APO-DP - Realignment termination

We are on APO 5.0. In DP realignment has been terminating consistently with message "No Live Cache Anchor Found". I have confirmed that the CVC exists, all the consistency checks on planning area and planning object structure have passed.
Has anybody come across similar situation?

Functionality of APO DP realignment

Hey I have a requirement in BW to built a functionality same like APO DP realignment. Basically the functional guys have given the overview of what is happening and what is the result (basically the data for a characterstic gets changed for a set of CVC). So Could any of you help me how to proceed. Any thought would be great help.

Just to understand your question do you wish to realign your historical data so that in effect the reporting reflects all the data as it would have been if the changes occurred at date x. If so then this is relatively simple in theory.
Basically you will need to determine what you are realigning e.g. Sales Credit, Sales Channel, Territory, these would be the common ones. My experience extends to re-aligning COPA data. But the realignment principal should be the same no matter what you wish to align.
So look at your staging layer before your reporting cube, and then you will need to load that staging layer back into itself using a start routine and then delta the changes to the Reporting Layer.
That would be a very general way to realign data.

While loading data to ODS from the sources system there is new error request appearing in the ODS with following description:
Request without Monitor Log: APO Request or Terminated Request Generation
Unable to see the error details as this request is not appearing in the monitor, unable to delete the request from the ODS and the error message is below.
Deletion of request REQU_435CYSN3FS0USQJXVKQOLAZ65 from data target ZRORDITM failed RSMPC 060

Any thoughts on above issue are helpful.

My thoughts on this...
This problem might be caused by a program error.
DataStore objects allow you to check or generate master data ID (SID) values during the activation. If you choose to do this, the parallel processes may terminate.
<b>The following prerequisites must apply:-</b>
You activate the DataStore object data in parallel (see transaction RSODSO_SETTINGS).
During the activation, SID values are checked or generated (option "Generation of SID Values" is set).
The generated programs of the InfoObjects of the DataStore objects are not current at the start of the activation (in particular, after metadata changes).

Managing Request without Monitor Log: APO Request or Terminated Request Gen

Hello Everyone,
Need some help of managing a system created DTP named Request without Monitor Log: APO Request or Terminated Request Generation. This is like a staging DTP provided by SAP to support data loads to DSO or Cube and, it's good if the process goes smoothly.
However when we encountered unnecessary error such as tables space or memory problem, this particular job will get stuck and there's no way to move forward or backwards from this point. There were some answers to delete the request from RSICCONT, but I don't see the direct relations here, or maybe I'm wrong.
My only question - Have anyone any idea on how to work around this.
The last thing I've in hand is to delete the whole thing (requests) and re-do from start (extraction). Not a pleasant thing as this DSO feeds to 2 Cube & 1 DSO and then to another Cube.

sad to knw you had to delete the whole data and reload. I faced the same issue today and here is what i did,
when you go to the reconstruction tab, you will find 2 ticks present
1st one that tells if request is available in data target and
2nd which gives the transfer structure status.
Now, if the first check is crossed it could mean 2 things....data no longer exists in data target or data was not updated to data target these are 2 different things.
So, in your case it wud have sed data was not updated to the target.
Solution, just reconstruct that request and then in the request tab mark it red and delete again since you dont need it.... then the activation through process chain will not fail.

I deleted the request from table: RSICCONT in debugging mode. The request was on green.
Now I have problems on activating the next requests in automatically. Manually it is working.
Request REQU_6DFXRA2VWJL3KYU44JPCWKXL2 no longer exists in DSO SVO_PPAB; system is inconsistent
Activation of M records from DataStore object SVO_PPAB terminated

Problem in deleting request from ODS

Hi,
I did an init load from newly created update rule for my existing ODS. I cancelled the INIT load as it was taking a long time and tried to delete the request from ODS, but when i deleted the request it is not getting deleted. Under request/DTP it is showing 'Request without Monitor Log: APO Request or Terminated Request Generation'. Can you please tell me how to delete this request.

How to rollback data from cube?

Hi Experts,
I have never worked with BPS and I have got one issue with BW support to look upon.
My questions are :
1) I ran some planning functions, there was some problem. Now how to rollback the data which would have got posted.
2) The planning cube has got request which says " Request without Monitor Log: APO Request or Terminated Request Generation" but this is yellow and transferred and added records are zero.
Alos I ran planning functions yesterday but update request in this yellow request is of 8th Jan.
So in which request data is bieng posted into cube? Also planning functions were succesfully ran since it showed me n noumbers of records changed.

If they are executed a spart of Planning Sequence then you wouldn't have to save anything, it will be automatically saved if there are no errors in any of the planning functions in the sequence.The buffer is always current with all the changes occured, so you wouldn't have to worry about explicit save or refresh unless these aren't part of planning sequence.Here are some links that will provide you with helpful insight on this topic:

Request without Monitor Log:

HI Frds,
When i am deleteing a req. from ODS, i am not able delete the Req. I Req. status is in Red and tech. status also in Red. Its showing DTP/Infopackage as "Request without Monitor Log: APO Request or Terminated Request Generation" and not able to see the Moniter(RSMO).
Kindly can one give me some solution to delete these type req. ?

1138410-->execute the report RSSM_ZOMBIE_REQUEST_DELETE before checking if you do not have entries in the table RSSELDONE or the table RSMONMESS but which may be displayed in the administration of a

Hi Virender,
This error can be experienced due to many reasons. based on my experience below reasons can cause this issue.
1) If you are using allocation check if allocation is correctly set.
2) In case you are using custom enhancements / user exits (in SD / GATP / CIF) check if any of them, causing this issue.
In my case correction of allocation setup could resolve this issue, so check what is the reason in your case.

APO Demand Planning realignment and BI

Hi experts,
I need to handle realignment process done in APO Demand Planning area in order to get data consistency in BW.
All I can tell you is that my idea was to get data from datasources created on Planning areas but I don't know how that realignment process impacts on information taken to BI.
As Demand Planning information changes from week to week(as guys in APO side do their forecast) we need to take snapshots to BI. My concern is how to manage realignment in this scenario. should we take a different approach to upload data to BI?.

APO REALIGN

Hello,
We have a scenario where there is an external system from which the material numbers
and location numbers are fed into APO DP. APO DP does forecasting and sends forecast
to a cross referencing table. This table is connected to SAP R/3 and BW.
APO DP and R/3 have different material numbers and location ids.
We would like to retire the legacy system and connect APO DP and R/3.
How to realign the material number and location so that APO DP and R/3 have same numbers?

Hi
In the CVC, you should have product number or material number. During the realignment you can go to create/Change table. In this you can select only those characteristic which you want realign from CVC. You can select the material or product number in it and create table for CVC.
Once you create table go to header Utilities create file
This will create excel file which you save on your machine. You can maintain all your realignment entries in same xls file and again import this file with same path mentioned above.
This will save you lot of time. Now you can do the realignment. I will suggest to take backup of all the data than do the realignment only for couple of products and check.,

Seems like access issue to the user for /usr/sap/trans/log directory.
please grant 777 rights to this folder. also, before continuing try to restart system as may be ur SLOG file is holded by any process.

Error in Data transfer ECC to APO

Hello Guys,
I'm getting an error in my system when I try to transfer data from ECC to APO system. When I CIF (after generating IM, when I activate it) older data (master data created previously in system), I'm getting a short dump with mesage class 'XC', It says :

I'm not much aware on LC technology, I have deactivated & activate LC once in LCA10. Also, checked consitency in OM17, it shown no inconsistency. Plus, when checked in OM13, all checks are showing green.
Can you please suggest what needs to be done?
