When looking into NIRG's bin folder there is nirg.tlb.
Is this a public library and is it possible to Remote Control NIRG?

Hi Al,
This morning i spent some time to the COM interface (.tbl) which is shipped with nirg.
After some tests, i got it running in that way i liked. Open, Reload and Save Project.
It is working well. Only on closing i do not know the right parameter value.
It would be nice on future releases that there is a short parameter description.

yes Jim that is a good idea, I think may leave a single NetWare 6.5 server running just to be the master and also to the XNTPD service that a lot of my machines run!
One other point is how will the API connect to my GroupWise that will be on another box (or VM machine) ? Does the API only run on UNC or can it run over IP?

You could always put a small VMware machine running NetWare *on* the
Windows box, to handle the API gateway. Would at least eliminate the
need to leave an old piece of hardware up and running just for that.

Can we have multiple policies for the same gateway?

Hi all,
Is there a way in which we can have multiple policies for the default gateway?
When I try adding a new gateway (which is not mentioned in the installer.properties file) and have policies, there is a 404 error.
When I add another service to the same gateway, I get an error - that the service could not be added to default policy.
Help me please...
My need is as follows
Want to have multiple policies, so that each of the web-service can be attached to same. The relation needs to be one-to-many. One policy can have multiple web-services.

Its not possible for the same development object. Only 1 person can access an object at a time and if mutiple users modify an object new TASKs are created under the same TRANSPORT.
Only after releasing the tr you can create a new tr on the same object.

If you use version 2.0 of the rxtx library then it provides a complete implementation of the javax.comm package.

I need to see if Narrator accessibility is on/off. (Only on WP 8.1)
How can it be done? Is there any API for this?
I was googling for a long time and can't see anything.

While I recognize the potential for abuse, an API for determining whether or not Narrator is running would be very useful for developing accessible apps that work across devices.
In my limited experience developing the test application for a Cordova accessibility plugin on Windows Phone 8.1, I can provide a couple good reasons for providing a way to detect if Narrator is running.
Aria live regions simply don’t appear to work on Windows Phone 8.1. If you test any web pages that use live regions, Narrator on Windows Phone fails to announce changes to the live region.
Live regions seem to work on the desktop, but are harder to work with for providing text to speech for complex interactions than the Windows.Media.SpeechSynthesis API. For example:
It’s difficult to stop speaking a live region update. Once, a screen reader starts speaking a string from a live region, removing the text node or replacing it with an empty string will not stop speaking that string.
I’ve implemented "speak" and "stop" methods to speak or stop speaking a string of text in my Cordova accessibility plugin for Windows, but without knowing whether or not Narrator is on or off, the methods will work all the
time, even when Narrator is off, which is not desirable.
Cordova apps are often developed to use gestures for navigation. The pointer event listeners that respond to these gestures may not be accessible when Narrator is active, in which case is important to provide an alternate mode of navigation. Windows
Phone already provides an example of this; if you scroll to the bottom of the start screen, there is a button that navigates to the application list, which may be there for accessibility, because the two-finger swipe gesture to access the application

According to the oracle knowledgebase, there is no Public API. But there is an enhancement request that you might want to add your company to.

You need to first create a currency translation types using transaction RRC1.
Tab1 - Exchange Rate: -
You need to give a exchange rate based on which currency conversion will take place. Check with your business which exchange rate type to be used. You need to extract these exchange rate types from R/3 on a daily basis.
Tab2 - Source Currency
In your case it should be " Source Currency from data record".
Tab3 - Target Currency
You can set the target currency fixed as
USD.
Tab4 - Time reference
You need to check this with business.
You have got two places where you can perform a currency translation.
1) In the update rules and store the converted amounts in USD in cube.
2) Store the original transaction records in the cube and do the currency conversion at the query level.
I would suggest to go for option 2. In the query select the key figure that you want to carry out the currency conversion on. Right click -> properties -> currency translation -> selct the translation key that you have already defined.

API for updating pay_people_groups table..

Is there any API for updating pay_people_groups table. I know we can do it using hr_assignment_api.update_emp_asg_criteria but this API updates the assignement with the new pay_group_id. I want to know is there is any API which can only update the pay_people_groups and not the assignment.

Hi,
Technically you want update values for people group. If you remember At the time of definition of people group you created value set and attached people group flex field.
People group are created on the basis of combination of segments. So you have to update only values not people group.
I doubt oracle provides API to update key flex field.
You may get API to update values try out that option.

It's enough if the API works with MySQL and/or Oracle.

I need urgent help in business catalyst SOAP api for [Product_UpdateInsert] operation.

Hi Everyone, I am new in Business Catalyst, but, my company is working with BC for a while. I have a task to import external data (such as catalogue, products, orders, shopping cart etc) to business catalyst native tables via SOAP api. I am able to use "Product_ListRetrieve" function that gave me products from BC. Now I want to insert and update product list, for which the api call is "Product_UpdateInsert". I am not being able to feed in even a single record. I need any code (jquery, php, javascript, java etc) as a sample, that works with SOAP api for this function. It is very urgent. Please help me. Hi BCMan, Thanks for replying. Yes, the error is from BC side. The format was invalid. I fixed the issue today. Actually, I was pushing data from my PHP server to BC host system using SOAP api. I am still getting format errors, but I am able to insert data into products table.
One more question if you don't mind. Is it possible to use JQuery/Javascript to push data into BC tables in real time (while browsing products table) using customized pages? There are documents to solve this. However, I could not find examples of how I could fetch data from JSON file using JQuery and then populate products/catalog/order tables.

Adobe Product API for converting mulptiple formats into PDF and to Embed PDF into PDF ?

Is there any adobe product that allow us to convert multiple formats into .pdf format and also allow us to attach (embed) other pdf files object into a pdf, is there any .net API for that, I want to do this through programming.

We want to use this product for our application, for the purpose of converting different files formats into a PDF file and also for attaching files into a single PDF using a web application and windows service. I have to evaluate some features and point regarding this product which are as below:
1. PDF form creation in future requirement.
2. Maximum files size that i can convert into PDF.
3. Memory management when converting N number of files.
4. Compatibility with C#, .Net Framework 4.0, using MS Visual Studio 2010.
5. Support of the product for future.
6. Primary requirement to use PDFLiveCyle for above features.
7. Basic guidelines before using PDFLiveCyle.
8. Ease of coding using PDFLiveCyle.
9. 32bit or 64bit support.
10. Lisencing information
