APN settings for KDDI Japan iPhone 4S

Does anyone know what APN settings iPhone 4S from KDDI in Japan uses? They seem to have 2 different data plans, Simple plan Z and Plan F, but the iOS version is locked and these details are not shown directly to enduser as in unlocked models.

You can use 1 unified Apple ID for iTunes so you don't have to repurchase apps. That part is fine.
For iCLoud/iMessage/Facetime you should each have a unique ID so the 2 phones will be separate and you won't accidentally erase each other's content and overwrite settings, nor will you get the others messaages by mistake.

APN settings for 3G empty frequently

After having my iPad 3G switched on for a few days it frequently forgets the APN settings for Mobile Data and won't keep any input thereafter until restarted. Then it accepts the input and remembers it for a day or so until the "amnesia" reappears.
Any solution or hint out there?

What are the APN settings for Q-10 BB?

AT&T controls their settings. You'd have to ask them. From what I recall, they actually set them automatically to the device via the SIM, and they are not user adjustable. But I could be wrong in my recollection...but, again, only they (ATT) can say for sure since that is 100% in their control. Is there a reason you are reluctant to contact them for formal support on this question?

My brother used his Verizon Wireless SIM to activate my factory unlocked iphone 5s. Now, I can't access the cellular data network option to change APN settings for my new carrier. Already tried configuration utility and factory resets.

So as the title says, after I got my iPhone 5s from apple, factory unlocked, my brother used his sim card in it for a moment to allow it to be registered and usable on WIFI until I made it to Japan. Now that I have a data SIM card, I have to input specific APN settings, which are located in settings>cellular>cellular data network, however, cellular data network is not available as an option. I have reset the phone multiple times with and without backups and with and without the new sim in the phone. I have also used the configuration utility to try to put the APN settings in the phone. I contacted Apple and they didn't really have an answer as to what i should do. My brother checked his Verizon account and my phone does not show up as one of his devices, so right now I'm stuck with and incredibly expensive iPod. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to remedy this? I am unable to contact Verizon via telephone myself as I have no phone service. Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

You only have to clone your mac when using certain cable modem. You don't clone your mac when using dsl.

i have an iphone 4 and can not get the cellular data network to work unless connected to wifi and i am on the straight talk unlimited monthly plan.also can not send or recieve picture messages.what are the settings for the apn for straight talk for cellular data network?i have talked to several customer serv reps and tech support and supervisors working with straight talk ,but they all tell me sumthing difrent and none of them help.so they transfer me and then say they can only remain on a call a certain amount of time.Help?

APN Settings For 7-11 SpeakOut Data Services

I have a factory-unlocked iPhone 4G. I use a prepay service in Canada with unlimited Internet usage. The CSP is 7-11 SpeakOut, a MVNO that operates on the Rogers network. Voice and data services work fine.
I am currently in USA. I have subscribed top a pre-pay service with data. I've replaced Canadian SIM with American SIM. American CSP is also 7-11 SpeakOut, however, in USA, SpeakOut works on the AT&T network. Voice service is working fine. Data is not. When attempting to connect to Internet, error messages advise that data services have not been activated (CSP does not offer data service) or that server cannot be reached. I have confirmed with SpeakOut USA that data service is active on my prepay service. The service bar shows the presence of 3G or (occasionally E for Edge service). iPhone shows SpeakOut as the network but it shows AT&T 9.0 as the carrier. SpeakOut customer service provided the following APN settings:
APN: wap.cingular
User Name: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1
Proxy Server: left blank
Port: left blank
These settings do not result in any data connection. I get the same error messages as before.
One point of clarification, a company called Ztar is actually the CSP. 7-11 is actually a sales distribution channel for Ztar's services in Canada and USA.
I suspect that the APN settings that I was given are incorrect and need to be changed. But to what???

I have an iPhone 4G so I'm not sure whether your iphone is set up the same way. I did not change the settings on the iPhone. There is an app on the Apple website that does this. It is called the iPhone Configuration Utility. Simply download the file, follow the utility installation process and then activate the utility. Q10 APN settings for 2degrees in New Zealand

Hello I've just purchased a new Q10 and I've been able to get everything working fine on WiFi, however I've not been able to get the data to work when using my 2degrees (GSM.EDGE/3G-UMTS) carrier in New Zealand. I can make and recieve calls and txt but the data won't work for browsing or Activesync emails. My SIM card has a 1 GB data plan and used to work fine on my Windows 8 phone and previous Andriod handsets. I 've alos tried the usual APN settings = "internet" Any help would be appreciated.

Hi. Good question and to be honest I don't know the answer as I'm not a user of BBM. The only other suggestion I can make is to update to a later firmware leak. I'm currently running 10.2.1.176 on a Z10 and Q5 and Q10 which seems to work fine however I can't say I use BBM. I do know that when using a Vodafone NZ sim (prepay and on-account) that BBM does work. This may not help your 2degrees issue though.
Try a later version of firmware first and see how that goes. Make sure you do a full backup to a PC/laptop in the first instance.

Hi I an unlocked Huawei E586 fitted with an EE pay-as-you-go 30 day account 4G SIM with money loaded on it and activated. It gives me 72Mbps but I cannot access the internet no matter what.Now EE technical support realise I need to alter the APN settings. Also I need my E586 to provide internet access via this EE SIM to my notebook and laptop which run Windows 8 and Windows 7 respectively. How do I do all of this please? N.B. I have an unlocked UK iPhone5 on T-Mobile, and can't for the life of me find the APN settings.
There is no 'Settings --> General --> Mobile Data scroll down a little -- Mobile data network' option
& as someone on another thread suggested, there is no option to change settings under the Cellular button either!

Many APN settings are pre-installed with the Settings > access point options and if known you'll see your carrier access point there. If it is not tap it to activate. If the APN settings are not available in a preset you can enter the manually there as well by tapping the + icon at the bottom of the screen. What settings you need would usually be found on your carrier website or through their support.

I've read in numerous places that Safari should play .mp4 files fine and many of the iPhone presets output .mp4 files. In general, I've read, including at Apple's website, to enode using H.264 MPEG4 part 10, AAC audio, etc. I have tried creating custom presets and different subsettings, such as bitrate, frames, etc.
I cannot get anything to work correctly when trying to view the video using Safari on iPhone or iPad.
Anyone else know of any specific settings that will work?

Hello, I wonder if anyone has found the best way of doing this, I couldn't find any recommendations on the apple site.
I'm editing HDV PAL, should I resize in FCP before export or let compressor do all the resizing?
Should I deinterlace?
Square pixels?
I tried exporting a 16:9 vid at 640x360 and it automatically cropped it when played on an iphone until I double-tapped the screen. Is there anyway to avoid this

Using the iphone export settings in compressor, I can't get a minute of footage to be less than 8 megs. The QVGA setting is bad quality, the VGA setting is a large file, even after dropping the bitrate down. If i export the same file as an H.264 through compressor the file size is tiny. What is the iphone preset adding that makes it so massive?
