10.9.3 with Blackmagic Video-Hardware. German Version.

Can't start KDE applications after update to KDE 4.9 [SOLVED]

After updating to KDE 4.9, I can not start systemsettings, kwrite, konversation, digikam or any other KDE application using krunner or from a shell. Non-kde applications starts fine. Any help deeply appreciated!

I got no messages on the terminal, and restarting KDE or even rebooting did not help. But killing some stale processes did, so now I just wonder where those came from...

Should this happen to my X11 application after updating to 10.5.7?

After updating, X11 started to act strangely. It now seems to run in the background. It seems that the shortcuts and clipboard don't work (can't see X11 items in the top bar when using it ether), but other than that it seems to work fine. Is this normal?

No MS Office Applications after update

I have the Intel-based iMac and have just run into my first problem with it after 8 months trouble-free usage.
My icons for the MS office applications have "No Entry" signs on them and I get the following message if I try to launch them:
You cannot open the application “Microsoft Word” because it is not supported on this architecture.
Any thoughts?

The Get Info under General has Kind: Application (NOT Application (Universal)). No idea why this would be the case.
This is Office 2008 - it says Office 2008 everywhere I look. Not just claiming it is. I don;t understand why they would launch one week and then not launch the next.
I know little enough about all this stuff but my husband announced that they had stopped working 2 weeks ago and please could I fix it. He had an update from Microsoft. He didn't even know how to turn the thing off and on at the switch never mind strip out random parts of the OS.
Re-installing office looks like my only option. Thanks for your help.

I updated my IPHONE OS today in the afternoon. I am having IPHONE 3G 8GB.
Before updation all the apps was working fine now all gone I dont what to do next. I took the back up for the phone but I dont know where it kept the backup file. I am using Windows XP Pro. for personal use.
Is there some one who can explain what happen to my phone OS, any application if I click it fails to start. I am planning to restore the last backup which I took before updating it.
I dont want to reset or to install new OS in it. Because I have lots of new contacts which I stored in my phone and also lots of the SMS which I need to keep it.
So please some one help me to restore it to previous state.

hey,
what you need to do to get the applications to work is to delete on app on the iphone then once you delete it hard reset the iphone by holding the home button and the power button until you see the apple logo. once the iphone comes back on go directly to the app store and redownload that app. then once it is downloaded they all should start working.

No "Current Application" after update to 10.5.7

I just updated (through ARD) an Early 2008 24" iMac to OS X 10.5.7 and now nothing gets displayed anymore in the Current Application column of ARD for this machine. ARD version is 3.2.2 on both the admin and the client computer. Restart does not help. The Current Status column is correct. All other Macs that get administrated with ARD do show the Current Application.
Does anybody else have the same symptom? Does anybody know what to do here?

iTunes Restore Purchases
This works good. When you find that apps don’t appear even in iTunes or if the sync doesn’t really put all apps into the iPhone, you might want to head over to the “Purchases” section (under Quick Links) in iTunes store. You’ll find the apps you’ve already downloaded via the App Store here.
Download the apps and you can then sync them to the iPhone. This way, the apps will be back on the iPhone.
Manual Mode
Perhaps, if nothing works, you’ll have to individually download all the apps. I know this is bad but this option works like a charm although it’s tedious and no fun. To ease things, however, Apple does show you the apps that you’ve already installed.
Go to the App Store
Now tap on Updates
Tap on Purchased
Tap on “Not on this iPhone“
Install the apps that you want.
Arguably, this is a lengthy process but this definitely ensures that all your apps are back.
And oh, do note that if the app isn’t compatible with the firmware you just updated, you might not see the app getting downloaded or if it does get downloaded, you might run into trouble using the app.

Lost applications after update Firmware

After upgrade to Firmware 5.x most of the Applications on my SDCard are not added tot any Menu and cannot be found.
Probably is has something to do with the message that 'Not trusted software found on memorycard....' and therefore is stops scanning de SDCard for applications. In de Applications Manager all found Programs are 'installed' and I could not find anyhing strange.
Is there an way to 'force' scanning or to add Applications Manualy?

Unable to execute existing Design Studio applications from BI Launchpad after updating to 1.4!

Hello Experts,
We upgraded our SAP BO from 4.0 to SAP BO 4.1 SP5 and also updated our Design Studio from 1.2 directly to 1.4.
Upon testing the existing application in Design Studio it so happens that the existing application is sucessfully executed in local mode. However it does run from the BI Launchpad.
I tried creating a new application in Design Studio 1.4 whick works fine in both local and BI launchpad but my previous created application in 1.2 (now loaded in Design Studio 1.4) should also work, I don't know the reason why it dosen't work.Need help on how to proceed further.
Attached is the error which I get when ezecuting application in BI Launchpad.

Sorry none of the mentioned steps get synced with my situation since I have no problem executing new applications from BI Launchpad but only my old ones.
I read the article http://scn.sap.com/community/businessobjects-design-studio/blog/2014/11/26/ds-14-server-installation and it mentions just smooth execution of existing Design Studio application after updating to 1.4. Wish that would have been the case with me too!

After updating to iOS 7 I can no longer receive text messages.

I can send text messages but I am not receiving responses even though the received confirmed they responded. I am also not receiving text messages initiated by anyone else. Problem did not exist prior to the update. Contact list has not changed and all contact #s are 10 digit. I can still view have all messages sent and received prior to the update. Any suggestions, anyone else experiencing the same?

I'm having the identical problem on my iPhone 4 after upgrading to IOS 7--no ability to update apps or download new apps. Here is what Apple tech support emailed to me:
I understand that you are unable to download or update applications after updating iOS7 on your iTunes. I know you must be eager to get this resolved and I will be happy to help you today.
... to help you better with this issue I would request you to please try this steps given below to resolve your issue.
Please follow this steps:
1) Double tap the home button
2) Hold down on an icon
3) Tap the red "X" on iTunes, and the App Store.
4) Tap Settings > Store > Tap your Apple ID, and choose sign out
5) Tap Settings
6) Tap General
7) Tap Reset
8) Tap Network Settings
Once it has been closed with multi-tasking, and you have rebooted the device in the network settings reset, please sign in, and try again.
Howevr, if you are facing the same issue than for this issue, you may need to call our AppleCare technical support team. A technical Advisor will be able to tell you about Apple's complimentary and fee-based support. The technical Advisor can also assist you in determining what option might be most helpful to you in this case.
Mildly amusing that the instructions for force-closing a program are the IOS 6 instructions, which do not work on IOS 7.
Otherwise I'm having a little success with this. Some apps (not all) are updating. It seems that a few more apps update each time I go through the process (close everything, sign out, and either reset or reboot, then go to the app store, sign in and try to update all). So far it has been a very lengthy, iterative process.
