API to load Process Instruction for Recipes

Hi All,
We are in R12. We are implementing OPM. In that I could able to get the API to load the Recipe header and details. But I am not able to get the API for loading Process Instructions to the recipes.
Please let me know, if there are any API available to load the 'Process Instruction' for the recipes.
Thanks,
Gowri

Shalantha,
I did come across that note and tried loading a single row. I saw that it did insert the row into per_images table, but when I went into the front-end, the image does not display for the employee. There was no error, it's just blank in the Picture screen. What is the image format? There are couple of reported bugs/issues with loading images (Search Metalink for PERWSIMG image), and review the notes.
Note: 398926.1 - Cannot Load Images in Oracle HRMS
https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=398926.1
Note: 462967.1 - Upload Image Over 32k Into PER_IMAGES From FND_LOBS as Blobs
https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=462967.1
Also, is SQL Loading directly into per_images supported by Oracle?Yes, it is. Otherwise you would not see this suggested as per the note referenced in my previous reply.

  • Process instructions for particular process order.

    Hi SAP gurus,
How can I find table level data of process instructions (Like READ 1 , READ2 , INSTR ) maintain  for particular process order.
If should not with respect to recipe but it should be respect to process order.
Can any Plz buddy explain me the chain of  tables starting  from order number?
    Best Regards,
    Parag Save

    Hi...
i could not find the table for the relationship u r looking for... but i would suggest the following...
Go to SE16.. press F4 in the table list...go to the application help... their you will find tables for each module... even for PP you will find table specific to process industry... this you can search ur own what can be relevant for ur requirement... finally u can use SAP query to join some table to the get the information u want....
Try this...hopw it should work for u...

  • Custom process Instruction for co-product

    Hello everyone,
I have a material BOM in which one of the components has negetive value and hence is a co-product.
Now i have a process order for this material,in which if i go inside operations and then by selecting a phase if i go for Process Instructions
there exists a Process Instruction category ZCONF in which i have created PI custom characteristics fot teh co-product.
Now the problem is I want to fetch the values from the BOm for the co-product when the process order is released.I am not able to find an exit for this.
    Kindly help.
    Regards,
    Yashi Trivedi

    Hi Yash,
The below statement is not so clear.
"Now the problem is I want to fetch the values from the BOm for the co-product when the process order is released.I am not able to find an exit for this".
What values are you trying to fectch to production order.

  • How to print process instruction in process order.

    Hi dudes,
,y client is not having Process management interface, but they want to maintain process instruction for phases in recipe and want to take print of process instructions  in process order after release process order.
Please explain the path for printing process instructions copied into process order.
if some one assign PIs to phase in recipe, will control recipes be created after release of process order.
    Regards
    Daniel

The easiest way to do what you want is to actually create the PI sheet and then print it off from the view PI sheet transaction (CO60).  This is then all standard functionality.
to do this you will need to set the configuration to create the control recipe when the process order is released and send it to a recipe destination.

  • Process instructions

    Hi,
I have maintained CONS_I as the Instruction category with scope of generation as 01 (for all reservation items) in customizing.
When I create the process order and try to generate the control recipe I get the error that PPPI_RESERVATION_ITEM is not assigned a value. When I checked I find that the system is creating a PI for the header material also with PI item number 0000. I dont understand why this is getting created though I require only PI instruction for consumption of components.
Please let me know why do we get PI with number 0000 for the header material.
    Regards
    Ram

    Dear SIr,
I have checked it for almost 10 times and finds that Gen Scope 01 - For All reservation which you have used earlier is perfectly ok.It gives process instruction for only order Components.
Gen. Scope 02 - For all order Items gives process instruction for only Header material and 03 - For all Reservation and order item gives process instrcution for both Components(9999) and header(0000) material.
If you are using any filter then remove it.
If it is possibel then insted of using CONS_I pls use CONS_1.

  • Process Instructions not match

    Hi Folks,
when i Display the process instruction in a process order using transaction co3 in operation field foun in the PO menu bar and choose the operation that contain the process instruction,it does not match when i looked the same operation using  transaction C203 (Display Control Recipe). can you please enlighten me with this.and what possible solution i can apply tomake them the same.

    Hello Allan.
    The problem may be..
You have assigned a Control recipe destination to the Phase. & In the configuration you might have maintained some process instructions for this destination.
And also in recipe level, you are maintaining some Process Instructions.
So while creating process order there are something going wrong. System is attaching all the process instructions from the configuration & also the instructions attached in the recipe phase.
So plz check the config for this.
Still problem exists plz get back.
    Regards
    Mahesh

  • Process instructions coming automatically

    Dear Gurus
I have assigned process instruction in a master receipe for a particular material.
Suppose there are 4 phasesin the receipe and suppose I have assigned the instructions only in phase 1.
Now while creating the process order for that particular material I am finding that ,the system is picking up a process
instruction for the last phase with no 9999 and asking for values for the chrecteristics to generate the control receipe
(it is also asking for values for the chrecteristics that I have assigned in the first phase which is normal).
Where from the system  is picking this process instruction which I didnt assign in master reciepe.
    Regards
    Sandip Sarkar

    Hi,
Check whether Status is PIGN is set in the order?
If yes then those PI categories are comes with control recipe destination (o10c).Check your control recipe destination.Go to Process Instruction to be generayed tab.You will find solution of your query.

  • How to design data load process chain?

    Hello,
I am designing data load process chains for the first time and would like to get some general information on best practicies in that area.
    My situation is as follows:
I have 3 source systems (R3 and two for which I use flat files).
How do you suggest, should I define one big chain for all my loading process (I have about 20 InfoSources) or define a few shorter e.g.
    1. Master data R3
    2. Master data flat file system 1
    3. Master data flat file system 2
    4. Transaction data R3
    5. Transaction data file sys 1
... and execute one after another succesful end?
Could you also suggest me any links or manuals on that topic?
    Thank you
    Andrzej

    Andrzej,
My advise is to make separate chains for master & transaction data (always load in this order!) and afterwards make a 'master chain' where you insert these 2 chains one after the other (so: Start process -> Master data chain -> Transaction data chain).
Regarding the separate chains; paralellize as much as possible (if functionally allowed). Normally, the number of parallel ('vertical') chains equals the nr of CPU's available (check with basis-person).
Hope this provides you with enough info to start off with!

    Marco

  • Seeking for API to deal with XML processing instructions

    Hi all,
I have a requirement to list all the processing instructions inside a xml document.
    E.g. For the document
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <?AAA att1="att 1"?>
    <?BBB?>
    <?CCC?>
    <body>
      <empty>True</empty>
    </body>
I need to print out PIs AAA, BBB, CCC.
Two solutions i can find are:
    1. to treat the doc as a string and do a pattern search for <?*?>.
    2. use IF_IXML_DOCUMENT to traverse all the nodes and check their node types against IF_IXML_NODE=>CO_NODE_PI_PARSED and TYPE = IF_IXML_NODE=>CO_NODE_PI_UNPARSED.
However, I am wondering if there's any xml API to deal with XML PIs.
During my research on this, i got IF_IXML_DOCUMENT. It provides two creation APIs for XML PI: CREATE_PI_PARSED and CREATE_PI_UNPARSED. However, there is no corresponding getter API found.
Does anybody know if there is such one?
    Thanks in advance.

You won't get much response with an error like that, what I can suggest is have a look at one of the blogs I wrote going through loading metadata :- http://john-goodwin.blogspot.com/2008/11/odi-series-loading-essbase-metadata.html
Try building some test metadata loads against the sample.basic application to get a feel for how to do it.

  • Process instruction sheet and control recipe

    dear,
can u let me know how the process instruction sheet is created or maintained and how the control recipe and destination works.
if I want to start with PI sheet and control recipe in my organisation , how do I go ahead with configuration as well as process.
    thnx-rgds
    Amitabh

    Hi,
In control recipe destination the destination type must be browser based.Another is Abap based generally it is using.
So select that recipe destination, select phase & go in deatil u will find INSTR.READ1, READ2,SIGN which can used as a instruction.
There are two types 1:process sheet 2: remote fuction call (RFC)
Process sheet is used for giving instructions to line operator & also entering data during reaction etc per period.
For INSTR- select it give instruction for that particular phase.
READ1 - In which we are one column is available where we can enter 1 value by line opearator
READ2- Here 4 columns are available u can use it as date, time, temp, total etc. as per your requirement.
SIGN- Here u can use it as a to identify who entered the value.Systen will ask for pass word after entering ID
After creation & releasing  process order  create contriol recipe.
Thern go for T code- CO 53 - send control recipe(control recipe monitor)
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/f3/6ee4117aed11d2a5fe0060087d1a6b/content.htm
CO60 - Operator will enter the values
    CO54 - send process messages
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/ac/6a101268ce11d2a67600104b57eaa3/content.htm
    CO55- Check the report.
Check the above & reward if useful.

  • Error in process chain for PCA full load

    Hello everyone,
I'm trying to use a process chain in order to delete a previous full load of plan data in a cube prior to the new load (to avoid double records). The successor job in the process chain is loading a delta of actual data into the same cube (same info source).
When executing the process chain (and the included info package (full load)), the setting "Automatic loading of similar/identical requests from info cube" in the info package is not working (I have ticked "full or init, data-/infosource are the same")...
I have checked that the function itself works as I have executed the info package manually with success. So the problem is the chain somehow.
In the chain I just execute the info package as usual... so to my understanding, it should work the same way as if I executed it manually. Or am I wrong? Is some additional setting required in the chain in order to make it work?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Fredrik

    Hi Fredrik,
not all settings in infopackages work in chains in the same way they do while running the package manually. Mostly you can check that with pressing F1 on the setting. In your case, you need to add a process type for deleting the data to the chain. In your chain maintenance, look at process types and then in load processes .... There you will find the type you need.
    kind regards

  • Data Load process for 0FI_AR_4  failed

    Hi!
I am aobut to implement SAP Best practices scenario "Accounts Receivable Analysis".
When I schedule data load process in Dialog immediately for Transaction Data 0FI_AR_4 and check them in Monitor the the status is yellow:
On the top I can see the following information:
    12:33:35  (194 from 0 records)
    Request still running
    Diagnosis
No errors found. The current process has probably not finished yet.
    System Response
The ALE inbox of BI is identical to the ALE outbox of the source system
    or
the maximum wait time for this request has not yet been exceeded
    or
the background job has not yet finished in the source system.
    Current status
No Idocs arrived from the source system.
    Question:
which acitons can  I do to run the loading process succesfully?

    Hi,
The job is still in progress it seems.
You could monitor the job that was created in R/3 (by copying the technical name in the monitor, appending "BI" to is as prefix, and searching for this in SM37 in R/3).
Keep on eye on ST22 as well if this job is taking too long, as you may have gotten a short dump for it already, and this may not have been reported to the monitor yet.
