API for Fusion HCM

I am an independent developer  and wanted to create an app which retrieves data from Fusion HCM. Does HCM provide any kind of API (REST/SOAP) by which i can fetch those data. A link to the documentation to the apis will be very helpful

anybody has some idea over this question?

  • Fusion HCM Compensation: which table stores Individual Award and approvals?

Hi - Not seeing any Fusion app forum so I'm asking for leads here about DB sources for Fusion HCM's Individual Award (IA) transaction to customize in OTBI. If there's a better forum to post, please advise. I looked at OBIEE and OBIA but this question is Comp domain rather than technology specific to those forums.
We want to build ADF VO/VL objects for OTBI to report on IA transaction details. The seeded OTBI doesn't support this so we need customization. Would like to know the Fusion tables that hold IA transactions and the Approval Management Service (AMX) workflow for the IA so we could build ADF VO objects for them.
We looked in OER and found the CMP_TRANSACTIONS table. It has focal transactions but we don't know if IA offcycle transactions are stored there or not. We could not find AMX tables in OER.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Oliver -
Thanks so much for quick response. For Individual Awards, we use them for 1-off bonus and stock transaction that's outside of annual/bi-annual cyclical program. The manager will initiate the IA awards directly to the recipient but transaction still go through an approval chain before payout. Before Fusion HCM, there is Individual Compensation Distribution in EBS for these offcycle transactions.
Could you ask where is Variable Compensation is stored between submission but before it's fully approved, i.e. pending workflow approval? Based on my understanding of R12 before Fusion, pay details would not go into pay element entries and entry values until it's fully approved.
Similarly, if Human Workflow is used for Variable Compensation, which main table(s) is storing workflow header and workflow approval steps?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Hardware requirement for Fusion Applications HCM installation

    Hi Team,
I want to install fusion applications for HCM.
Can any one suggest the minimum hardware requirement for installation.
Please help me with any documents.
    Thanks,
    Chandra

    Dear Chandra,
Please note that Fusion Applications installation involves following components.
    1. Oracle Identity and Access Management components (Middleware infrastructure)
    2. Oracle Database for IDM
    3. Oracle Database for Fusion Apps
    4. Fusion Applications Domains (includes Admin and managed servers for Fusion Applications)
I have posted a guide on installing Fusion applications on 2 node setup and if you have sufficient hardware to host 2 VMs then it can be done on single server as well.
    http://www.oratraining.com/blog/2013/03/oracle-fusion-applications-installation-step-by-step-guide-11-1-6/
This will explain the 2 node architecture which I have prepared.
    http://www.oratraining.com/blog/2013/03/fusion-applications-architecture-for-2-node-setup/
The minimum memory requirement changes if you select more products since in Fusion apps each products have their own domain and if you select more products then there will be more application managed servers (even if you don't select a product family, it will still create some managed weblogic servers based on dependency with selected products)
The minimum memory requirement to host IDM and consolidated DB in 1 node is 10-12 GB
The minimum memory requirement to host Fusion Applications domains on 2nd node is 64 GB (for 1 product family, for all products selected then 128 GB)
Please note that these are "minimum" requirements based on my experience, not as per the documents since what we are talking about is installing for "learning", not for production, where you will host various components in separate nodes.
    Thanks

  • What are the installation steps for Oracle Fusion HCM

    Hi all
I will like to ask, what are the installation steps for Oracle Fusion HCM as well as can it work on Windows or only on virtual machine?
    Thanks

If you're looking to install Fusion HCM, your best bet is to install on linux, eg, Oracle Enterprise Linux. It's up to you whether you put that in a Virtual Machine or not. I don't think Windows is an available platform for Fusion Apps at the moment, although am prepared to be corrected if you find anything to the contrary!
If you're looking to do an install on your own PC/laptop, you're probably out of luck - you'll be needing around 128GB of RAM. Check out this post:

Atul has also posted some good stuff on installing:

  • Oracle Fusion HCM.

    Hi,
I need to do conversion of data from legacy system to Oracle Fusion HCM.
Like Ebiz do we have any API's to move HCM data in fusion? If so where I can get it.
    Thanks,
    Sankara K

    Hi Sankara,
Please check if this metalink note will be of any help to you. Here they have mentioned for coexistence model, but i guess this gives us information on how data can be migrated from EBiz to Fusion HCM.
An Overview of the Main HR2HR Integration Stages in the Fusion HCM CoExistence Model [ID 1332571.1]
Kindly let me know if this work, as even i have a similar requirement to work. But currently i do not have any access to the fusion instance, so i wasn't able to test this.

  • Is HCM Data Loader functional on fusion HCM release 8? or will it be on release 9?

I understand that the long-term plan for data loading is to provide a single tool, which is referred to as HCM Data Loader.
HCM Data Loader is intended to provide the standard data-import solution and a single entry point for managing bulk data loading to Oracle Fusion HCM.
What is the task to use this tool? (document with explanations)
Also can someone explain (in short) when to use each one the functions currently delivered by HCM File-Based Loader, HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader,
and some of the specialized data loaders and the tasks needed to get to this tools.

I have no knowledge of HCM feature availability, however this seems duplicate of this support forum thread. Adding the link here in case someone else is looking for the same information.

  • Java api for mediator fault handling

    Hi,
I am trying to find the api for this interface and classes, so I can program to the requirements.
    oracle.integration.platform.faultpolicy.IFaultRecoveryJavaClass;
    oracle.tip.mediator.common.error.recovery.MediatorRecoveryContext
Is it that Oracle does not share the javadocs, I tried the Fusion Middleware javadocs page but could not find it. Is there any reference for this api documentation on how to use them.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Please see chapter "11.4.3 How to Use a Java Action Fault Policy" of the development guide:

  • How to get a Fusion HCM demo version

    Hi,
I'm a new Oracle Partner, discovering this great OPN CloudConnection community. We are an ISV who develops a virtual assistant to help/support users of business apps (ERP, CRM, HR...)
A customer of mine is asking us to develop a POC in order to validate that our virtual assistant is correctly integrated with Oracle Fusion HCM.
How to do that ? is there a place, where we could test Fusion HCM ?
    Thanks for your help
    Alain

    Hello,
For Electronics Workbench 5.x you don't need a Release Code, only your Serial Number. If you need the installer please send the request to [email protected], include your Serial Number and contact information.
Have in mind that we no longer support version 5, the installer could fail depending on your operating system.

  • Oracle EBS HR and Fusion HCM comparison

    Hi All,
Can someone give me comparison of EBS HR and Fusion HCM organization structure? For example, in EBS HR we have business group. What is the comparable object in Fusion HCM? Likewise, what are the other one to once comparison in organizational hierarchy? And what are the new levels added / removed in Fusion HCM?
    Thanks,
    CAH

Have you looked at the documentation and see if it helps?
    Oracle Fusion Applications Documentation
    Oracle E-Business Suite Documentation
I'm not sure if you can find a comparison documented at Oracle websites so you might log a SR and see what Oracle support would suggest.

  • How to Setting sub-competencies in Fusion HCM

    Hello, Good afternoon.
I am implementing a project in Fusion HCM Talent Management and the client wants to manage competencies with sub-competencies, and determine the competencies' value according to the individual values of the sub-competencies in the performance evaluation. Please, could you guide me in which way could I configure Fusion to address that behavior.
    Thank You,

    Hi Ashish,
Of course, the customer has a compentencies model in which each one of the competency is framed within a set of behaviors or sub competencies, and according to whether the employee meets or not taht behavior is determined by the final score of the competency in performance evaluation.
For example, the client has a competency called "Creating value for customers" and has the following sub competencies:
    Focus on customers
    Encourage innovation
    Adapt easily
Each of the sub competencies has a weight, then they are sum up to return the value of the competency "Creating value for customers" in the performance evaluation.
I understand that in Fusion, the competencies are set by Content Types & Content Items, and when creating performance evaluation are evaluated in the content profile, but the customer is interested in changing that for the behavior described before.
Could you suggest me how to set Fusion in order to give them an alternative?
    Regards,
    Joanna

  • Oracle Fusion HCM documentation

    Hi,
I am new to Oracle Apps R12 and I want to learn Oracle HCM from scratch. I am Oracle Apps technical developer. I know general navigation of Oracle Apps R12. Where can I find documentation for HCM?
Is there much difference in Oracle Fusion and Oracle R12? Which version will be useful? Can I directly learn Oracle Fusion HCM or do I have to start with R12 first?
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Aditya
    Edited by: 905620 on Feb 26, 2012 11:03 PM

Documentation for R12 can be found at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/documentation/applications-167706.html
Documentation for Fusion Apps can be found at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/documentation/fusion-apps-doc-1508435.html
Both these releases have different functionality and can be learned independently of each other.
For HCM, Oracle Fusion utilizes a lot of functionality that has been adopted from Peoplesoft.

If you use version 2.0 of the rxtx library then it provides a complete implementation of the javax.comm package.
Version 2.1 does not (its in the gnu.io namespace)

  • I need API for Narrator in Ease of Access

    Hi,
I need to see if Narrator accessibility is on/off. (Only on WP 8.1)
How can it be done? Is there any API for this?
I was googling for a long time and can't see anything.

While I recognize the potential for abuse, an API for determining whether or not Narrator is running would be very useful for developing accessible apps that work across devices.
In my limited experience developing the test application for a Cordova accessibility plugin on Windows Phone 8.1, I can provide a couple good reasons for providing a way to detect if Narrator is running.
Aria live regions simply don’t appear to work on Windows Phone 8.1. If you test any web pages that use live regions, Narrator on Windows Phone fails to announce changes to the live region.
Live regions seem to work on the desktop, but are harder to work with for providing text to speech for complex interactions than the Windows.Media.SpeechSynthesis API. For example:
It’s difficult to stop speaking a live region update. Once, a screen reader starts speaking a string from a live region, removing the text node or replacing it with an empty string will not stop speaking that string.
I’ve implemented "speak" and "stop" methods to speak or stop speaking a string of text in my Cordova accessibility plugin for Windows, but without knowing whether or not Narrator is on or off, the methods will work all the
time, even when Narrator is off, which is not desirable.
Cordova apps are often developed to use gestures for navigation. The pointer event listeners that respond to these gestures may not be accessible when Narrator is active, in which case is important to provide an alternate mode of navigation. Windows
Phone already provides an example of this; if you scroll to the bottom of the start screen, there is a button that navigates to the application list, which may be there for accessibility, because the two-finger swipe gesture to access the application
list may not be easily discoverable to someone using Narrator.
Here are links to the test application and mobile accessibility plugin for reference:
