App catlog and bluetooth issue

hello sir i m from india ijust brought a palm pre 2 unlcoked p102una version actully i m new wid ths os so i dnt knw how to download aapppss .. And its app caltog is also locked every time i open it it says action could not be completd try again later .. plsss help mee out and pls tell me how to install apps in palm pre  and there is also one more prob with its bluetooh cant send or recive file with other phone to my palm pre thnksss in advanceee ...
Post relates to: Pre 2 p102una (Unlocked NA)

The reason that it can not transfer files over Bluetooth is that the profile required for that functionality is not included with the Pre (it's never been included with any webOS device unfortunately).
What is the exact error message you get when trying to access the App Catalog?

You posted in the correct forum last time and this time.
Yes if does seem as though too many users are experiencing these issues. I don't know if any of these steps will help you. At one time or another, all of these have worked for other users, so maybe one will work for you. You already tried changing the date ahead, so I didn't include that in my boilerplate response here - which you can probably find 20 times on the iPad discussion site by now.
I don't know if you have seen this one yet....
Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off.
If the downloads are stalled or "waiting" - try these suggestions.
    Or this ...
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

  • Touchpad and bluetooth issue

    Hi,
The bluetooth and touchpad enable/disable feature is not working on my hp g4 1303AU model. I have installed lots of bluetooth drivers but to no avail.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Parag

    Hello @paragpratim,
I have read your post on how the TouchPad and Bluetooth software on your computer is not functioning correctly, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
Since the TouchPad and the Bluetooth are collectively not working, I recommend installing the original software and drivers that first came with your notebook computer. This can be done by following the steps in this document on Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 7) or for (Windows 8).
Once this software is installed, please follow this resource on Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 7) or for (Windows 8) to update the drivers.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

  • N91 WLAN (WiFi) and Bluetooth Issues.

    Hi Everyone,
I am having some issues with my new N91. I recently had the firmware upgraded, and the issues have not improved at all. I'm hoping someone out there has faced and solved some similar issues, or perhaps that you can point me in the right direction towards finding a solution of my own.
WiFi (WLAN). Okay, the N91 comes with WiFi built in. I have been able to find networks, and browse the internet on my phone, in Infrastructure mode. It is pretty simple. The problem has to do with encryption.
On my home network, I use WPA encryption with TKIP. The N91 configuration screens give me the option of using WPA with TKIP, but the phone won't connect. I tried changing to WEP on my home network, and configuring the N91 to use that encryption instead, but it also did not work.
Since I use other computers on my network with WiFi, turning off encryption is not an option. I did test the phone and the router with encryption off, it connects.
The issue is, the N91 will only connect to un-encrypted networks. This is fine for free hotspots, but I want to sync with my home PC via WLAN, send email and use the phone via VOIP. I also need to connect to encrypted networks on the road.
Has anyone managed to connect to an encrypted network with an N91? Do you know what specific hardware you were connecting to, and what protocols you used?
The second issue is Bluetooth. I drive a 2006 BMW M3 with bluetooth support. My old phone (Sony t630) connected to the car via bluetooth flawlessly. It shared the phonebook with my car, and automatically diverts calls to the car when I'm driving. I can answer the phone via a button on my steering wheel, which automatically cuts out the radio and allows me to take calls while driving.
The Nokia "pairs" with my car. However, regardless of what I do, it will not share the phone book, nor will it transfer audio to my car's sound system. According to the Nokia documentation, the pairing process requires that a code be entered for the bluetooth device on the phone, and for the phone on the bluetooth device. I cannot set a code in my car (the bluetooth device), since that is not an option. I can set the code on the phone for my car, and the phone then reports "Pairing Complete". Setting a code on the car was not required for my trusty old Sony. Though the N91 claims "Pairing Complete" there does not appear to be any mechanism for activating the car handsfree via the phone, and the car does not automatically take a call if the phone rings while paired. (On the Sony, one can "Send Call" to a blue tooth device, if the device doesn't automatically take the call, or if the pairing takes place after the call has been initiated.)
Does anyone know of a work around to get the phone to pair for audio (I can live without the phone book). Does anyone know of a third party application that will fix the blue tooth on the Nokia to make it work more effectively with my car?
Any information that can be provided on either of these topics will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
    Dan

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Starting with the bluetooth aspect of your question. I can't say for sure which profiles the Bluetooth on BMW supports (still researching). I can say that my Sony t630 supports all of the protocols you listed, though I can't say for certain about the "AG" aspects. It lists:
    File Transfer
    OBEX
    Object Push Protocol
    Handsfree
    Headset
And several others that I don't think are relevant to this particular issue. As I said, my phone lists "Handsfree" not "Handsfree AG". I'm still trying to research what if any distinction exists there.
The important point is that the bluetooth on the BMW isn't wholly defective. It does work with at least one phone. The bluetooth on my N91 hasn't worked with the car, but I have no other hardware to test with. I don't think it is defective either. I believe they both function, I just need to figure out what needs to be done for them to play together.
I think there are two questions that I'd like to find answers to. Has anyone ever modified a bluetooth profile on an N91 (or other Nokia)? Is it possible to add bluetooth profiles that don't already exist on the phone?
As for the point I made about my N91 not connecting to encrypted networks. I am correct to assert that it does not connect to unencrypted networks, though syntactically I shouldn't say "The N91" since it implies too much.
Semantics aside, my N91 can't connect to encrypted networks so far. My research on this site (and others) indicates other users have faced the same issue, and none of those threads came to a resolution that I could find. Searching this site, and others, I had found no documented cases of an N91 functioning on an encrypted network. Since posting (on another site) I have found one user who has had success, but that user hasn't yet responded to my question of how exactly he pulled it off.
In the absense of any evidence explaining how to connect an N91 to an encrypted network, and the prevalence of people expressing difficulty with it; I think it is correct to say "The N91 will only connect with un-encrypted networks."
I'd really like to be wrong on that statement, since I own the phone and I want to connect to an encrypted network. However, I haven't been corrected yet. So, if you can point me to a thread or discussion explaining what settings were used to make a successful connection on an encrypted WLAN of any type, that would be great.
To anyone reading this or helping out, I really appreciate your time and attention. Please let me know if I can provide any other information to help with this question, or on any other topics.

  • Yoga 13 WiFi and bluetooth issue resolved

Unfortunately, I also met WiFi problems, but also found unexpected and sad solution.
Wifi worked pretty well at working place, but had problems at home. As an experiment I brought WiFi router from the working place home. It did not work!
At home I used pretty old keyboard and mouse plugged into passive USB hub. As soon as they were disconnected, problems disappeared. WiFi was also stable after I plugged power supply into the USB hub.
We are making 24-bit analog-to-digital converter that connects to the PC via USB. I exactly know its current consumption (300 to 330 mA) and know that it correctly handles USB rules about power regulations. Maximum current, specified by USB2.0 standard, is 500mA, so consumption of our ADC is within limits. As soon as I plug this ADC in, WiFi connection immediately disappears at the working place.
In the case of other devices, such as USB flash drive, power consumption may depend on the activity, increasing as it writes or reads something, and decreasing at the moment of inactivity.
I'm pretty sure that Lenovo placed their WiFi/bluetooth module on the same USB hub with right-side USB2 connector. Any device, that requires energy, being plugged into USB2.0 port, immediately destroys WiFi (and presumably bluetooth) and it is rather hard to get it back alive without special dancing around.
So, conclusion: never plug anything into USB2.0 port, if you need WiFi. This decreases number of available USB ports from two to one. Lenovo team should be blamed for that, not driver manufacturers or board manufacturers - Lenovo did non do its construction job well.
I am not sure, that all WiFi and bluetooth problems of Yoga discussed at this forum have the same reason. But in any case incorrect implementation of USB2.0 power should be considered before any other reason of malfunction.
Car manufacturers recall their products in the case of a failure. What about computer manufacturers?

    Citation from Wikipedia:
The USB 1.x and 2.0 specifications provide a 5 V supply on a single wire to power connected USB devices. The specification provides for no more than 5.25 V and no less than 4.75 V (5 V ± 5%) between the positive and negative bus power lines. For USB 3.0, the voltage supplied by low-powered hub ports is 4.45–5.25 V.[61]
A unit load is defined as 100 mA in USB 2.0, and 150 mA in USB 3.0. A device may draw a maximum of 5 unit loads (500 mA) from a port in USB 2.0; 6 (900 mA) in USB 3.0. There are two types of devices: low-power and high-power. A low-power device draws at most 1 unit load, with minimum operating voltage of 4.4 V in USB 2.0, and 4 V in USB 3.0. A high-power device draws, at most, the maximum number of unit loads the standard permits. Every device functions initially as low-power — but may request high-power, and get it if available on the providing bus.[62]
Obviously, WiFi adapter is a high-power device. If it does not have sufficient power, it will start power saving program by reducing speed. Even lower power may interrupt ins basic functions. When I connect another high-power device (HDD or ADC) to the same hub, it should get its 500mA from the hub. Seems that starting at this moment  WiFi receives much less current than it requires and stops working.
If something is plugged into USB3 port, and this something does not utilize all energy it requested, WiFi starts working again.
I would greatly appreciate if somebody repeats my tests using Yoga or Yoga 2 Pro.
    Test:
Reboot your system, all USB devices disconnected
Open http://www.speedtest.net site and measure Download connection speed (Speed1)
Connect external HDD to USB2 (NOT USB3!) port
    Wait until HDD is connected
Test Download speed once again (Speed2)
Report results to this blog as Speed1/Speed2 couple of numbers
    Thank you in advance

  • Music Apps, Decoders, and Bluetooth Control, Oh My

My LG G4 came with "Beats Music", "Google Play Music", and "Music" "apps" (the quotes around apps to be explained later). I loaded "PlayerPro" as that has been my player of choice.
I noticed on my old Galaxy S3 and on my new LG G4 that some mp3 files do not play to completion. It is as if they were corrupted. The same MP3's play fine on my desktop. Changing music players on the phone has no effect - the song gets interrupted using either "Music" or "PlayerPro".
Question 1) Is the MP3 decoding happening at the hardware layer and/or within Android?
Question 2) Is there some way with how a file is encoded (the encoder used, bit rate, etc) that is known to cause issues with playback?
When listening to PlayPro on my Bluetooth headset, at one point the the "Play" command from the headset caused "Music" to start playing, not "PlayerPro".
Question 3) How do you control which app the headset is commanding? Is there such a thing as "default music app", and if so, how is that specified?
While trying to debug the misrouted bluetooth commands, I tried to make sure "Music" app was really terminated. I pressed the square on-screen button to bring up the task manager.  "Music" wasn't listed, even though "Music" was playing music. Also, when I go to "Apps" under the config menu, "Music" isn't listed.
Question 4) Is "Music" really an app?

    Hey
I’d be happy to help with music playback on your LG G4!
Let’s tackle each question one by one. With regards to MP3 decoding, this is indeed performed by the Android system, though certain apps do have the ability to decode on the app level. You’ll also notice this in some video playback apps, where you can opt for hardware or software decoding. To my knowledge, there are not any known issues specifically related to Android which would cause MP3 files to behave in this way, however the behavior you have described certainly sounds like the affected files were corrupted during their upload/transfer as you have suggested. I would recommend removing the files and re-syncing them across from your PC.
Bluetooth headset of control of your music app can sometimes be changed by setting a default music app, depending on the device. Generally, you can do this by following these steps.
Head to Settings > Application Manager
    Swipe across to ALL
    Choose the Music app
    Tap Clear defaults
Use a file manager app to locate an MP3 file
Upon opening MP3 file, you will be asked which app to set as default
    Choose your desired app
Failing this, a workaround would be to disable any music apps you do not wish to use via the Application Manager. As mentioned above, the Music app may only show in the ALL category.
    I hope this helps!

  • Apps crashing and connectivity issues with 8.3

Has anyone else been experiencing these issues after updating to 8.3?
    - Multiple apps crashing upon startup of the app (according to release notes it was supposed to improve this but made it worse)
    - intermittent Bluetooth connectivity when playing music via Bluetooth in a vehicle
    - Touch ID intermittently working in app store
I made the switch back to Apple and am regretting it immensely. They put out numerous betas of this update before release and still couldn't get it right. They make millions but seems they need to invest in software engineers more than watch designers that are just imitating what's already been out. So much for innovation. Please get this fixed ASAP

Same here, I have an iPhone 6. After updating to 8.3 the phone started to lag, the battery consumption went crazy, the phone started to overheat and the games started to stutter and freeze for short periods of time. From what I've read on the internet this update is good for 5s or lower models but for 6 and 6+ it's a lot worse. This is unacceptable since Apple has only 5 phone models compatible with iOS 8 and they have all the resources and time to make the things bette.

  • IPhone5 and bluetooth issues

I have the iPhone5 and I am trying to pair it with my macbookpro model 3,1.  The computer reports the devices paired but the phone reports that the macbook device is not supported.  When I try to browse the phone from the computer then I get system not supported message.  I know my macbook is a bit long in the tooth but I am running OS 10.8.2 without issues.  Any suggestions?

When I see someone write something as completely moronic as "There is no reason to pair the iPhone with the computer otherwise.", I feel compelled to comment just to set the record straight. If proper Bluetooth functionality is not something that you require, then fine. However, don't go making ridiculous sweeping statements assuming that no-one else would ever want this ability.
Perhaps you are one of the people who will also continue to use Apple's Map app instead of Google's app. Because there really is no reason to know the correct location of places, now is there? (Just in case you didn't get it, I was being sarcastic )
By the way, I did choose a different device for my personal phone. I bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 for myself which is an absolutely fantastic phone - easily the best phone I have ever owned (and believe me, i've owned a fair few). And yes, it does support all of the aforementioned Bluetooth features.
Unfortunately, I was given the iPhone5 by my company, and have had no end of problems with it . Hence why I seem to spend a lot of time on these support forums.

  • How can i fix my wifi and bluetooth issues in yosemite?

Hi, after upgrading to Yosemite I've noticed that my bluetooth trackpad (Logitech t651) and wifi connection are having serious conflicts which result in sluggish trackpad response or occasional wifi connection drops.
I would have some occasional sluggishness with my trackpad in Mavericks but it would never lead to dropping of my wifi connection. Here is a little more about my configuration, my wifi connection is 2.4ghz, I have read that upgrading to 5GHZ would solve this problem but this would of course require me to purchase a new router which I would like to avoid. I have noticed that if i turn off my wifi, my trackpad is 100% smooth and responsive so the two issues are definitely connected. Does anyone have solution to fix this problem that doesn't include changing the wifi broadcast channel (which I've already tried), switching to 5GHZ, or utilizing an ethernet connection? Thanks

I think I'm having a similar problem, my wifi disconnects when a bluetooth device is connected to the MBA.
I have a MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2012) with WiFi and Apple Trackpad.  I'm unable to use the trackpad(bluetooth) and wifi at the same time.  If I turn off the trackpad then the wifi works fine and if I shutoff the wifi then the trackpad works fine.  This configuration was working fine prior to upgrading to Yosemite.
I experienced the same problem at home and at the office.
    Additional test:
I turned off the bluetooth trackpad and connected my bluetooth headphones to the MBA.  The wifi disconnected as soon as I paired the headphones with the MBA.
I have had no problems with the MBA's keyboard or integrated trackpad.

  • 10.6.4 Update and Bluetooth issue

I just updated to 10.6.4 and my MBPro now doesn't allow bluetooth keyboard or mouse to wake when sleeping. The option to "allow bluetooth device to wake computer" is greyed out. This wasn't an issue prior to the update.
    Any ideas?

I am thinking there was a problem with BT and sleeping of MBPs. I have a bluetooth mouse and disabled that feature in 10.6.3
I don't need my mouse to wake my MBP anyway. Sorry I am not much help. Just stating my view.
I just checked my computer...that area is not grayed out on mine and I am at 10.6.4.

  • Recovery Partition Missing and Bluetooth Issues After Update

After upgrading to 10.9.3 my recovery partition is gone and my bluetooth will pair with a new device, connect, and then disconnect.  After that I am not able to reconnect the new bluetooth device.  I can see it, but can't connect to it.  I have tried multiple bluetooth devices, and they all do the same thing.  I am really baffled about the missing recovery partition.  Any ideas?

I still don't know what happened to my test Aperture Library after the update to 3.4...Not only were my previews lost, but so were the original images!  Needless to say, I haven't bothered to update the main library on the Mac Pro because I don't want to deal with this level of uncertainty (even with backups in place).

  • Audio and Bluetooth issue on Z3

Hi - I've recently upgraded to a Z3 from IPhone and am very happy but for an issue I'm having with the phone when it's connected to my cars stereo via USB or BT where it skips for about a second at random intervals.
I've tried turning off stamina, WiFi, Smart Connect etc as I found a bit of info on this problem online but not specifically for the Z3 and no-one with the problem recently.
I've also found the BT connectivity a bit patchy. The phone usually connects to my car but sometimes it starts playing music, sometimes it says it's playing but no sound and sometimesbit says "no service" on the stereo display but I can make or receive a phone call just fine. The music will not work until I re-pair the link. My wife's S5 works fine with the stereo as have numerous IPhones.
    Any ideas?
