API: Transport connect failed

Hello,
I've a Tacacs server ver. 3.2 running on a Win2000 SRV SP4 for outbound connections and a twin server for validate inbound connections (from Vpn Cli).
Sometimes service Tacacs seems hang (more often for outbound conns, but sometimes for inbound also), cpu's process CSTacas becomes over 90%, authentication/authorisation are not permitted and I should restart service to let Tacacs to work again.
Any ideas ? I post TCS.log if useful, thanks in advance

Hello,
This can happen due to,
-Corrupt registry
-SYN attack which overwhelmed the cstacacs service with half-open tcp connections.
-Single to single connect, acs getting out of threads, please disable single connect on acs and on aaa-client.
ACS-->Network configuration-->AAA-client--->Edit--->Single connect.
Please check this bug,

"Connect failed" while trying to transport

I am trying to implement a SAP Note and there it was necessary to import some transport request. I was able to add the request to the STMS-transaction, but I am unable to transport it. Every time I try I am getting the same error: "Connect failed". I checked the environment variables of the user, but these seem to be right set. But if I am looking to the trace file it seems that there is a problem with some user.
Is there in anyone that has a solution for this?

SQL azure connectivity fails all of a sudden

Hi, I have a website hosted on GoDaddy server and many users access this website with their respective username and passwords. My database is in Azure. All of a sudden when the users of this website try to access the website with their username and password
they fail to be identified as valid users though they are valid.
consequently when such a thing happens almost for more than 5 mins no user can login to the website. but i can very well connect to the database from my local server or through the azure portal.
the series of errors that gets logged into event viewer are as follows:
1. System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.
2. System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: a transport-level error has occured when sending the request to the server.(provider:TCP provider,error:0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.)
3. System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured
to allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.)
4. SourceEdge.BCL.BCLException: Unable to Execute ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.
5. System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: connection
after the error shown in 5 occurs all the subsequent logins will result in invalid user though the values are not null.
Can you tell me why this error happens all of a sudden. but it gets back to normal after a few minutes or even takes hours sometimes.

Firstly check if R3trans -d is working fine.
If so, please chek if the following parameters are set properly.
DIR_LIBRARY=/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run
TRANSDIR = ....\trans
<SID>/DBHOST = <HOSTNAME>
<SID>/DBNAME = <SID>
<SID>/DBTYPE = ora
Execute the below command and check the transport profile:
tp check all pf=/usr/sap/trans/bin/TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
Please confirm the permission of the /oracle/ directory
The permission of the /oracle should be 755.
Also check if the import queue is not locked.
Also please ensure the Kernel is of latest version, if not, please update the DBSL shared library.Please look at the note 19466.
Finally you can try once distributing and activating the transport routes once.
When you executed command R3trans -d logfile trans.log will be created.
Please check this file for exact error information.
Paste the log file here.

Solution tried :
1) As no role wtih name LcrInstanceWriterLD was existing in the server ,hence created a new role with same name and assigned the LCR related action . Assigned the role to the user through which we are creating JCOs.
But we still getting the same error.

Hi Poonam!
Got to dig in the past a bit, I remember Users being able to create SLD object have to have certain permissions set in the J2EE UME. Simple Admin rights do not suffer, if I recall right.
Unfortunately I cannot go further in detail because this issue has been solved by a long gone collegue of mine.

Please update the host and sevice file first then check the SLD test and SLD Data supplier in visual admin.
Also check and verify the data using in the Jco destination creation.

We have installed SAP SCM IDES 7.0 on Windows 2008 R2 Server, We have integrated the LIVE CACHE from LC10 initially it was working fine. Query Element in Transport Connection

Gurus,
    When i transported my report to production it failed because some elements are
    missing;
    Question1 - How do i identify the objects based on the GUID (that long alpha
                      numeric number).
    Question2 - I don't know how i missed couple of elements because i have
                      collected the query element in transport connection, thought it
                      would bring any object associated with the query.

Hi Geni,
I would take the objects which are in red in the failed request.
copy that object from the list which is the ELTUID.
Then goto se16 > RSZELTDIR table
Enter that ELTUID which is the first field and execute
This will give u the name of the element which is missing from the transport request.
Then collect that element and transport again.

We had a credit card processor API that was working fine until this weekend when they updated their SSL certificate. Then we started getting the connection failed message. So I went in and got a copy of their .cer file and I imported it into the KeyStore using the keytool. I reboot the VM and the CFHTTP works for about 5 minutes then starts giving the Connection Failure message again. The URL comes up fine in a browser on the desktop of the VM. I'm at a loss as to what to do now. The places online where I see people having this issue they all claim an import of the keyfile fixes it. You would think it would work find all the time or not at all. Makes no sense why it works for a little bit after a reboot then doesn't work again all the sudden. Anybody got any suggestions?

I have prepared Quality system from Production system as System copy.I have upgarded Kernel from 620 to 640 in Quality system.
After Kernel upgrade , Server details are as below
Operating System : windows 2003 IA 64
Database : SQL server 2000 IA 64

patch number is 43.

I am able to transport request from Development to Quality . But when I try to import request from Quality I am getting error message "Connect failed due to DBSL Load lib failure"

cannot find the DLL dbmssslib.dll in path( K:\usr\sap\NBQ\SYS\exe\run)
problem when loading DB-dependent DLLs."
I have set Environmnet variable ( DBMS_TYPE value as mss) for nbqadm user.
I have seen that dbmssslib.dll file is exist in exe/run path.
Does anyone having an Idea , how to resolve this issue.Pls help me

Issue is resolved by myself.
Instead of update Kernel to 640 , I have downloaded latest 620 kernel patch on IA 64 .
Since my production server is running on x86 and 620 kernel , i have downloaded 620 kernel for IA 64 .
That resolved my issue.

Does anybody know what is this:

err:: No such file or directory
Error [2] in socket() call!

I have two programs with main methods.
I am trying to run B and I get the above Error.
But When I try to run A I get no error but the program runs finely.
Moreover, the Program A is a simple program whish prints a one-line message.
Had to write to test if my netbeans is working properly.
The program B has code which just connects to a DB-table and gets some records and
inserts it into another.
The case is that I was never getting any exception before.
Not sure why this has suddenly started coming up.
I guessed there was some problem with JPDA - tried to modify that- but to no use.
I am getting these errors when I run the code in net-beans 3.6.
(Again, I never had such a problem before.)
My run time options are :-
-Xdebug -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y
I tried this one also :-
-Xdebug -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_shmem,server=y
This one does not give the error but my program never exits.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Common Error 5: -103 Failed to connect
Root cause: Incorrect company selected/company not upgraded.
Solution: Ensure in the company field the correct database is used. Also ensure the database has been upgraded to the correct patch. The database that is installed when you install B1iC is called B1if. This is not a normal SAP Business One database so should update the SLD to an actual SAP Business One database name.

If you're trying to connect to a Bonjour server on the remote network, that won't work over a layer 3 VPN. Use something like Hamachi or one of the SSH-tunnelling Bonjour proxy apps for that.
