API040 Mapping with name table1 already exists

Hi,
In a OWB 10.2.0.1 I did a "create and bind" and got a message "API0408: Mapping with name table_1 already exists", even though it does not. I deleted the mapping and started over again and go the same message. I veified the table does not exist.
Any help is appreciated!

You did create and bind on table in mapping and got this message.
All I get is API0408: Table object with name table1 already exists. witch makes sense if table exists, but you got message that mapping already exists.
Can you try this again with another table name, and please check if you are looking for the table that you get error for, in the right scheme.
thanks

  • Cannot backup my files / copy my files and folders due to error message " The operation can't be completed because an item with the name ".DS_Store" already exists. "

    Hi Apple community!
I have a [rather worrying] problem.
When I try to copy all my files from my documents on my mac [or the entire documents folder] into an external drive, I get this error message
" The operation can’t be completed because an item with the name “.DS_Store” already exists. "
I am not given an option to skip this file or anything else.
But I simply cannot complete the operation!
I have tried deleting a few of the .ds_store files, [both in the original and in the destinations]
    but no success.
    The same thing keeps happening.
At first, this was just happening when I was trying to backup to my dropbox folder [the one on my mac's harddrive, which gets synced to the cloud],
but then I tried to back up my documents to my external hard drive, and I realized it is giving me the same error message.
So effectively, it seems I cannot backup my files anywhere!
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and  Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • Error message "The operation can't be completed because an item with the name .DS_Store already exists"

Major headaches with copying files and folders between drives. I constantly (and I mean constantly) have to resort to copying files across in small batches (fewer than 10 works best) because anytime I try to copy lots of files and folders from my mac to an external hard drive (or from one external HD to a second external HD), I ALWAYS get the error message  "The operation can't be completed because an item with the name .DS_Store already exists".
The files and folders are all Mac-generated, so hint or trace of foreign OSs in the mix.
    All file types are susceptible
the HDs are all Mac OS X formatted, no foreign file formats involved
the HDs are all journal-enabled, OS X extended formats
have looked on here for previous posts, past suggestion was to disable creation of DS_Store files - not really a solution and realistically, defeats the purpose of their creation
    any ideas anyone?
would appreciate any thoughts or sugestions, this has got me beat
the context is that I have a lot of image files that I am copying (trying to...) new external 3TB drives for backup and the job appears endless if I have to do this in batches of 10 or so..!
    many thanks for any suggestions

This is definitively a nuisance. When copying large amounts of files between volumes  try opening a terminal window and use use ditto. You need to type the directory paths of the source and the destination volume. When it starts ditto just coupes and optionally overwrites anything on the destination. You can get a verbose mode where it lists all activities.
    gunnars-mac-mini-i7:Volumes gunnar$ man ditto

  • The operation could not be completed because an item with the name xyz already exists

I am trying to make a click and drag backup on an external FAT 32 drive to compliment my Time Machine backup (long story) and I've done this each time by dragging my critical folders into the drive. I get a message asking me to stop, replace or skip, and whether to apply to all items. i click replace, apply all, and let it go.
however, one stubborn folder refuses to comply. every single time I click and drag a group of folder that includes that one, I get a message saying "the operation could not be completed because an item with the name xyz already exists" even after I selected the the "apply all" prompt. at which point, the Mac stops transferring ALL the other files.
I figured, OK, i'll just transfer the other folders individually and then deal with this folder later. so I do that, and once I get to the offending folder, I try to transfer just that one folder into the drive. no good; I get the operation message again. I decide to just transfer the contents of the folder, rather than the folder itself. No good, I just get the operation message about one of the folders within the main folder.
anyone know the cause, or at least a fix?

If you've installed a system modification called "TotalFinder," remove it according to the developer's instructions after backing up all data. Log out, log back in, and try again.
Otherwise, open the Info dialog on both the source and the destination volumes. What is the Format of each? For example, it might be "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)".

    Hi Kamalakar
I think this problem happens due to wrong content of SDMKIT.JAR - incorrect crypto SDA is deployed.I dont know the installation procedure you followed because normally this error wont come.
I would rather suggest a work around seeing your problem

  • Help with importing photos - IPhoto assigning file names that already exist

When I import photos from my canon powershot camera, IPhoto has begun assigning file names that are the same as filenames that already exist on photos imported previously. It appears it is deleting those older files (when I go look in my photo library, the older one with the same name is now gone).
I don't know how to name photos as they are imported as it seems to be done automatically and I'm afraid to import more photos and loose my old pics. Can't find anything on the internet when I search on this question - can anyone help?

Thanks so much for your quick reply, TD.
What happens when I plug in my camera is that Iphoto opens, asks me if I want to import photos (and if I want to delete originals), and I click okay or whatever and they are imported. I name the roll/folder, and I photo puts them in the library in that folder in that year.
It makes sense that the camera is numbering them. I think that the ones it is using the same numbers for (ie - IMG0080.jpg) are the numbers on older photos that were assigned by a different camera that we used to have.
So I guess the canon isn't searching on all photo names that have been used, just the ones that it has used in the past.
Unfortunately, when the new photo is named with the same name as an old one, that old one is literally deleted - at least as far as I can tell - and when I go look for it in my photo library, it is no longer there.
I might try to see if there are any help forums for the canon powershot and see what I might learn there.
THanks so much for your help!

  • Object name that already exists on the local directory service

    Hi,
We have 3 domain controllers with Windows 2008 R2 all GC, and the forrest and domain level 2008 R2.
We replaced one domain controller with a windows server 2012 r2, and kept the name and ip. Every thing seems ok with dcdiag and repadmin, but I can see that one newly created computer object has failed with the information below. I can see the computer object
in AD, but is has a different objectID than the event viewer is reporting. I have also tried to seach for it but cant find it. The event id shows only up in the new DC, and its and information event. How can i remove this event, do i need to remove the object
and try to add it to the domain again ?
Trying to seach for the object
    /Regards Andreas

    Hi.
Thanks for reply. I would guess the AD has recognized conflicts sine I have the duplicate COMPUTER accounts displayed in the event logs, but when i search for CNF objects I can`t find any. I have tried the following commands from all 3 DC`s with administrative
rights, but there is no output at all.
    PS C:\Windows\system32> Get-ADComputer -LDAPFilter "(cn=*\0ACNF:*)"
    PS C:\Windows\system32> dsquery * -filter "(cn=*cnf:*)"
    PS C:\Windows\system32> dsquery * -filter "(cn=*\0aCNF:*)"
I have check with the repadmin command one of the computers that are beeing reported as a duplicate from the event viewer.
We have DCA and DCB in the same site, and then we have a second site where DCC is located. See the information below, im not sure how to troubleshoot this... does this information seem to be correct ?
The duplicate messages does not come often, it has now been 2 days since i have seen them, i have not rebooted any DC.
DCA(On this Domain controller there is no report in the event viewer about duplicates. Windows Server 2008 R2 with FSMO roles)

Thanks for support, I will not go further with replacing the other DCA and DCC with Windows Server 2012 R2 before I have solved this issue.
    Added some more information:
I can also see in the event log of DCB
Event ID 1162 - Internal event: The Address Book hierarchy table has been rebuilt.
Not sure if this is related to something?
I can also see in the event log of DCB and DCA
    Event ID 2041
Duplicate event log entries were suppressed.
See the previous event log entry for details. An entry is considered a duplicate if the event code and all of its insertion parameters are identical. The time period for this run of duplicates is from the time of the previous event to the time of this event.
    Event Code:
    4000048a
    Number of duplicate entries:
    1
(On Windows Server 2008 R2 the Event Code is Event Code: 80000b47)

  • Yes please I need to know how to link a new base descriptor created with a field already existing in Oracle.

    Hi,
I need to know how can we give a value to base descriptor newly created in iProcurementWe want to add Market Price from Item Master to the base descriptor. And we want that is field show the value in the shopping catalog.
    Thnaks

I typically create a TEST folder on the remote site.  Upload new pages and dependant files there for debugging and testing purposes.  Then using a 3rd party ftp ware (filezilla, cute ftp or Ws_ftp pro), I move the new site files & folders over to the root directory.  If you have used the same filenames as were on the old site, new pages will overwrite the old ones.  If you used a different naming convention, you will need to delete old files from server.

  • You cannot add a job with a duplicate name, as a web service already exists with name ... please rename the job and try again

We are attempting to add a web service job and getting a duplicate name issue.  I believe we have a caching issue where this job name may already exist but we are unable to see it on the web services status page.
Is there a data services repository database table where I can find these web services jobs listed and clean it up from the backend?

There is no option there that shows me if it is being used as a web service.  Here is my issue with some screen shots.
I look at my current web service enabled jobs looking for B_JOB_CP_MDR_to_GW_EMP but it is not in the list.
I attempt to add it from repository DWXDS9
It throws an error and tells me there is already a web service with this name...
Now there has got to be an internal data services table somewhere that has this job listed as a web service.  I am just trying to figure out what that table may be to determine if we can do some type of cleanup on it so we can add this job again as a web service (so it is visible to us).

  • Create a Playlist from external folder with tracks already existing in iTunes

I was just wondering if its possible to create a playlist from an external folder (on my desktop) with tracks that already exist in iTunes.
I basically have a folder on my desktop that i use with Serato, i was wondering if it'd be possible to sort a playlist in iTunes with the tracklist from the folder? I already have all the tracks on iTunes so i don't want to add them onto iTunes again just to put them into a playlist as i'd have to sort through all the duplicates to delete the non playlisted tracks (theres around 1500 so it wouldn't be a quick task).
Would be much appreciated if anybody can help!

    Hi,
I have an AppleScript that does this.
This script need Spotlight metadata, all files in the folder that you use with Serato should be indexed.
Works well if the tags (name and artist) are defined
    In this script :
it will display a dialog to select your folder
iTunes search track from the library playlist according to (artist, album and title in the Spotlight metadata of each file).
If iTunes found a track, iTunes will add this track to the new playlist.
The script takes 35 seconds for 1000 files on an old machine (PowerMac G5 2 X 1.8 GHz) .
This should take less than 100 seconds for 3500 files on the new machine
    Here is the script :
-- this script need Spotlight metadata, files in the folder should be indexed
set folderPath to (choose folder with prompt "Select the  folder that you use with Serato")
set f to quoted form of POSIX path of folderPath
    my makePlaylist(do shell script "/usr/bin/find " & f & " -type f \\! -name '.*' -print0 | /usr/bin/xargs -0 /usr/bin/mdls -name kMDItemTitle -name kMDItemAlbum -name kMDItemAuthors | /usr/bin/sed 'H;$!d;x;s/\\n[^k]//g'")
