App Builder v26 update

With this update we are no longer able to specify custom library code and hide the Navigation Bar at the same time, which we were able to do in the last release. Is this intentional? Can it be reverted?
This is the process to be clear:
Make a Multi Folio app
Check Show navigation toolbar
Assign .zip file to custom App library
Uncheck Show navigation toolbar
Complete app process
Launch app
App shows default app library viewer

This is a known issue with App Builder in v26 that we'll be addressing in v27.

For iOS 7, additional app icon sizes are required: 152x152 (iPad HD), 76x76 (iPad SD), and 120x120 (iPhone). These new icon files are required when you build either a v27 or v28 app in DPS App Builder.

DPS App Builder v26 navigation toolbar

How do I hide bottom navigation toolbar while uploading custom library zip in DPS App Builder v26?

I've looked into this, and it appears that in prior releases of App Builder this worked even though it wasn't supposed to. If you want to specify a custom library in v26 you'll need to turn on the bottom navigation toolbar.
In our next release we will look to see if we can clarify the UI to make it possible to specify a custom library without the navigation toolbar visible.

Am I correct? Is the installer "DPSAppBuilder-2.6.0.8.77595" that you geht via official download already the new one for v26? I'm looking forward to create a new Content Viewer for our iPads (login issue).

Bob, are you getting reports of the new DPS App Builder not working? We were in the middle of a project when we were made to update it. After the update, DPS doesn't appear in the Application Manager, and fails to launch from the Folio Builder panel.
"An error has occurred while launching the DPS App Builder application.

Optional Policy Link - DPS app builder v26

Hi,
In the last update the DPS app builder received a new field.
I had a app reject by Apple with this message
maybe I believe that is because this new url field. Anyone more have had this issue already

Do you mean for the privacy policy link? What URL did you use? Apple will reject applications if they can find an URL that will take the user to a site that can be used to purchase items. You need to make sure you provide an URL that doesn't have a way to navigate to other areas of your website that allow purchasing.

Updating my .ipa in DPS App Builder for testing is not working

Hi there,
I've build my .ipa file in DPS App Builder for testing on my iPad before I publish it to the app store. No problem. I tested it and saw some modifications to make. I made the changes on my folio, updated it in the folio builder of indesign (on the cloud). Then I get back to DPS App Builder and rebuild an .ipa file from the "Manage" and "Modify" windows, it download and test my certifates, seems to work ok. Then I've created the new .ipa file (after erasing the old one on my desktop and iTunes) but when I synch it back on my iPad it's not updated. It's still the first version of my folio without the changes.
I tried to create a new app from the beginning but the single edition serial number does not work anymore. So my only solution is to update my folio, right? But what is the right way to do it? Am I missing something? I didn't find any answer in the step by step guide about that.
Or is it possible to delete completly the first version in DPS App Builder to recreate it without losing my single edition serial number as I didn't submit it to Apple yet?
Do I have something to do in the Folio Producer?

Single Edition Serial is one time use thus modification is not possible from your end directly in case you wish to use the same serial number. For such cases you need to contact DPS Support, who can get an approval on a serial number reset after reviewing the need.

NOT FOUND WCE2013 (update 5 or 11) Platform builder and Embedded App Builder in VS2013 update 4

Hi MS MVP,
I installed WCE2013 update 5 on VS2013 update 4 in Windows 7 Ultimate x64 successfully.
However, Open VS2013, I cannot found BSP builder and App builder.
I guess .net updates in Windows update causes the PROBLEM.
I trialed some test case:
- Install WCE2013 update5 on Win8.1 x64, VS2013 update2 : only see BSP builder in new project templates, BUT App builder missing. After upgrading VS2013 to update 4, BSP builder disappears in new project templates.
- Install WCE2013 update5 on Win7 x64: not thing changes in VS2013 update4. Downgrade VS2013 to update2 gets similar failure.
Please HELP!

I didn't answered my question, but I got it to work without having to re-install.
Delete all these files and folders from the eclipse/plugins and eclipse/features folder of your Flash Builder installation folder
com.adobe.cslib
com.adobe.inverurie
com.adobe.xmp
Open the CS Extension Builder plugin package
Copy all .jar files from the plugin directory and paste them into the eclipse/plugins folder of the Flash Builder installation
Copy all .jar files from the features directory and paste them into the eclipse/features folder of the Flash Builder installation
Extract every jar (ex: com.adobe.cside.feature_2.0.0.4-33034.jar file is extracted into a com.adobe.cside.feature_2.0.0.4-33034 folder)
Delete the .jar files
Restart Flash Builder
Everything works fine so far. There is a small glitch where the "CS Extension Builder Start Page" seems to miss its stylesheet, but the panel is working anyway. At this point, it's fine by me. And I'm still not able to uninstall the plugin with the "Installed Software" window (the button is grayed out).
So much for being lazy. And for wanting to repair my mistakes, of course.

App builder does not update changes to folio

I've been trying to update a single edition app (prior to submitting to the app store) but each time I update the Folio and build a new version, I see only the previous folio with no alterations. It seems that app builder just recreates the original folio no matter what changes I make. I've tried updating all articles in the folio, have deleted and reuploaded the articles with changes. I'm confident the new information is in the DPS online system but the data does not seem to make it to the app builder. Anyone come across this? Have I missed something?

Thanks for that information, that does explain the situation.
I personally have a CC subscription though the client I am developing the app for does not, hence the serial number. It should be no problem for me to generate another app using my own account. Having said that, this was not my understanding of how the single edition serial number worked. I was under the impression that the serial number was not considered redeemed until Apple had accepted the app which implies that it would be possible to generate further versions should amendments be required.
As an ACI in various Adobe applications and a professional trainer and production consultant it does concern me that this information was not made more clear by Adobe.
Anyway, this should get things sorted for now so thanks again for responding so quickly. Much appreciated.

Updating the folio of an app in App Builder

Hi,
as a need to update my activated app in the App Builder due to some changes in the article of my folio, I do have some questions:
After updating the article of my folio in InDesign I do have to create a new app to be able to use the update in the App Builder, right?
How can I use my serial number for single edition again to activate this new app and to download my developer data? Should I delete the first version?
Until now I downloaded the Dev-App only not the Distribution-File.

App Updates via Edit in App Builder

I heard several times that it could give buggy Apps when you create an update for an existing App via the "Edit"-Button in DPS App Builder. What's your experience? I have done it for more than one App without any problems. It would be a huge effort to redefine the whole fields of an App in order to update the App to a newer version.

Why is my new download of DPS App Builder still coming up with the notification that I still need to update to the latest release when I already have??!!!

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

There is no "release 32" of DPS going out today, and there are no updates to the InDesign panels. We are pushing out a minor update to release 31 with some new features in the Android and Windows viewers and some minor bug fixes elsewhere.

Unable to update DPS app builder

I have this problem with updating the DPS app builder
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
- This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

Problem with scrollbar after update with App Builder 32.4.4.

I just created an app update with the new version of the DPS App Builder (32.4.4.). After the update the scrollbar (of the viewer – no scrollable content) moved from it's original position. (see screenshot)
Any ideas?

Could you tell me more about the article? Is it an HTML article or a PDF/JPEG/PNG?
The issue appears in every article, in every folio. It doesn't depends on the type of article.
Is your Multi Folio app a Newsstand app as well?

Was the previous version of the app already installed on the device with downloaded folios in it, and then you upgraded it via iTunes? or was it a fresh install on the device?
The previous version was build one week ago with the previous App Builder and installed via TestFlight on the iPad. Today we created a new version with the new App Builder (32.4.4) and updated the App via TestFlight.

Need to update folio / cannot delete app in app builder

Hi,
After downloading the development .ipa and noticing a few errors, I want to edit the folio. I understand now that you need to just create a new app in the DPS App Builder, however my Single Edition serial number that I purchased to publish the app under is now tied to the first, incorrect app and I can't seem to transfer it over to my new app with the folio edits. I have also tried to just delete that first app, however it won't let me do that either -- the delete button in the bottom right just appears to be gray/unclickable. Help!
