App and back up/restore help
Hi I'm hoping someone can help me with a relatively minor issue I have.
My phone was sent away and when I got it back I didn't restore it from my backup straight away because I thought it was going to have to be sent away again, anyway it didn't and in the meantime I've started playing minecraft on my phone with my kids. We've built quite a good little world for us and now I don't want to restore my phone because I'll lose it all, but I really need my contacts and other info back.
How can I back up minecraft which will save the game data and then restore my iphone and then get minecraft back with the world we've all created together?
If it was just me I wouldn't mind but my 2 boys love playing on this particular world so I don't want to lose it . Thank you, Kym

I understand that you need to restore your iPhone from a backup but do not want to lose your game data within Minecraft. In this situation, it may be worth Contacting the app developer to see if your game data is saved solely on your iPhone or within an account with them. Please use the instructions in the Contact the app developer section of the attached article for information on completing this process.

Can any one help. How do i get my google app to open on my iphone? It just flashes up but does not open. I have deleted this app, and backed and restored and downloaded again but has not made any difference. Thanks.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then restart your iPad.
See if that makes a difference. -

was using my daughters itunes account and now have my own. If I "erase and sync" will I lose my data from my purchased games? I have transferred apps and backed up to my computer.
One computer iTunes can support multiple Apple IDs. One iPod can also support multiple IDs. Don't do an "erase and sync." Simply add your Apple ID to the computer's iTunes and to the iPod. The only nuisance is app updating, especially if you do the updates from the computer, rather than from the iPod.

Keeping state when switching to and back from a help page

Is there anyway to keep entered data in input fields when switching to and back from a help-page?
I would like to let the user enter a lot of data (in a datatable), realize that he needs some help, click the help link, go to the link page without having all the data validated (immediate=true), and then return to the page with all the data still there.

i backed my whole data up on to itunes from my iphone 4 yesterday because i was taking my phone for realir to an apple store but when i got there...they gave me a new iphone so when i came back i tried restoring my back to my iphone it goes through as if everytin is gna be back on to my iphone but afta 15minz of waiting for it.... wen i go on to my phone to check if i have got evryting back but i realise i just have my contacts back but nothing else so i spent whole of the day trying to figure out how can i get it back but havnt found a solution because on the itunes it says this iphone was backed up yesterday at 11:52 wich the day is right and the time is right so why cant i get my appz,photoz and games back for which i downloaded from app store???? can anyone help plzzzz??????You can restore from iCloud

Lags between app and back button
I just experienced this problem lately. When I pressed the app button to go into the app pages, it takes about 3 seconds for the 1st app page to appear. Following this, when I want to return to the home screen, I press the back button, and the icons in the home screen also takes 3 seconds to appear.
I've checked my phone memory, RAM, uptime, all are fine. I don't overflow my phone with apps, and I don't play games.
May I know why is this happening? It has never happened before. Please help. Thank you.It'll be wise to reinstall the latest update with PCC and stay away from antivirus or taskillers

i recently got a new computer meaning i had to replace my itunes. i then tried to install an undate on my ipad, it would then not allow me to run my ipad on the new itunes until i restored the entire thing. like an idiot i didnt get to back up anything before this and now my ipad is set back to factory which is not what i wanted!!! i didnt want to update or lose my paid apps and music. My icloud was updating every week since i got the ipad, so i am wondering is there any chance i can reset my ipad back to the way it was BEFORE this restore happened?

I am stumped as my iPad2 is frequently shutting down while I am using it. I took it to the Apple Store where they cleared it and I reloaded the Apps, but this didn't help. It is less than a year old.
Another fellow Apple users suggested the following steps:
1. Try a reset (probably unnecessary for you, but try it anyway)
2. Clean docking port with clean tooth brush and alcohol (and not too much alcohol)
3. Try another wall socket (preferably one that's not shared with other devices)
4. Try another cable (make sure it's an original Apple cable)
5. Try another charger (make sure it's an original Apple charger)
6. Make sure you're not using a USB hub (may not have enough of power) -
Question about Mail app and domain name please help

I wasn't sure where to post this question so figured this would be the best area. I have a website which uses bluehost as it's web hoster. My email is set up through them, such as [email protected]
In my Mail app, I have the POP thing set up so when ever someone emails me it goes right to the Mail app. It works great for my personal computer, but when I go to work and go on other computers is where the problem is.
When I am on a random computer at work, I have to sign onto my webhosting site and then use squirrel mail. It is quite a hastle and is not the best. I would love to use gmail, but still keep my domain name I have.
One co-worker mentioned just forwarding all my [email protected] emails to my new gmail email. There are issue's with doing this because if I'm at work and email someone with gmail it will use that email address. Also, I want to be able to read all my sent messages from any computer including the sent messages that were within my Mail app. Is this possible?
Besides forwarding is there a better solution? It is sort of hard to explain. Basically I want my [email protected] address to be run through gmail, be able to access on any computer, have it be the only address in my mail app, and most importantly have the sent messages from mail app to be able to be read on all computers.
I think gmail lets you make a domain name email, without gmail being included at the end. But I already have the email address made...am I able to just swap it? And keep all my mail inbox info?
What's the best sollution for my problem?

I try to get a gmail address that is close to the domain name like - [email protected] - so that I don't have to bother opening web mail as it is a pain.
I forward to Gmail and then Mac Mail because their spam blocker is the best.
A lot of web mail addresses bounce mail because the capacity is limited and the owners don't go into their control panel to launch their web mail and clear out the old stuff. Lawyers, in particular, are famous for this. For this reason I don't set web mail to keep a copy of the forwarded mail. If my web mail gets full of spam and they start bouncing then its not my problem! -
It's weird as I did back it all up and whatever I try it doesn't work! I spoke to apple and they wanted to charge me!!!!

Tap picture in Photos App and rotate - issue / Pls help

Subject: iPhone 3Gs / 4.0.1
Application: Photos App (default Apple application)
Issue: tapping landscape pictures with phone in vertical position and rotate them goes on black screen
Description:
I am with iphone in normal (vertical position) and i go to photos app in order to scroll some pictures that were taken in landscape position.
Everything is normal. I double tap it in order to zoom it.
I rotate the phone in landscape position and the screen goes BLACK.
I rotate it in portrait mode and picture is back on screen.
Question: where is the problem ?
Tests results:
I tried to make several tests to identify the problem.
Before I want to say that i tried restore / reset / etc.
1. The pictures that are taken in portrait mode are not affected on double tap and rotate thing.
2. Works if you zoom manualy (not by double tap) and scroll to a corner of a landscape picture before you rotate the phone.
I add that any other application works fine on rotate / zoom / etc even photos app works OK if i dont double tap the picture before i rotate it.
Still after the tests i am not able to identify where is the problem so i ask the comunity if can help me to identify it.

Are only 4 steps:
1. Open Photo App with phone in vertical position
2. Select a landscape picture
3. Double tape it (will zoom automaticaly)
4. Rotate the phone in landscape position and write down the results.

Lost apps and music after restoring
I have just restored my iPod because most of the apps were playing up. So I restored it and I synced it and found out that all my apps have gone. I really need help as I had a lot of money worth of appa on my iPod and very very sad please help
Of course they are gone. You restored your ipod which erase everything.
Certainly you made sure that you had transferred them to itunes on your computer before you restored?
Just sync them back.
If for some reason you have failed to transfer them before restoring (not wise), then unlike music, you can redownload them.
