    I noted charges on my credit card from APL*APPLE ITUNES STORE. I contacted my bank and then this morning contacted ITunes at 1-800-676-2775 regarding these charges.
    ITunes informed me that my card has been used to setup another account (not set up by myself) and then used to buy gift certificates. ITunes stated that they could not refund the charges but are going to cancel the gift certificates. They, informed me that I am going to have to go through my bank and file a dispute to get the charges reversed.
    So, Your Telling me they used your company (ITunes) to rip someone off and then your going to save your own butt and cancel the gift certificates that the perp bought with a stolen card. But, force me to go through a mess to get my money back instead of reversing the charges.
    That makes (ITunes) a thief as well. I don't do business with thiefs.

    I have the same thing happening on both my credit cards! I first noticed random charges on my bank statement, but, the funny thing is that on the same statement I was credited back for the charges so everything cancelled out. I still wanted to change my credit card to be safe and my card wouldn't work with iTunes anyway (I emailed Apple and they said my account was compromised). I also changed my Apple ID password.
    So I got my new credit card and now looking back at my statement for the month, the day that I added the new card onto iTunes was the same day I got more preauthorized charges. The amounts were exactly the same as on my previous credit card. I don't know what to do anymore. Is this a problem on Apple's end?

    Have you added or changed your credit card details on your iTunes account six times ? Each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge (i.e. $1) may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

    If not then have you checked your account's purchase history to see if anything shows there ? If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases

    I have charges on my credit card statement from Apl*Apple One Store that I have no idea what its for.  I play Draw Something and Words with Friends on my IPad.

    Your Purchase History in your iTunes Store account should show all purchases, if they were made through the iTunes Store. If what you posted is literally what it says on your card statement, that seems rather suspicious to me since I've never seen charges from the iTunes Store listed like that, but I can't say for certain. If you believe the charges are fraudulent, contact your credit card company.

  • Apple iTunes Store vanishing in iTunes 9.1.1 in Windows 7 (64bit)

    I have iTunes 9.1.1 installed and everything is fine except when I try to access "iTunes Store" I get "Accessing iTunes Store" (with the stripey progress bar) then it fleetingly (for a fraction of a second) displays thee Apple iTunes Store, but then the screen goes blank, ie the display goes blank.
    It doesn't matter which tab (home, Music, Films, etc) or option (eg Podcasts/Technology) I try the same thing happens.
    I have tried upgrading to iTunes 10.2.2 for Windows 7 64 bit but it keeps freezing on me so I reverted back to 9.1.1 which does everything I need (eg sync with AppleTV) except browse the iTunes Store.
    I ran the Diagnosics for network connection and got this..........

    The iTunes64.msi is the installer package. You manually downloaded the standalone installation. Did you try and manually install it, yet?
    Run the installation package itself.

    Try connecting to your Mac or PC and using iTunes to sync your iPhone. Disconnect your iPhone after syncing, make sure in Settings>iTunes&AppStore you have your Apple ID and password entered, and launch App Store and sign in. It should work now, but do not sign out from App Store. There seems to be a bug that prevents us from signing in again after signing out.

    Try streaming other content.
    If the hotel's network requires login via webpage then it won't actually be connected and you will need to contact the provider to gain access.
