App authorization (over and over and over)
Since updating to IOS5, every couple of days my iTunes tells me that my apps are no longer authorized for this computer. I have tried everything I can think of to get this to stop. I have tried:
Re-authorizing from the pop-up window from the error
Authorizing from the iTunes pull-down menu after having tried both authorizing and not authorizing from the previous error window
Restoring my iPhone, both to a previous backup and as a "new" phone
Deauthorizing this computer, rebooting and reauthorizing
Going into my iTunes account and deauthorizing ALL computers (even though this IS my only authorized computer), rebooting and reauthorizing
About the only thing that I HAVEN'T tried yet (and I'm considering it) is to delete ALL of the apps both from my iPhone and my computer and then re-downloading them all, but I don't see why that would work any better. Also, I have tried changing my sync options back and forth between a "cabled" sync and a wi-fi sync, as well as changing my backup from my computer to iCloud and back again, etc. etc. etc.
I'm out of ideas to try!
Any suggestions on how to make this stop?
Hardware stuff:
iPhone 4 with iOS5
Dell XPS, Windows 7 Ultimate
iTunes 10.5.0.142
Apple Software Update says all are up-to-date
Windows Update says all up-to-date
I'm having a similar problem whenever I purchase an app on my iOS 5 iPhone and then sync it.
When I setup my iOS 5, I used my mobileme e-mail address and then was informed that I had to combine it or something (I just can't remember exactly). The upshot is that I think I somehow have a different username associated with my iPhone. I don't have any problems with apps that I had before the iOS 5 upgrade as well as no problems if I purchase the app through iTunes on the computer and then sync my iPhone. This problem only crops up if I purchase something on my iPhone.

Not all the apps are open. When you double tap the home button that just shows you apps that you have recently used. They are not all open and running.

Just downloaded the new ios 7, and I can't seem to get any apps to download in the app store. It doesn't have the meter bar anymore and all it does is have a blue circle spin and spin for over 5 min. without nothing happening! Help!!!
Hi,
This is how App Store app shows now when an app is downloading. If you cannot download anything, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store, remove your Apple ID, and set it again. That should work.

Assuming you're using the same Apple ID, just download it onto your iPhone.

Why, when I sync my iPhone does it always take all my apps out of their neat sorted little boxes of twelve Apps organised by a commonality and rearrange them over a dozen screens in random order? Each time I sync, I have a 1hr long task of relocating apps.
Why no tleave them spread out I hear you ask... That is not practicable. I then have 12 pages to scan rather than just two. I need a solution... :-PI realize this is an old thread but I'm having the same problem after upgrading my software today. Kinda surprised there are no solutions at all with 88 views. I have an iPod touch btw, not an iPhone, but it prob wouldn't make much difference in this case.
The thing is, I get the screen(s) looking EXACTLY as I want on iTunes...just perfect (which is what I believe everyone else is experiencing as well). When we go to sync tho, it does whatever it wants to do. After syncing, all the apps are there, it's just that for me, it puts them in some type of random order. I have 72 apps and this is absolutely ridiculous!

Ok, so I have just updated my iPad2 to the latest OS and I have lost my paid magazine subscriptions. How do I re-establish the link so that I don't have to subscribe and pay all over again?? this is frustrating as I also had to reload alot of non-supplied apps (games mostly). I also lost all of my contacts content.
Put them back the same you did originally. Connect your iPad to your computer via USB and re-sync the music you want back to your iPad using iTunes.

I have over 20 songs and apps on my phone and when i connect it to my computer none will transfer over into my Itunes on my computer this is the first time this has done this and i dont want to loose anything, everything is up to date so im not sure why this is happening
The computer must be authorized to the same account you have on your iPhone. Connect the phone and choose Transfer Purchases from the iTunes File menu.

Moving to a new computer. How do I move my Apps and Purchased music over?
Can anyone help me understand what have to do to move my Apps and Purchased music to a new computer? There seem to be lots of articles about it but no single set of steps. I will transfer all my non-iTunes library and rebuild the library, etc. But how do I get the apps and purchases moved over? And how to make sure I don't reset everything and not be able to get it back? I have all my purchased music on the iPod.

Tell me if I am wrong, but if I set hook up the iPod to a different computer, does it not wipe everything out before setting up the new partnership?
Confirmation is required before anything is deleted from the iPod in that case. Items are only deleted without warning if the iPod is set to sync automatically with an iTunes library which that content has been deleted from.

I try to sinc. first i get "computers not authorized, would you like to authorize". I do that then it tells me its already authorized. enter and it starts over.

What does being hooked up to the laptop have to do with anything if you're downloading it to your phone directly? Are you connected to WiFi on your phone? If not, you can just download it from iTunes on your computer and sync it over.

Over the years and upgrading machines, I now have over 20k of emails in the import mailboxes within several folders. How can I archive these in way so the are still available, if necessary, to search, but don't load and slow down my mail app.

Just maybe dig in deep and delete the deleted mails that are still around and that will hopefully clean it up a bit.
