APO Sequencing - preventing Takt Scheduling from moving firmed orders?

In the Sequencing transaction (/SAPAPO/SEQ1), selecting the takt scheduling pushbutton will move all planned orders up to the earliest available capacity.  I would like to override the standard system logic, and prevent the system from moving any FIRMED orders forward.  Has anybody implemented this sort of restriction?

Hi ,
Please refer to oss note 627377 Consulting note: Model Mix planning and Sequencing.
" MMP and Sequencing do not consider in a special way the input fixed and ATP checked orders. No checks are performed whether an order in input fixed or ATP-checked. MMP and sequencing consider such orders as usual orders in the planning processes."
Model mix planning always uses a strategy with forward infinite scheduling, no matter how you define your resources.

This sounds like you are using Photoshop Elements, and the Photoshop Elements forum would be best at answering that.

  • Prevent lower text from moving when accordion panels open

I tried out the Accordion Panel from Project Seven which is
really nice and works well. My only issue right now is that I would
like to prevent the rest of the text outside and below this widget
within the same column from moving. When any panel opens it causes
the contents of the entire column to shift down thus causing the
page to shift down as well.
I have tried using a new div for the content below the panels
and also a new table below but can't seem to figure out how to keep
the content from shifting. Curently I have a table cell nested and
have tried with CSS to keep it from moving but that is not working
    either.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.
Here is the code for the column in question:

no takers on this one? Does anyone know how I could fix this
with divs? Is it possible to put this accordion into a separate div
and create another below it that would not move? Like on the new
apple site...They have some really awesome accordion style navs on
the sides that do not throw the rest of the page off when they open
    or close.
    Thanks.

  • Prevent the scheduler from submitting jobs after recovering from a crash

    Hi,
I have a situation where I have set up secific jobs to run at 11:00 pm every night. These jobs should only run at this time and not during the day. These jobs typically run for about an hour. If my DBMS server is down at 11:00 pm, and when the server is subsequently brought back up the next day, i see that these jobs are submitted by the scheduler. How can I prevent this?
    Thanks,
    SV

    Hi,
The documented way of doing this is to set the schedule_limit attribute of the job. This sets a max interval after a scheduled job will not be run (just rescheduled).
However, you may run into a bug (#6331177) which prevents schedule_limit from taking effect after database downtime for a recurring job. As a possible workaround a job can query its own REQ_START_DATE and ACTUAL_START_DATE from the all_scheduler_running_jobs view and immediately exit if the difference exceeds some time limit (as it would in the case of database downtime).
    Hope this helps,
    Ravi.

  • Is it possible to prevent the history from moving entries up to the top of the list when a site is revisited, and why does it only do this sometimes?

    * Sometimes the history appears to compile previous visits to a site into only the entry for the most recent visit, but other times it does not. In other words, sometimes when a site is re-visited, the history will move a previous visit to that site out of the existing chronological sequence and put it at the top. What makes the difference in whether it does this or not, and is there any way to prevent the consolidating of information this way? I am using using Firefox v.27, Windows 7.
I would like things to be in true chronological order for the possibility of accurately tracking previous activity, and for that purpose do not mind having the duplicate entries. Possible successful solutions might be in areas 1-3 below, and I would appreciate any suggestions.
    1. Are there any preferences in 'about:config' that apply to this? I could not find any.
    2. Are there other ways of getting this type of record, e.g. some other computer log, program, or add-on?
    3. What are some of the most accurate records of one's own internet browsing activity that one can make or obtain, with or without the browser's history function, if anyone knows?
    Thanks.

Firefox normally only shows the most recent visit to a specific URL, so you would have to do extra effort to make older visits visible (place:sort=4&type=1).

  • How do I prevent my iPhone from moving my music to the cloud?

This is so frustrating! Every time I try to listen to my music on my iPhone it's all greed out with the cloud icon next to it. This is absolutely the worst music software I've ever used. The interface immediately vanishes replaced by a screen full of tiny 1/10th of a postage stamp sized pictures of my albums, thereby losing the album I was trying to download from a place I never told the software to put my music in the first place. At first I tried emailing support. Got no help at all. Then I tried canceling my subscription to the cloud thinking "ha! Try to steal my music now! Stupid cloud!" then of course I had no access to my music from my phone what so ever. Touché cloud! You win this round! So I BEGRUDGINGLY renew my subscription to this awful service that is holding my
music HOSTAGE! And of course all the music gets moved off to the cloud again. I want my music to STAY on
my phone!!! DUH!! How simple is that right?? Obviously it's too simple as when I am at work (no wi-fi) I can't listen to music on my phone. Unless, of course I want to use up all my monthy data allotment downloading music that by all logic should STILL BE ON MY PHONE. This is so ridiculous I can't believe I'm actually having to post in a discussion forum for a problem that SEEMS INTENTIONAL on apple's part. PLEASE tell me there is a simple solution or I'm done. I'll go get a galaxy or android as I have been fighting this problem for over a ******* year now.

This is what page 23 of the manula says:
Accept the suggestion: Type a space, punctuation mark, or return character.
Reject a suggestion: Tap the “x” next to the suggestion.
Each time you reject a suggestion for the same word, iPhone becomes more likely to accept
    the word.

  • How do you prevent a clip from moving to the front when clicking on it?

I really don't understand why, but for some reason whenever you click on a clip in Audition CS6's mutitrack editor, it automatically moves in front of all other clips on it's track. This is extremely annoying behavior if you're working on a track with more than two overlapping clips, and there doesn't seem to be any way to undo the move after it happens. Does anyone know of a way to disable this behavior? I've looked all over the place, but haven't been able to find one.

Fair enough, but I still say having a track be brought to the top by selecting it makes no sense. It creates the potential for you to screw up the arangement of a track without realizing it, and I think the fact that Audition doesn't even allow the action to be reversed by the undo button should be considered a bug. I've never used another audio editor that behaved this way, including earlier versions of Audition. Why not just have a send to front button in the right click menu for when you actually do want to send the track to the front? Also, as opposed to only having a single "send to back" button in the right click menu, there should really be submenu that says "send behind" and then has a list of tracks you can send the current track behind if you hover over it.

  • Is there a way to prevent a user from using the graph cursor legend to delete a cursor?

I would like to have 2 cursors on a graph that can't be deleted by the user.

    Hi Dennis,
I'm having this problem as well, and found your post. Are you referring to the Enabled State of the entire graph?  If so, this prevents the user from moving the cursor at all while the VI is running, which, of course, defeats the purpose of having a cursor at all.  Ideally, I would like to show the cursor palette and disable it's run-time shortcut menu.  This doesn't appear to be possible.   One workaround would be to hide the palle and instead include some indicators that show the cursors' values.  I'd prefer to show the palette to keep the program simpler.
    Any other solutions?
    Thanks,

  • How do I prevent itunes from moving my music from its original place ie folders in an external drive when I play music from itunes. I have all my music in artist folders and separated by MPG3/MPG4 and FLAC folder within the artist folder.

How do I prevent itunes from moving my music from its original place ie folders in an external drive when I play music from itunes. I have all my music in artist folders and separated by MPG3/MPG4 and FLAC folders within the artist folder and itunes moves the track/s whenever i try and load selected music to my ipod/iphone. I've tried to find some sort of preference to prevent this, but no joy? What am I missing?

Try opening iTunes preferences. Then click on advanced tab. Then uncheck "Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library." By default, iTunes copies music to its own media folder when you use iTunes to play the music.

  • Moving a template or input schedule from one environment to another in MS

    Hi team,
Can anyone let me know how does any template or input schedule is moved from one environment to another in MS version?
Please give me steps.. Appreciate your great help....
    Thanks,
    Chandrakanth.K

    Hi Chandrakanth,
if you want only the template the easiest is just copy the xlt file from the same folder from one server to the other.
If you want to copy all the environment (even data) you can use backup and restore from the server manager (appset\server backup save the zip file on the destination environment and restore it).
From the BPC MS 7.5 SP06 and 10.0 SP01 even the SAP Enhanced Change and Transport System (CTS+) is enabled, for this please see http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/25924

  • Delivery Schedule within the Firm Zone of a SA not firming

    Hello,
We have delivery schedules within firm zone (defined in the Additional Data in item detail) of a SA but they are not firmed by MRP run.
Here is the material master setting and other relevant information:
MRP Type = PD (firming type = blank)
Planning Time Fence = 0 (in MRP1 view)
Not check the flag in OMIN to firm only the transmitted schedule line
Maintained Firm/Trade-off zone (as mentioned above) and Binding on MRP = '1' in an item of a SA
The delivery schedule supposedly be firmed based on the firm zone but is keep pushed out instead after MRP run.
I appreciate very much if you can tell what's causing the problem and how to remedy it.
    Kind Regards,
    Eddie

    Eddie,
Your batch job is OK however until the delivery schedule with new schedule line proposals has been transmitted they can be changed by MRP as they are not yet firm.
From my experience the OMIN settings affect the MRP type firming settings (P1, P2, ...) not the SA related firm settings. Here the binding on MRP key is determining what MRP can change or can not change.
See here the extract out of the help function on the OMIN setting.
Firm Only Schedule Lines Transmitted to Vendor by Purchasing
If you set this indicator, the system only firms the schedule lines which have been transmitted to the vendor by the purchasing department.
    Use
This function is used if you use a planning time fence in the planning run. If you use firming type 1 ("Automatic firming and order proposals are displaced"), the system automatically firms existing schedule lines when they move into the planning time fence.
Use this indicator if you only want the system to firm schedule lines that have already been checked and passed on to the vendor per message transfer. If, for example, the quantity of a schedule line was changed but the changed quantity has not yet been passed on to the vendor, then the old quantity that has already been passed on to the vendor is firmed as soon as this schedule line moves into the planning time fence.

  • Preventing input form from showing existing record

    Hello,
I'm creating a series of web pages to collect info from a user. On the first page, create.jsp, I have a CommandLink bound to the Create binding action. It forwards to the input form on its own page, form.jsp. The defaults (sequence number, creation date) from the model layer appear nicely in the form. If the user follows the page flow, the record is committed and everything is swell.
The problem is that users can enter "form.jsp" directly into their location bar in their web browser, and the input page will display the first record in the table. I cannot use an authorization scheme to prevent access because any general user of the web should be able to input their info. (In other words, you can't be logged-in before creating your login.)
How can I disable this? Or, is there a hook in the processing lifecycle that I can use to determine if a user has created a new row before displaying the input form?
I'm using JDev 10.1.3 production, ADF Faces, ADF BC.
    Thanks,
    -Anthony

I figured this out myself, actually this was quite simple.- just set the 'immediate' property on the component (button) to 'true'.

  • Foxfire is preventing a page from reloading even after I allow it. How do I stop that?

I'm enrolled in an online business training program called Power Sellers College. In that site, there is a private messaging system that I may use to correspond with my instructor, other instructors, other students etc. This Private Messaging System refreshes itself automatically every 60 seconds. A bar from Foxfire appears that states "Foxfire prevented this page from automatically reloading" and further down the bar there is an "Allow" button and then an "x" in the top right corner. Even though I push the "Allow" button and the bar disappears, it immediately reappears stating the same thing. I'm not sure if I'm getting my messages or not because I have corresponded with my instructor this way before and I don't recall ever seeing that pop up message from Foxfire before until lately. I only ask this because this is the second time he has missed our scheduled phone appointment. The first time he didn't call me he said he had sent messaged to all his students cancelling all his appointments but I did not get one and I figured he had just missed me. Now this is the second time I've received no message from him or any other message from him or any other instructors and I'm wondering if it's because of Foxfire preventing anything from getting through. My question is : How do I stop Foxfire from preventing that page of refreshing itself even after I allow to do so?

Did you disable that setting in Tools or Firefox > Options?
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
That setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

  • Preventing setup/cleanup from being displayed during exec.

I am trying to prevent the setup/cleanup sections of my sequence from being displayed during execution.  (i.e. I do not want the users to see anything other than the main sequence).  This way they can see the progress being made through the sequence and the cleanup sequence will not block the view of the main sequence(and the values from individual tests).
If anyone has a clue how to do this please let me know.
(Note: I still want the startup/cleanup to run, just invisibly)
    Thanks

This tracing option is set in the Station Options. In Sequence Editor, goto:
Configure >> Station Options, Tab Execution: Remove the checkmark from "Allow Tracing into Setup/Cleanup".
