App builder with .inf file

Hi,
I try to make deployment for a Labview app that use a .inf file to communicate with a printer. After the installation the printer don't work. I use a control for send data (USB0::0x0A5F::0x00A1::37J110900197::RAW)
The printer is Zebra, I made the .inf file with VISA driver wizard and on my computer works just fine. I try to install INF file but still not result.
It is a possibility to export settings from MAX? Or it is other possibility?
Thank you in advance.
Solved!
Go to Solution.

I exported MAX settings, like you tell me and after that I made update of the driver from Control Panel like is describe here http://www.ni.com/white-paper/4478/en/  and now works.
Thank you for support.

  • How to package resource files for iPad app along with ipa file

    Hello,
I am developing an app for iPad in Flash Builder 4 and Packager for Iphone.
I want to keep my xml-asset files local to the app. When I run my app in flash builder, I load the resources locally.
When I upload the same onto iPad, I need to package the resource files along with the ipa file.
I tried compiling the air-project with "-include-file" compiler option, but in vain.
    Any help?
    Tanu

You can read through the resources documentation for iOS here:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/air/extensions/WSf268776665d7970d-2e74ffb4130044f3619-7ff8.htm l
Of particular interest is the line:
"3. It moves the resource files to the top-level directory of the application."
So not sure if you are using an ant build script or whatever to build your ANE, but as long as you place these json files into the folder with your library when you build the ANE, these will end up getting copied to the top-level directory of the application when an application is built using this ANE.
This is exactly how I include an iOS .bundle of resources along with a .a in an ANE and it works fine. Nice clean packaging when distributing the ANE too.

  • My executable compiled with Real Time Engine 5.1.1 in App Builder gives error when trying to run in App Builder with RTE 6.1

Hello.  I built an executable using App Builder in LV 5.1.1 and now, years later, I am trying to run it in LV 6.1 but I get an error stating a requirement for Run Time Engine version 5.1.1.  To be able to run this, must I install the older version of Run Time Engine?  If so, where can I find the older version?  Do I have to install the older version of LabVIEW to get the RTE?  Will having both versions on my pc be a problem?
I assume that once I am able to run the exe, that I will be able to recompile with the newer version of the RTE using App Builder.  Is this correct?
I have been away from LabVIEW for several years and am a bit rusty on these details that I once knew.  Any help is appreciated.
    Alex

The version of the run-time engine must match the version of LabVIEW that was used to create the executable. You can get any version of the run-time engine you want here. The only way to create a version 6.1 exe is to re-build it from the source code with diagrams. An exe has no block diagram so it cannot be converted to a newer version.

  • Is it possible to share assets between a windows and a mac AIR app build with captive runtime on one dvd-rom?

    Hi there,
I have a question about burning two builds of an AIR desktop app with captive runtime, one for Windows and one for Mac, on a single hybrid DVD-rom that can be played on both Windows computers and Macs.
I've tried sharing the assets (video's and pdf's mostly) between the two builds, but I can't seem to get it to work. The only way I have been able to work around this, is to have the assets in both builds, which results in the double the amount of space on the DVD-Rom.
Is there a way to have the two builds use a single location to find the files? Or do I need to have two builds that both contain all the assets?
    Thanks in advance!
    Kinds regards,
    Maarten

    Gotcha!!
I am done with mounting a secondary HDD (thanks to ifixit) and installing Windows 8 Pro 64 bit on it without a worry. Charm, charm!!
Boot Camp 5 guide prescribes all needed steps and when read and used correctly, installation must be an easy task. And all the existing apple hardwares work so good in the Windows environment too.
I am going to help out a friend of mine in doing a similar thing on his mac too. If you got specific questions, please do shoot up here and i should be able to get a reply to it (if at all).
    Thanks everyone.

  • Supporting AiR links app:// or with AiRAliases file:///

    Hello
We are using Strobe Media Playback in our App and it works in all Browsers and on the iPad.
But it don't work for our Adobe AiR App. We always get "We are unsable to connect to the contetn you've requested....".
As far as we can see, the problem is, that AiR can't handle links like app:// or file:///.
You can download the zipped app here:
    Download
Only the tool "Product Benefits" is of interested.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Cheers Alex

I got this to work (exactly as mentioned above) in Android but on iOS I get issues. I also need to use .url as .nativePath doesn't seem to be friendly.
The performance is another thing. Trying to play a 800x480 video on a HTC EVO 4G (single 1ghz snapdragon) was a painful 1-2fps mess. I encoded the video in f4v H.264 and also mp4 H.264. They were both 1-2FPS.
Clearly waiting for StageVideo in AIR3.0 is going to be the fix for this whole mess.
ns.play("videofile.f4v") ... I don't think that your first 3 lines are needed or appropriate here, are they?
You're in AIR for Android/iOS so you have the flash.filesystem package you should look at, specifically the File class. It helps AIR load files you package that are located in your applicationDirectory.

  • Any way to use an App Tab with exe File (such as Thunderbird.exe)?

I'm trying to set up an App Tab in Firefox 4 Beta (9) to call up Thunderbird. But when I put the location of the exe file in the address window, Firefox sends me to the download manager, and won't open the file otherwise. I'm assuming you can't open an exe file in Firefox, but is there another way to get a tab that will open Thunderbird so I don 't have to do it separately? Thanks

Try the Get Mail extension: <br />

  • Cant sign to DPS app builder in to download distribution ZIP file

I cant sign in to DPS app builder, with the very same P12 and distribution certificate I used to create the app. the app is visible in the DPS app builder. however I just cant download it. Right before download it asks me to sign in... i define paths for P12 file and distribution certificate and i type my pass for P12 file... but after a while it returns me sign ion error message - conatantly.
Btw, my folio and article in it doenst have any special chars (only a-z). Thank you.

Try the following if you are a Creative Cloud customer:
    1) Make sure DPS App Builder is no longer running on your machine. Go to the DPS App Builder menu and make sure you quit, so it's really shut down.
    2) Sign out of Folio Builder Panel in InDesign, then close InDesign.
    3) Run InDesign and sign into Folio Builder Panel
    4) From Folio Builder Panel select Create App in the flyout menu and proceed with the app creation process.
If you are getting a signing failure, rather than a sign in failure, try the three solutions at http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/kb/app-builder-error-signingfailed.html.

  • Push enabled distribution mobile provisioning cert rejected by App Builder

    Hi *,
with the first app using push notifications we struggled in DPS App Builder 2.6.0.
The distribution provisioning profile detail view on developers.apple.com lists 'Enabled Services: Push Notifications, In-App Purchase, Game Center'.
The development provisioning profile states exactly the same.
APNS certs are set, push is enabled and Adobe Push Server selected.
Using these distribution provisioning profiles in the App Builder with push messages activated, the App Builder accepts the development profile but does not accept the distribution profile as push enabled provisioning profile! (red box, message stating a push enabled profile must be used).
Any idea where to start searching or why a profile with Push Notifications enabled is not accepted?
    Thx
    Holger

Just deleted all mine and started again, generated new app id with push active, new mobile provision files and new Push production and development .p12's and I am getting the same problem.
According to DPS app builder my push production APNS certificate is not valid! see screenshot below, driving me mad at the moment!!!
I cannot save my progress in DPS app builder as it will not accept the certificate so need to leave it open till I get it to work.

  • App Builder doesn't advance - single edition user

I have followed directions identified in the following chain with Neil Enns - Adobe but have not be able to be successful in advancing in DPS app builder.
Re: Can't advance in DPS App Builder
I've completed building my folio and have chosen 'Create App' from the Folio Builder. When DPS App Builder opens, there's nothing listed under app type/name, despite being signed into DPS app builder with the appropriate Adobe ID. When I select 'New', then 'iPad,' it brings me to a form which I then complete, but DPS App Builder won't go any further when I choose 'next'. I'm a single edition user anxiously trying to submit the app before the may 1st expiration deadline.
I've been chatting with Adobe support, Case # 0186577346, but have not yet had any luck in determining how to fix.
As referenced in Re: Can't advance in DPS App Builder, I launched App Builder from the Folio Builder Panel. I've also closed the Folio Builder panel once DPS app Builder is open, I've restarted my machine, and uninstalled/reinstall DPS app builder.
    Stuck screen:

    PROBLEM RRESOLVED
I uninstalled, restarted, and installed as forums indicated. What I found is that DPS App Builder had a default startup window that was showing, so when Adobe InDesign CS6 and told to 'create app,' it was sending data to DPS App Builder, but its default window was negating the data sharing. DPS App Builder didn't have any folio to work from. When I opened DPS App Builder and selected the check box 'do not show at startup,' closed the app, and then told InDesign to 'create app,' again, it was successful. I was able to create icons and splash screens and connect the certificates and move forward from there.
Neil Enns - Adobe - this may be an important bug to note in DPS app builder.

  • Application ID for DPS App Builder?

I'm trying to enable Rate My App in DPS App Builder, but I don't get how to get the required Application ID before the app's been built and submitted to iTunes Connect. Can anyone help?

    Bob,
Thanks. I have the ID from the developer site, but that one's a text
string, not the nine-digit one Rate My App requires. Following Adobe's
Step-by-Step SE guide,I haven't yet registered the app with iTunes Connect.
I guess I'm wondering if I can take the iTunes Connect Add New ID process
all the way up to the app submission, get the number, and then suspend the
process or bail out without having to start all over again while I generate
a new app from DPS App Builder with Rate Me App all set up.

  • Title ID not accepted in App Builder

    Hello,
I've recently lauched a new Professional DPS account, but the app builder is not accepting the email (title ID). The ID/password is working perfectly fine in the folio builder and folio producer, which makes this really confusing. All of the download credits are showing up in the DPS portal, so the account appears to be set up. Can anyone help with this? Thanks.
    Darin

When you set up your accounts using the Account Admin tool on the Dashboard, there are three account types:
Admin - lets you assign account roles and view download data
DPS App Builder - lets you sign in to DPS App Builder and build apps
Application - used for Title ID and creating/publishing folios
It sounds like you're trying to sign in using an account that has only an Application role, not a DPS App Builder role. You can either configure your Application account to also include the DPS App Builder role, or you need to assign the DPS App Builder role to a different account, sign in to App Builder with that account, and then use the Application account as the Title ID. I believe that most publishers have a single account with a DPS App Builder role rather than assigning both roles to each account.

  • How do I create a single file installer for LV 6.1 App Builder Output?

I have created an application using the 6.1 App builder and it installs fine. To be able to send this app to others, I would really like to put it in something like a self extracting executable file. How can I do this with app builder or can you suggest another software to buy that will let me create this.
Thanks for any help that you can provide

You raise a number of important points. I'll answer to the best of my knowledge.
    1. Usually true. Win98/2K/XP have the Windows Installer Service built in, but 95/98/ME require InstMsiA.exe, and WinNT4 requires InstMsiW.exe. The difference is in the character set (ASCII vs. Unicode), and I don't know how that difference applies to the non-Roman alphabet installations. It's safest to include both if you're going to include one.
On the same subject, I noticed that the first thing the LV7 evaluation installer does on a Win2K box (and therefore probably on a Win98 box as well) is update the Windows Installer service, so LV7-built executables may very well require InstMsiA.exe/InstMsiW.exe on Win98/2K.
    2. I think so. I usually don't distribu
te LabVIEW EXEs as self-extracting installers, but it probably is safest to wait until the setup is complete before returning control to the self-extractor software.
    3. True. (And note that one of the circumstances under which you might repair/update msiexec is with LV7 on Win98/2K).
    4. True. Setup.exe appears to install/update msiexec if needed and then launch the MSI file.

  • App builder problem with Fuzzy Toolkit

    Hi,
today I wanted to build an app (using LV2009) with some functions from "PID and Fuzzy Control Toolkit".
Now the app builder is searching for a type definition in vi.lib (as shown in the pic), but it doesn't find the CTL file - but the path used for searching is correct! Then I do the search manually, point to the requested CTL in the correct place (and with correct name of course), and the build will succeed.
    What's up here?

    Hi,
    thanks for your thoughts!
    Answers:
    - I use WinXP SP3, German settings
    - I use LV2009SP1 for that project, toolkits are installed with that version (other LabVIEW versions are installed too, from LV8.5.1 to LV2010SP1)
    - LabVIEW is installed in the "standard" path on drive C: (as can be seen on the attached pic of message #1)
    - the app builder is unable to find the ctl file (the standard search dialog pops up), but the file is located on exactly the path used for searching (as can be seen on the picture)
    - all I have to do (but this really annoys me) is to point LabVIEW to an item in a place it already knows...
    - the type definition is part of the toolkit, it's installed/located in the standard folder of that toolkit, and I never changed/touched any path or file name
