APEX style progress bar on left

Hi,
New to APEX so apologies if this has already been discussed.
I have created a form that is quite lengthy, so would like to break it down into different steps. Does anyone know how to create a progress bar on the left that shows the different steps, like APEX does?
Thanks

Hi,
If you install demonstrative application to your workspace you can see how it can be done.
To install demonstrative application:
Home>Application Builder>Create
and select Demonstration Application
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14373_01/appdev.32/e11838/bldapp.htm#sthref751
In demonstrative application page 11, 12 .. you can see how it can be done

  • Received a warning about a virus and a green progress bar started a download

    ''Duplicate post, continue here - [/questions/764207]''
    Hello. I was on a website the other day and all of a sudden there was a warning that came down from the top of the browser. It was a grey warning box. Said something like your computer has a virus or is infected, etc. and will be checked for the virus. I could click on "ok" or "cancel". I clicked cancel but there was a green progress bar that started to show that a download was taking place. I forced quit right away but when I opened firefox it gave me the webpage again with the warning. I hit cancel again and the same thing started to happen (showed a download in progress with a green progress bar on left side of screen). I immediately closed all the firefox windows I had open. When I clicked on firefox again everything was fine. The new window went to the apple website page and everything seems to be working fine. I use a mac. Has anyone else gotten this warning before? And should I be worried that my computer was infected by a virus? I don't have an anti virus installed on my computer. With mac I always just keep the security updates up to date and I'm usually fine. I just want to make sure my computer didn't just get a virus. Thanks for the help!

    Thank you so much for your post. I really appreciate your answer!
    Are you able to suggest any sites that are safe to download free antivirus programs for Mac? I have heard that sometimes those programs, like Norton for Mac, can significantly slow down the computer and cause other issues. Is this true? If so, is it recommended to install a program like Norton, test for viruses, and then uninstall?
    Thanks again for your help!

  • Progress bar videocasts

    I just got finished downloading several videocasts and realized that the progress bar at the top of iTunes only shows one download at a time. The videocasts took a while to download even on my university's T1 line. This got me to thinking why Apple didn't use the same style progress bar as on Safari. If, while downloading, instead of a little spinning thing they put the progress as a background for that download, then it would be more informative about multiple downloads. This is more of a comment that a question.

    Yeah unfortunately most ppl's computer spec wouldn't handle the stall in between each simultaneous download, I personally tried on an old sony viao rx640 and crashed the system. (It's up and running). Sometimes Itunes sitting open on the desktop can cause certain aged computers to idle while active, and then take a snail like speed in executing other programs. I am regarding windows-xp users.

    When attempting to install ios5 on my iPod touch , iTunes starts to backup but doesn't get anywhere and the progress bar just keeps going from left to right, any ideas please as to what I can do? Thanks

    Try resetting the iPod while it is connected to your computer.
    Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    Then try again.
    If that didn't help, try restarting the AMDS > iPod touch: How to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) on Windows

  • Secure Empty Trash Progress Bar Stalls With 4 Items Left

    Greetings All,
    I've recently installed OS X 10.5.1 and have had pretty good luck. I just tried to use the Secure Empty Trash function and the progress bar seems to be stalled with 4 items left. The trash can did "empty" with the associated sound effect when the bar hit 4 items, but that's as far as the bar will go. I've forced quit and have restarted the computer, added more trash, and run Secure Empty Trash again, but it always seems to stall out with 4 items left
    Is there a way to make it go all the way to 0 items?
    Where can I look to confirm if any trash is actually left (the trash can is empty)?
    How can I be sure all my trash was securely destroyed?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Thank you very much for this input... it is helpful. I downloaded the program and I can see how it will be extremely handy. I didn't realize that there were enough problems with the finder emptying trash to result in programs written to help with it. It must be a large enough problem in the big picture, though.
    I looked through the developer's site and didn't see an indication regarding the type of emptying this program does (i.e. secure or normal). I am assuming it's a normal emptying of the trash.
    Thank you again.

    I purchased Lightroom 5 in December 2014.  It was my understanding that I would get free upgrades when new versions come out.  I attempted to download LR 6 and it said that the download was happening but there was no progress bar showing.  I left the downloading screen open for 3 hours but nothing happened.

    Robert,
    You can purchase Lightroom 6 as a part of the creative cloud photography package, part of creative cloud, as a stand alone product or as a product upgrade.
    If you purchased lightroom 5 as a perpetual product rather than the creative cloud, you would need to purchase an upgrade to Lightroom 6. Udpates are free for stand alone versions, but upgrades need to be purchased.
    If you need to purchase an upgrade to a perpetual license that you downloaded or purchased at a store, see this link: Products .  Scroll down to lightroom and click "buy". Click on the selectable text by " I want to: "and select "upgrade".
    If you are trying to install Lightroom CC 2016 as a part of a creative cloud subscription, you should be able to download and install Lightroom CC 2015 from the Creative Cloud site. Since Lightroom CC is a new product, it will not show as an update in the Adobe Application Manager. Instead, press the  install button next to Lightroom in the Application manager. If you don't see "install" by Lightroom in the application manager, please first try signing out and back in: sign in and sign out of the Creative Cloud desktop app
    If you still have issues, see option 2 in this link:
    Lightroom doesn't launch or quits automatically after splash screen

    All,
    iam using below code and its working good with page submit button but i need it for a page load i.e when a page loads show the progress bar(page which take a while to load) so i can call it like onload. Anybody who has done this pls i appreciate if you could help...
    function html_Submit_Progress(pThis){
    $x_Show('AjaxLoading');
    window.setTimeout('$s("AjaxLoading",$x("AjaxLoading").innerHTML)', 900);
    doSubmit('APPLY_CHANGES');
    function submit_HideAll(pThis){
    $x_Hide('wwvFlowForm');

    $x_Hide('button_region');
    doSubmit('APPLY_CHANGES');
    using apex 4.1 and my page here i need it is a popup.
    thanks

    You can fix that in your page template by putting something like this just before the BODY tag in the Header region:
    <div id="loading"
      style="display: block;
             position: fixed;
             top: 0px;
             left: 0;
             z-index: 1999;
             width: 100%;
             height: 100%;
             background-color: #fff;
             text-align: center;">
    <div style="position: relative;
                top: 130px;">
    Wait..loading..
    </div>
    <img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/theme_200/images/loading.gif" height="32" width="32"
       style="position: relative;
              top: 150px;"/>
    </div>and putting something like this just after the closing BODY tag in the Footer region:
    <script>
    $(document).ready(function(){
      $('#loading').hide();
    </script>

  • Show Progress Bar while only on Page Load.

    Hi Experts,
    I want to show progress bar every time when page loads.
    Progress bar is coming on the page. but it is not going off after page is loaded.
    Below is the code which i added for the Progress bar.
    //written on Header Text of Page
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    function html_Submit_Progress(pThis){
    $x_Show('AjaxLoading');
    window.setTimeout('$s("AjaxLoading",$x("AjaxLoading").innerHTML)', 100);
    //-->
    </script>
    //written on footer text of Page
    <style> #AjaxLoading{padding:5px;font-size:18px;width:200px;text-align:center;left:20%;top:20%;position:absolute;border:0px solid #666;}
    </style>
    <div id="AjaxLoading" style="display:none;"><br /><img src="#APP_IMAGES#progress_bar.gif" id="wait" /></div>
    //called the function Execute on Page Loads
    html_Submit_Progress(this);Progress bar is continuously showing on the page after page is loaded.
    I want only to show only page loads.
    Please help me .
    Apex Version : Apex 4.1
    DB Version : 10g
    Regards,
    Jitendra

    Hide the loader element when the page has loaded. Put this in the javascript section
    $(document).ready(function(){ $x_Hide('AjaxLoading'); });Or put it in the page load section
    $x_Hide('AjaxLoading');Or create a dynamic action which fires on page load, select a hide action, and use a jQuery selector to target '#AjaxLoading' as an affected element.

  • Progress bar problem in IE with on demand application call

    I have several on demand application processes that I call from javascript. The application processes in turn call pl/sql procedures. Some of the procedures take up to 10 seconds to complete and while they are running, the screen just appears to freeze so the user does not know that they are actually running. I would therefore like to add some kind of a progress bar or hourglass or some indication that things are happening.
    So I found the instructions in Re: Display of Hourglass When Page is processing . This works great in Firefox, but not in IE.
    My Footer text:
    <style> #AjaxLoading{padding:5px;font-size:18px;width:200px;text-align:center;left:50%;top:20%;position:absolute;border:2px solid #666;background-color:#FFF;}
    </style>
    <div id="AjaxLoading" style="display:none;">..Processing..
    <img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#processing3.gif" id="wait" />
    </div>
    My javascript:
    function create_invoice(pMilestoneNumber){
    var agree=confirm("Are you sure you want to bill this Invoice?");
    var get = new htmldb_Get(null,$v('pFlowId'),'APPLICATION_PROCESS=P110_CREATE_INVOICE',$v('pFlowStepId'));
    if (!agree)
         return;
    html_ShowElement('AjaxLoading');
    get.addParam('x01',pMilestoneNumber);
    gReturn = get.get();
    alert(gReturn);
    get = null;
    doSubmit();
    In Firefox, the Progress bar appears immediately after the user clicks ok to the confirm request. In IE, it does not appear until the application process returns with the return message.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your reply. You are right, part of the code got stripped off, I guess I failed to use the code brackets before and after. Here is is again using the code brackets:
    Javascript:
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    function create_invoice(pMilestoneNumber){
    var agree=confirm("Are you sure you want to bill this Milestone?");
    var get = new
    htmldb_Get(null,$v('pFlowId'),'APPLICATION_PROCESS=P110_CREATE_INVOICE',$v('pFlowStepId'));
    if (!agree)
         return;
    html_ShowElement('AjaxLoading');
    get.addParam('x01',pMilestoneNumber);
    gReturn = get.get();
    alert(gReturn);
    get = null;
    doSubmit();
    </script>Footer:
    <style>   #AjaxLoading{padding:5px;font-size:18px;width:200px;text-align:center;left:50%;top:20%;position:absolute;border:2px solid #666;background-color:#FFF;}
    </style>
    <div id="AjaxLoading" style="display:none;">..Processing..<br /><img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#processing3.gif" id="wait" />
    </div>I was using IE8, but I found an another computer with IE7 and I have the same problem there.
    My javascript code throws up a confirm message and as soon as a hit ok, Firefox brings up the progress bar and it stays up until the alert message comes back with the return from the application process. Just the way I want it. In IE, the screen just freezes after I hit ok (the same way as if you don't have a progress bar at all), but then when the alert message comes up with the return from the application process, the progress bar comes up (a little late....).
    Do you have any suggestion as to what my problem may be?

  • Progress Bar On Page Process

    Hello
    I have a page process in APEX that takes a while to finish. When I click a button, I want a progress loading widget to appear.
    There is a lot of processing that takes place on this page; however, I only want the progress bar to show when a particular button is pressed for one particular process. I am having trouble getting the progress bar and the process to fire at the same time.
    Process name: P3_REFRESH_AS_TABLE
    /* calls a pl/sql procedure*/
    BEGIN
    PC_ST_PR_POPULATE_ATH_SCHED;
    END;Button Name: P3_REFRESH_TABLE
    I have the Ext JS Library 2.2.1 uploaded to the server.
    This is the progress bar code I am trying to use:
    //==== Progress bar 4 ====
    var pbar4 = new Ext.ProgressBar({
    text:'Waiting on you...',
    id:'pbar4',
    textEl:'p4text',
    cls:'custom',
    renderTo:'p4'
    var btn4 = Ext.get('btn4');
    btn4.on('click', function(){
    Runner.run(pbar4, btn4, 19, function(){
    pbar4.updateText('All finished!');
    });This is the CSS code:
    .status {
    color:#555;
    .x-progress-wrap.left-align .x-progress-text {
    text-align:left;
    .x-progress-wrap.custom {
    height:17px;
    border:1px solid #686868;
    overflow:hidden;
    padding:0 2px;
    .ext-ie .x-progress-wrap.custom {
    height:19px;
    .custom .x-progress-inner {
    height:17px;
    background: #fff;
    .custom .x-progress-bar {
    height:15px;
    background:transparent url(images/custom-bar.gif) repeat-x 0 0;
    border-top:1px solid #BEBEBE;
    border-bottom:1px solid #EFEFEF;
    border-right:0;
    }Any help on this is appreciated
    Regards,
    Kelly

    Thank you Luis and Chris for your response.
    I have been able to successfully use Carl's logic only when the page process is not set to go off when the button associated with the processing bar is clicked. However, there are a few buttons on the page so each time the page gets submitted the page process fires off if it is not associated to a button. Is there a condition I can use that will prevent the process from firing until the button associated to the processing bar is clicked?
