Apologies I can't be here much fol

Hi folks,
I just wanted to apologise a bit that I haven't been able to spend much time here recently. I've recently got a temp job (I've just moved back to the UK for a few months, for those who know a little of my complex history moving back and forwards between Brazil) and am very tired in the evenings hence don't have much energy or time to spend here on the forum. Also my weekends have got a lot busier.
I feel kinda sad because I've really enjoyed helping here, and I will still try to spend the little time I do have helping out, when I can.
Anyway, there are a lot of great and knowledgeable people posting here so I don't think anyone's suffering so much. But I did just want to explain why I wasn't able to post as much.
And if anyone knows of any great jobs for an English guy in either Sao Paulo, Brazil, or San Diego (CA) then please let me know

Haha, well due to circumstances mostly (rather than just straight unemployment) I wasn't working, so had lots of time on my hands. Plus I've been on the various Creative forums for 2-3 years now, so have a lot of experience that I was hoping would be useful. So it's not so much the wife being tolerant, more that she's simply not around

I have a new powerbook and want to give my girlfriend my old G4 power book, she has a new iphone 5s, and wants to create a new itunes/apple id. When i try to de authorize the G4 and sign in with her new apple ID it says bad password, how can i release the G4 from my cluster of authorized apples and make her the owner so she can download music and more importantly sync her music with her phone, she only has 3 songs on her iphone, and loaded all her CD's into the g4 but cant sync, im no dummy and this shouldnt be hard, but its driving me crazy!!!!!!

No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that.

on an iphone5, how can i determine how much data an app is using and or which apps are the biggest data users? do all apps always use wifi when a wifi is connected or do some apps still use cellular data even if wifi is connected?

Try Settings > General > Usage > Storage > check here.
To test if app is using cellular data instead of Wi-Fi, switch Airplane mode: ON and switch Wi-Fi: ON manually.

set java_opts=%java_opts% -Xmx%memory%...then memory usage starts high and stays there. I feel like I don't really know how close I'm getting to exhausting my cluster's memory as I insert objects.

There is a possibility that the square charger plug that goes into the wall plug has burnt out. That happened to me on a recent trip. It went out with a "pop" and after that, it was dead and would not charge anything. These chargers are sold in several electronic stores.
Now I always travel with a spare square cube wall charger. They are very cheap on eBay ( a couple of dollars or so). In an electronics store they might cost as much as $20.
I would certainly try this first.

If your device is discoverable, the other BT device would try (I am not sure if that would be successful). If it was, it would appear in your system preferences>Bluetooth.

If you set up Home Sharing and are on the same network you can share your library. However you must be using the same itunes account. Another option (if you are trying to download to a device) would be to sync over Wi-Fi. I hhope this helps a bit. If you let me know what you are trying to accomplish I may be able to give a better answer

My wife has a macbook with an itunes account; I have a macbook with a different itunes account. Can I put her music on my account?

I'm sorry if this has been gone over multiple times, but I couldn't find what I was looking for. Here's my issue. I just finished uploading the 3,000 songs that Match couldn't find. I know that you can associate multiple computers with iTunes match. This seems like the best way to finally completely merge my wife's i-Everything with mine. Can I switch her library to my account, turn on iTunes Match on her computer through my account, and upload/match any files that I don't have without losing her original stuff? Does that question make sense?
In other words, if I just log her into my account will all of her stuff disappear, or will it all magically become one?

Try loging out of and back into your AppleId: (Settings app > iTunes&App Stores > [tap on your account] > Sign out. Then sign back in.

Now I can't remove her e-mail address from my computer. When I open Facebook her address shows in the user button. I do not have a Facebook account. It was suggested to me that I try clearing temporary files from Safari but I can't find anything that tells me how to do this. Are temporary files the same as the cache? It also was suggested that I try clearing Safari cache. How do I do that?

Check Safari/Preferences/Passwords to see if the Facebook account is there. If so, select it and remove it. If you are still having problems, Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. If that doesn't work, Safari/Reset Safari.

Yes, that's correct, it won't affect your account or your devices in any way.
Use the delete account button in the iCloud settings.
Then enter her iCloud details in the new screen that appears and log in. She should then be returned to the screen above but with her Apple ID at the top, enable the services she wishes to use and then tap the storage & backup option and ensure that iCloud backup is turned on.

I need to reprogram the delete and enter key to the left side of a external keyboard for the ipad mini. I don't need the caps/lock or ctrl key. Due to a brain injury my daughter can only use her left hand to type. She also uses a text to speech app to verbalize all of her needs since her speech isn't intelligible any longer either. And her vision was significantly affected also, so the keyboard has to be mounted about 6 inches from her face. So to reach across the keyboard with her left hand to the right side delete and enter button is physically difficult and causes typing errors, which cause people to not understand what shes trying to say.
The best keyboard so far is the Zagg folio mini. I just had to make stickers to enlarge the letters on the key buttons.
Does anyone know how I can reprogram these two keys? Or where I can buy a wireless mini keyboard for Ipad made for lefthanders with these two functions on the left side. I have searched for days and days. It's sooooo important to me that she be able to contribute her voice again. Imagine if you got in a car accident and couldn't speak clearly any longer, but understood everything still. Thanks for any help and suggestions you all take the time to share with me. I really appreciate the kindness of strangers to help me help my daughter.
