Follow up to my posting above. The PH setting disappeared again last night after I got home. I brought it back today in my office after another series of steps 1,3,4,5,6 above. My theory (other than that something must be wrong with the iOS) is that the coming and going of the PH setting is triggered by the wifi that is it connecting too. For instance, a change in wifi might be the trigger. After fixing it in the office yesterday, it worked fine the rest of the day, through the night, until I finally got home then it disappeared again. Just a thought.

IPhone APN setting not being permanently saved

I have a new iPhone 3GS on O2 PayandGo. At least once every day my cellular data network stops working. When I check my Celluar Data Network I find my APN has changed from payandgo.o2.co.uk to idata.o2.co.uk. I then have to re-enter the correct APN and restart the iPhone.
This then works for another day or so before again switching back all on its own to the pay monthly setting.
Any ideas how to make it hold the edited APN setting permanently? (rather than reverting to the default pay monthly APN)

Setting the APN with the config utility does change the default setting so if I then reset the network settings it holds the payandgo name. However it still keeps loosing the connection and has to be over typed and the iPhone restarted in order to get a data connection.
I have noticed that the connection is lost either when I move to a different location and therefore a different o2 server or I am using free Wi-Fi such as the Cloud or BT Open Zone.
It seems quite a common problem as it has also been reported on the o2 forum by other users. However no one has fixed it and o2 do nothing more than replace SIMS.

IPad APN setting not being permanently saved

Have new iPad and the APN setting keeps changing back to default, any clues?

The only thing I have found to solve this is the following:
1. Close all apps.
2. Turn off the ipad (holding 3 seconds the power and sliding)
3. Turn on the ipad
4. Before opening any app go directly to Settings and write down your respective APN.
5. Close Settings
After this, APN should be saved. I have realized that it is saved until I cross an spot where I don't have cellular signal (for example an elevator), when that happens I have to repeat the operation.
Hope it works for you and hopefully Apple fixes this soon.

Session Property Set not available in Portal Administration Console

We have a Portal Application (WLP 10.0 MP1) that needs to have visitor entitlements applied to allow some customization based upon a Session Property Set. The property set has been defined in Workshop and the .ses file is now included in our Portal EAR file in the /META-INF/data directory. When the EAR is deployed on a local (winXP) domain the property set is then available in the portal admin console and can be used to build entitlements. When the EAR is deployed to our test server (Solaris 10) the property set does not become available in the portal admin console. Both servers are in development mode and already have a previous version of the EAR deployed in streaming mode.
Is there anything obvious that needs to be done to ensure that a property set is enabled when deploying a new EAR?

We are actually performing the portal EAR build using maven but are creating the same directory layout as is created by Workshop when a data sync project is used and an EAR exported, i.e. the contents of the data sync project ends up in the EAR /META-INF/data directory.
The mystery here is that the property set correctly deploys in one environment but not in another. I'd really like to know whether there are any particular tricks to the property set deployment and what the deployent process actually does. Could issues with the target environment prevent correct deployment of the property set?

'Never' auto lock setting not available.

My iPhone 3G doesn't have 'Never' listed as an option under the Autolock settings. It has 1,2,3,4, and 5 minutes listed, but Never is not there. I'm on software 3.0.1 and hardware model MB702LL. Could there be a setting in another menu that is disabling that option? I'd appreciate any ideas on how to fix this, thanks.

I just added an email account to my iphone through Microsoft Exchange. I couldn't figure out why on my auto lock I didn't have the "never" setting any longer. Only 1 thru 5 minutes. I searched on here and find out through your posts that it has something to do with the Exchange. I disabled it and sure enough the "never" setting came back. My question is this, Is there a way to have the email account through Microsoft Exchange on and keep the "never" setting in auto lock? Can I override it somehow so to speak? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Photostream setting not available

I am trying to get photostream working. I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1, with iCloud set up. I noticed new photos were not being sent to iPhoto on my Mac, so I checked to be sure photo stream was enabled in iCloud. However, I noticed there was no photostream setting at all on the iPhone (Settings > iCloud). There is also no setting for "Documents & Data"). Any ideas why either of these settings is not there? I cannot enable photostream on the iPhone without that setting present.

FYI... I learned why there is no photostream or Documents & Data setting on the iPhone. It is because my employer, who bought the iphone and pays for service, has disabled these functions because of privacy reasons.

I have noticed that I have 20 displayed assignments blocks, and only in my view I can see only 9 .
Does anybody knows how could be the problem?

Office 2013 and SharePoint 2013 server properties - The required term set is not available.

Hi,
After creating new document from ribbon with the new document function on any template the managed metadata based server properties cannot be selected and properties boxes are grayed out. Mouse over displays "The Required term set is not available".
Works fine when using it form resource (SharePoint) domain both with user domain and resource domain accounts.
There is a two-way trust btw domains.
SPNs are done for AppPools.
AppPool accounts have delegations and are set to impersonate with GPO.
SharePoint Web Application is on kerberos authentication.
There is no difference when sites are using user or resource domain AppPool accounts.
The WFE and SQL Server have computer delegations.
Server env: Windows Server 2008 R2 with all updates, SQL Server 2008 R2 with all updates, on-prem SharePoint Server 2013 with no CU.
User env: Windows 7 ENT, IE10 and Office 2013 with all updates.
There is no internet connection and internet connection is not possible. The internet connection is cheated with two DNS A record setting for
www.msftncsi.com and dns.msftncsi.com. Also registry changes "ActiveDnsProbeContent" ip- address for Win7 is done via GPO to private IP. This is done because otherwise check-in/check-out does not work.

Same problem here!. Giving the computer network access allows the control to be populated. Then I disabled and restarted and it seems to be ok....

I can tell you that with Sprint their coverage area isn't as good as Verizon or AT&T.
Are you sending these imessage while on wifi or cellular data? Also your husband would need to be in a good coverage area.
Usually when imessage is unavailable it will send it as a text. Does your husband receive your imessage as a text?

That is correct is doesn't. Standardized formatting of phone numbers in the iOS app is more important because it supports contact from a variety of locations (gmail, hotmail, etc.). iCloud doesn't (not directly).

Delete button not available for goods receipt when PO has GR-Based IV set

Hi ll,
the delete button for confirmations is greyed out when the PO has the GR-Based IV set, the return delivery button however is available.
There are several goods receipt on the PO some of which have linked invoices but the goods receipt I want to cancel is not linked to an invoice.
I've checked the backend config and it's the same for movement types 102 and 122. Also I can manually post a 102 in the backend.
For PO's without GR-Based IV both the delete and return delivery buttons are available.
Does anyone have any ideas? We are on SRM 4.0.

thanks for the response but I don't think this situation is related to backend settings as I can perform a 102 and a 122 against the same PO l;ine directly in R/3.
This appears to be an SRM "feature".
To claifry the situation
PO flagged as GR-Based IV
Purchase Order line has several goods receipts and several invoice receipts matched.
Tryning to cancel a confirmation in SRM for a goods receipt without a matched invoice receipt.
"Delete" button is not available but "Return Delivery" button is available.
In R/3 backend I can post a 102 (delete) or a 122 (return) without any issues.
Config settings are the same for 102 and 122 in the R/3 backend.
Any one any ideas?

The change between Firefox 3.6.* and Firefox 4 is how location bar search works. In Firefox 3.6 it uses Google "Browse by name" search. With the browse by name search, it performs a Google search and if there is a clear match it will take you to the site, otherwise it shows the Google search result. With Firefox 4 it just performs a Google search if you type something which is not recognised as a URL.
To get the Firefox 3.6 behaviour on Firefox 4 you need to change a hidden preference.

SLDAccess set to true, but not available

Hi all,
I get the following error when Running a Proxy to mail Scenario.
This happens in the Call adapter pipeline Step of the receiver mail adapter.
error message "com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.ConfigException: SLDAccess set to true, but not available"
I did the Following:
1. tried SLDCHECK -
works fine
2. XIAFUSER/PIAFUSER is not locked.
3. The SLD is reachable
4. XI business system has correct "Pipeline URL" parameter defined
What could have gone wrong.
Any help would be appreciated.
