Apimac HideFolders malfunctioning--How to make hidden folders visible?

I used Apimac HideFolders to hide some folders on an external hard drive. At present, the folders do not appear in the Finder; but when I open HideFolders to make them visible, they are listed as "Visible." Since the "Show" option is greyed out, I look to see what happens when I click "Hide," and the Status changes from "Visible" to "Missing."
I downloaded PathFinder, and with it I can see that the files are still there on the drive. What can I do to make them visible? Thanks in advance.

As has been mentioned here before, they are incredibly unhelpful. Their website doesn't list a phone number and their "support page" for the app is written by someone whose first language is definitely not English.

Open the Script Editor in the /Applications/AppleScript/ folder and run the following:

The instructions I provided have nothing to do with Time Machine. Did you try what I suggested? If you select the "alias" file then CTRL- or RIGHT-click and select Show Original in the context menu.
Maybe it would be helpful if you were to provide a more complete description of this issue.

Hello.
Searched this forum (found about 25 identical questions and answers "how to make the library visible").
I turned mine and it is constantly visible now.
Before installing Lion made a bootable image.
When I connect the external HD, I see it in the Finder side bar, click on users>myname and the library folder doesn't show up.
Tried the 3 ways to make it visible but they all bring back and show the Lion's library on my MBP, not the one in the external HD.
Any ideas?
(BTW, I am just an "amateur user", not too heavy, so just, please take in consideration that if you explain to me slowly I will understand quicly)...

Yes, I guess I used the wrong terminology. Anyway, I did a bootable disk/image/clone, however it's called, with CCC (Carbon Copy Cloner), which BTW I am using for at least 3 years and saved several times my behind.
So, if I understood you right, you mean booting from my external HD and make the library visible (I don't remember if the clone was made after installing Lion or still while in Snow L, but will check).
I'll try and update here if it worked.

There is no way to activate the company code field. If your Controlling Area and Company Code have one to one Assignment, then Company code is defaulted from the Controlling Area. However, if multiple Company Codes are assigned to one Controlling Area, then Company Code becomes a mandatory field in the Cost Center master data
Also, in case you have multiple company codes assigned to one controlling area, please check the setting of the Controlling Area in Configuration and see if have selected "Cross Company Code Cost Accounting" . Also, check if you have assigned all the company codes to the controlling area

How to make hidden Drop Lists functional in RBList Subforms?

I have created a form that contains 3 isolated Radio Button lists, each with hidden subforms that are unique per each button.
Two of my RBLists and subforms work perfectly, showing hidden Drop Down List options and other fields as they should when a button is selected.
However, RBList3 presents the Drop Down lists as user entry fields only. Each hidden subform in RBList3 contains one drop down menu and one text box for instructions.
I've used the same javascript to hide/show hidden fields when buttons are selected. All settings seem to match up. Here is a sample of my code:

    this.presence = "hidden";
    newsubform.presence = "hidden";
else if(RBList3.F.rawValue == 2)
    this.presence = "visible";
    newsubform.presence = "hidden";
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to make my Drop Down Lists in RBList3 show as functional Drop lists?

You can create albums on the iPad in order to organize photos but I believe that you must be running iOS 5 at least. Your tagline shows iOS 4.3.2. It's been quite a while since I was running iOS 5, but I'm pretty sure it was introduced in iOS 5.
If you are running iOS 5 or higher, launch the photos app and tap on Photos, then tap on the Edit button in the upper right. Select all of the photos that you want to place into an album by tapping on them. Then tap on Add To and choose Add to New Album. Name the new Album in the popup window and then tap Save.
If you are not running iOS 5 - you have to import the photos from the camer roll to your computer, creat the albums on the PC and then sync them back to the iPad via iTunes.

Show / Hide Elements - how to make hidden elements non-interactive

Hi,
Is there a way to make hidden obejcts (through 'Show / Hide') not only hidden but completely non-interactive? I.e. even if an image is hidden, it is still click-able, which will release its set commandos (such as 'Swap Image' or 'Set Text of Container').

Make hidden OU visible

Hey guys,
I have a weird problem with a hidden OU. I have to select this OU as target in a third part app (Enterprise Vault). The account which I use for that has the general rights to list and to read everything within the domain and even this special OU.
It is interesting, because I only can see the OU if I tick "Advanced features" in ADUC.
I guess there is a further trigger/attribute which is causing that. I want to make the OU visible without ticking "Advanced features" so that I can hopefully select it in Enterprise Vault.

Which 'OU' do you mean? Does it an OU that you created manually? As far as I know, if we use general way to create an OU, we should see it without ticking Advanced Features.
And like System, ForeignSecurityPrincipals are not OUs, they are containers, and we should tick Advanced features to see them.
In addition, if this is an OU that you manually created, how did you hide it, did you follow the below link:

How to make a tabstrip visible and invisible again?

I have a GUI with Fields, Texts, Checkboxes, Radio buttons, a Button and of
course a tabstrip with 7 tabs.
Before I want to show some data in the tabs of the tabstrip, I have to fill the fields, check a radio button and checkboxes. After filled all entries needed, I will start
the preparation of the data with clicking on the button.
Before the click on the button the tabstrip has to be invisible. After the preparation
of the data I will make the tabstrip with its tabs visible.
All this is in the same dynpro (e.g. 0100). I don't build it together with to dynpros.
I tried with LOOP AT SCREEN ... ENDLOOP, but the tabstrip does not appear.
The only attribute accessable is "activetab".
How to make that happen?

Suppose you have 3 screen:
- 1 main screen (100)
- 2 subscreen    (101, 102)
In the subscreen 101 you need to design your tabstrip (so you need to move your tabstrip from main screen), the subscreen 102 has to be empty.
In the PBO of screen 100:
PROCESS PBO.
MODULE SET_SUBSCREEN.
CALL SUBSCREEN SUBAREA INCLUDING V_REPID V_SCREEN.
In the module SET_SUBSCREEN, you insert the code you need to choose the right subscreen:
IF _SHOW = 'X'.
V_SCREEN = '0101'.
ELSE.
V_SCREEN = '0102'.
ENDIF.
The flag _SHOW is setted in PAI after pressing the button:
MODULE USER_COMMAND.
    CASE OK_CODE.
       WHEN 'SHOW'. _SHOW = 'X'.

How to make all columns visible in an interactive report by default

I am writing it code in WD_INIT as this process is based on value that I get on boolean value which tell decide visibility of Transperant container.

Hi Parry,
The dynamic programming way is follows:
you need to first get a reference to the root element 'ROOTUIELEMENTCONTAINER' from the view reference available within the wddomodifyview method. the variable returned is of type cl_w_uielement_container. you can use the method get_root_element( ) of the interface if_wd_view for this purpose.
next get a reference to the transparent container by using the method get_child of the class cl_wd_uielement_container( using the variable returned from the prevoius call) and cast it to a variable of the class cl_wd_transparent_container. to this method you need to pass the id of your transparent container.
Once you have the reference you can use the method set_visible( ) to make the container visible or invisible at runtime.
However you need to be careful about the placement of this code within the wddomodifyview method because it would get executed every time. Thus the best way is to store the reference to view in a component controller the first time and later on use this attribute anywhere within your component.

How to make sub folders in a share invisible to certain users?

Back in the 10.3 days simply setting the posix permissions so that certain users and groups had no access to a sub folder in a shared folder would make the folder invisible to those users and groups.
Flash forward to Snow Leopard, I'm trying to accomplish the same thing with ACLs, and I can't seem to do it, the folders are still visible with access denied badges. I read the ACL white paper that was on AFP548, and that suggested creating a deny full control ACE for groups that shouldn't have access, but that no longer seems to work the folders are still visible.
I've been fiddling with different ACL configurations, but I can't seem to get it to work.
I am running Mac OS X Server 10.6.4, and the clients are 10.6.4 as well.
Any help in figuring this out would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Apologies I do mean Others. What I normally do is set the POSIX Owner and Group to admin and Others to No Access. Both Permission models apply so you have to take that into account. Any created user is automatically made part of the built-in POSIX staff group (ID=20). That user is also part of Others. If you're trying to deny access for that user using ACLs only yet neglecting to change the POSIX Permission accordingly that user will still have access of some sort.
By setting the Others POSIX Permission to No Access at the Parent Folder level that user won't 'see' the Share. If you're trying to do this with a Nested Folder then that user will 'see' the folder but have no access. What they'll see is the red no entry sign folder icon.
Don't forget to propagate afterwards as well as removing or applying appropriate ACEs if your sharing structure involves nested folders. Server Admin's Interface (IMO) is actually OK with this although you could use the command line if you wish.
This is how it works for me and I rarely see any problems.
