Apex_mail.send, keep sent messages in sent folder.

Hey guys,
I am trying to send email from APEX using apex_mail.send, it works fine but when I am trying to show up them in the sent folder from gmail site of the "FROM" email that I sent the message from, I can't find them there.

What are the SMTP settings for the APEX instance?

  • Duplicate messages in sent folder in hotmail

I am suing hotmail account on Mac/ apple Email.  All messages sent from hotmail account are shown in duplicate in Sent folder.
Its frustrating to delete these messages as I have a habit of keeping Sent folder empty after transferring the required messages to my folders.

You could try the advice in the page I linked, under "Corrupted Folders". If Thunderbird is in its safe mode, are the messages still missing? Some extensions can cause problems.

How often do you compact your folders? You should be doing that frequently. Try the advice above first.

  • I added new email addresses but one of the emails never created a sent folder, draft folder or trash folder. How do I get them added?

I have a total of 3 email addresses currently set up in Thunderbird. Two of them configured correctly with the inbox, sent folder etc. However, one of them is missing all folders except the inbox. It allows me to email out but then says its sending to sent folder but never does so because it doesnt exist so it never goes away until I hit cancel. When I go into copies and folders its clearly checked that all sent items should go to a sent folder. How do I fix this?
    Thanks!

  • TS3899 I send an e-mail message from my iPhone 5c and it shows up in Sent folder as a duplicate, 2 of the same e-mail messages sent at the same time.

I send an e-mail message from my iPhone 5c and it shows up in Sent folder as a duplicate message. 2 identical messages sent at the same time. What's up with this? Tried Apple Support by phone, and did a couple of troubleshoots, then my connection with Apple Support was cut off. Issue not resolved yet.

Did the mail get sent? Is the only issue the fact that it appears twice in the Sent folder?

  • Mac mail keeps sending emails from different accounts even though it says correct email in "sent" folder. Recipients reply and it goes to different email address. So confusing.

mac mail keeps sending emails from my different accounts even though it says correct email in "sent" folder and correct email account was highlighted. Recipients reply and it goes to different email address. So confusing and annoying.

    Hi Mike,
I had the same issue and managed to solve it.
    Go into Mail>Preferences>Accounts
Then in the account information tab, at the bottom should be outgoing mail server (SMTP) and click the drop down box
Mine had a few different servers in it so i went into edit SMPT server list. Click advanced and it will tell you which ones are going from which email address.
Delete the ones you dont want, and it should work or instead of deleting click use only this server, i imagine that will work to
    Hope This Helps

  • When sending e-mail, a message says that the sent folder is full,-- even though it is not-- however the mail still gets sent. No problem sending mail to myself

I am running Thunderbird version 33.1 Recently, when sending e-mail, I get an error message indicating that the sent folder is full and that I should empty or compress it to fix the problem-- so I emptied it-- problem remains. Also, there is no record of sending the e-mail in the sent folder, even though the mail has been sent. No such problems occur when I send mail to myself.
    Any suggestions ???

If you deleted some of the messages you have done one half of the process. Deleting a message just marks it for deletion and hides it from view. You have to COMPACT the folder to actually delete the messages and free up the space.
I agree that Thunderbird did a poor job naming this process because it is the subject of much misunderstanding.
    Read about compacting here.

Can anyone suggest an app to download for SMS messaging for iphone 3G as the message application factory installed is pretty useless and doesnt keep your sent messages in a sent folde and has no folders unlike most messaging features on other phones.

Why do you need a Sent folder?  iOS's Messaging interface lays each conversation out like a chat or IM.  Personally, I find that much more convenient.

  • Why do email messages I send no longer appear in my sent folder?

Normally all email messages I send appear listed in my Sent folder. Today none of my emails appeared in my sent folder although I'm pretty sure they were in fact sent.

iPhone4, latest iOS, mac, gmail and company outlook accounts, they were all working fine and then I must have changed something because I can see the email in each account on the phone but only the subject line, no message

  • When I send a message it seems to go OK, but Thunderbird then hangs up trying to copy the message to the sent folder. How do I overcome this?

A pop-up window headed "Sending Message - Re: ..." reports status as "Copying Message to Sent folder..."
with a progress bar that is full and green, but it never finishes. If I abort the process and close Thunderbird, when I reopen it the message is not in the Sent folder.

    Try repair Sent folder:
*Click with right button mouse on '''Sent''' >> '''Properties''' >> '''Repair Folder'''
    Try also compact your folders:

  • AppleScript to Send Again E-Mail Message in Sent Folder

For reasons more complicated than interesting, I want to use Send Again to reply to incoming e-mails that meet certain specific conditions. I've figured out how to extract the sender's e-mail address from the message, but I can't figure out how to select a previously sent message and resend it to the new recipient. I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Here's what I've got so far:
    tell application "Mail"
    set theMessage to selection
set the thisMessage to item 1 of the theMessage
set theSender to sender of the thisMessage
set theAddress to extract address from theSender
set sendAgain to 1st message of sent mailbox whose id is 343445
-- Need to tell Mail to Send Again the message sendAgain
set sender of (message sendAgain) to theAddress
    -- Need to send message
    end tell
I get the error on the last line: "Mail got an error: Can’t set message (message id 343445 of mailbox "[Gmail]/Sent Mail" of account "User Name") to "[email protected]".

  • Number of messages in Sent folder

Since I was 'migrated' a month ago I've been keeping a daily eye on the number of messages in my Sent folder.  Strangely the total is invariably 166!  This is most odd; though my email traffic is generally modest, I send out an average 10-15 messages daily.
I retain a large archive of old messages, chiefly in comnnection with my family history research, and the number of my messages listed on WLM is way in excess of 166, so what is happening to the messages 'falling off the end' on BTMail?  Or is this 'just another glitch', that proves that BTMail can't count?

Which phone do you have ? ...or do you have problems with OVI sync ?
See if you have these options..
Messaging-->Options-->Settings-->Other-->No. of saved messages.. set as 999(max.)
Check if this makes any difference..

  • Mail won't keep sent messages

Having been long frustrated with my AOL account, I recently decided to open an IMAP account with Mail. Everything works great with one exception: It successfully sends my emails and attachments, but doesn't keep copies of anything in the sent folder. I've tried preferences:Mailbox behaviors, unchecking and then checking the box to save sent messages on the server. Yet they still don't show in my sent box. I need to keep track of my outgoing messages, so this makes Mail worse than useless to me. What to do?

    Lynn,
Hello, and welcome to the Discussions. You likely have a very different issue:
If you are running 10.3.9, as your info reports, you most likely have an Overstuffed Mailbox, meaning it has become large enough to be a problem for Mail to properly index. Read the User Tip linked below:

How large is this mailbox when you check it?

  • Sent messages not going to sent folder

I know this has been asked a bunch of times. This IPAD was purchased in May 2010.
When I go to the sent box on the IPAD it shows the same emails as are in the inbox, but no sent messages I sent via the IPAD.
I've read through all the emails discussion boards and can't find any suggestions that work. The email account is a secondary user on the MAC, so I'm not sure if that's an issue.
I've started blind copying myself to get the messages to the MAC, but is there a way to keep them in the IPAD SENT folder?

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, let us know and we can move this thread to the Thunderbird queue. This question currently is in the Firefox queue for answers.

  • Messages sent on device do not show up on Mac in ICloud Sent folder - Why?

When I send a message on my IPad, it shows up on the Cloud, but does not appear in my Sent folder in Mail on my Mac ICloud mail account

Joelrsny had the much easier fix:
For Sent folder not showing on the iPhone.
ALL of these ways work to add a Gmail account to the iPhone. Its not how you add it, its the settings in Gmail causing these folders not to appear.
Do not add the account to the iPhone first. Go to Gmail.com in a browser, log in to your email account and hit settings at the top right.... Select the Labels Tab at the top. On the right, you will see check boxes. Check all the folders you want to appear in imap accounts. Once you check them, go and add the account by just picking add Gmail account on your iphone settings for mail. ALL the folders you checked will appear...
    Done!
