APEX_PUBLIC_USER password expired and now APEX denies access to /pls/apex/f
Hi. I have a problem with expired passwords. We are using APEX 2.2.0 with Oracle 10g. This morning the APEX_PUBLIC_USER and HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER accounts passwords expired. We have a really weird setup. Our DBA team owns these accounts and our web server team manages the APEX application itself. When the passwords expired, our DBA changed them from Oracle, not from within APEX. Now we are unable to access our application. We get the following error message:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /pls/apex/f on this server.
The DBA won't reset the passwords to their prior value because it's against corporate policy to resuse them. The web server team does not know how to go in to APEX and enter the new values. Can someone point me to documentation that explains what we need to do? I just want to get these two teams working together so that my users can get back to work!

Mike - All you have to do is change the database account password to a new value and enter that same password into the DAD definition, obfuscating it in that file if your policy so dictates.
Application Express, per se, doesn't know anything about that account's attributes such as its password so there is no interface provided for its maintenance.

In order to change the iCloud ID on your device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

i have totallymessed up outlook on my ipad, attempted to change password, and then couldn't send email and now can't access at all. can i reload "clean" new version and start all over?
Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>Your email account name>Delete Account. A window will popu after you select your email account in the settings and there is a large red Delete Button at the bottom of the window.
Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>Add account. Tap on Add account and start entering your email account details again. If your email account doesn't fit one the per installed accounts in there, tap on Other - and add your account in there.
I would restart the iPad after you delete the email account, just to be starting "fresh" again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button -
I just installed this update and now I cannot access "Mail" at all. I tried reinstalling the program, but that does not work, either. Help!
Paldeng, thanks for the suggestion. I've done all that. I can connect to the server, but apparently they are not recognizing my ID and password. I can use the server program if I don't go through Mail (using the same ID and password). My mother in another state with another provider has had the same email issue, as also my husband on his laptop who uses the same internet connection I do. His worked fine until we had it repaired at the Apple store and all the original programs reloaded (with the required updates, I assume). We can receive email in Mail, we just cannot send.
I contacted my service provider, and we went over my connections. They said it was not their problem and connected me with Apple, resulting in a charge to me because my warranty is long expired. Apple swears it is not their problem, it is the provider, so here I sit. My son was able to fix my Mom's Mail (she's 97) and got my husband's working also, until mine went out, by tweaking connection descriptions and ports remotely. The thing is, we had not messed with any of those settings, so what changed? I just did not want to bother my son again, as he has many other demands on his time.
Since this fiasco with the Mail v4.6 update, I'm wondering if something else was updated that works well with Lion and Mountain Lion, but does not work well with Snow Leopard and Leopard. I think the problem I had with the Mail update was that my Mail program had been renamed to Mail (original), and therefore was not being recognized by the update. Perhaps they had another tweak in there somewhere that is affecting outgoing mail connections? -
I want to submit an issue with Game Center--itself, directly. I had an account set up that I used to play online games. I changed my appleID and then I no longer could access my game center account. I, apparently, had a new game center account created for me (which is friends with my old account) and now I cannot access my original game center account.
If I can't get access to email apple directly (which seems ridiculously difficult to do), then someone please tell me how to FIX the issue.
Thank youYes. I have tried that. When I use the ID I had before, it sets it up as a new account and I don't want to lose my stats attached to my old account.
Let's say that my old nickname was "user10" and I used the email, "[email protected]" for my apple id. I changed my apple id to "[email protected]" and it changed my game center account to "mynew" and somehow I am friends with my old acct, "user10". I tried getting a password reset for "user10" but I apparently don't know my own birthday, which is possible because I usually give a false one, but the same false one each time. -

Thank you so much for replying. But resetting my apple I'd Password seems to have done the trick. I am able to download apps :). Got me worried I even uninstalled kaspersky 2012 :( got to reinstall back

When it stopped and said error, what was the error? You are saying that you disconnected the phone from the computer and all you see is the USB showing on the phone? Then you need to reconnect to the computer and restore the phone.

Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Have you signed out of your iTunes account on the device/computer that you are using and signed back in with the updated password ? That should 'refresh' the account on it, and you should be able to use the account's new password to download updates to its apps
