App Could Not Be Found

I recently restored my Ipod and when I did a number of Apps disappeared off of it. I can still see the apps in my library on itunes, but when I try to reinstall them it says the "App could not be found. I try to redownlaoad them from Itunes store, but it says that I have already downloded it. I guess I need to delete these apps and strat over again, but I don't know how? Any advice appreciated. Thakns -D!

RIght click the App from your iTunes library App Section and select delete.  Then you can go to the iTunes Store section and redownload it.

  • Apps "could not be found"  HELP!

Just bought a used ipad 2.  Restored it and synched with itunes.  Everything worked fine, some apps, music...except 61 apps could not be found.  When I click "more information" it takes me iOS: An app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open and that information is useless.

I think that you are leaving out some important information like where do you see this message about the apps not being found? Did you see the message in iTunes when your iPad was still connected to your computer and you were in the process of syncing? Did it appear after you synced?
And when you click "more information" where are you clicking that? Where do you see that information?
Without knowing the answers to those questions, I would try quitting everything and rebooting and then start again. Close iTunes, reboot your computer, reset your iPad and then try to sync again.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • TS1702 "App could not be found" error

I erased all data on iphone. Later when restoring, most of the apps are not syncing back with "because the app could not be found" error. HELLPP!!!

I assume that you are trying to sync them from your computer's iTunes ? If so do the actual files exist on your computer and the entries in your computer's iTunes aren't pointing to files that no longer exist on it ? If so then you should be able to delete the iTunes entries and then re-download them from the store : re-downloading.

You haven't told us what you've done to troubleshoot thus far.  What's up with that?

  • TS1702 What to do when you get "iTunes library app not installed on iPhone; app could not be found"

What to do when you get "iTunes library app not installed on iPhone; app could not be found". None of the Apple suggestions fix the problem. For example, with Animoto, one of the problem apps, I have removed it, reinstalled it, and still get the eoor message.

    Of course.
First of all, this started when an external drive i was using died on me. I have no doubt that these apps indeed are off my system. I figure between the apps I've bought for myself and my kid, I have about 150 apps.
    Now. The issue.
When I sync my iPad with iTunes on my desktop, it goes through normally until it gets to the apps. When that happens, it get an error box that reads "Some of the apps in your iTunes library were not installed on the iPad because one or more errors occurred. For a list of appps that could not be installed, click on the triangle below."
Then I get a list of apps.
(Added note to any iTunes developers out there: The titles of the apps in this list do not always match the titles of the apps in the App Store. For example, one was called "MuseumGame" on my iPad. It's called "Museum of Thieves" on the App Store. I started out with a list of 60 apps. It was a major pain to track them all down. It would be nice to have everything the same so I can use the App Store search more effectively.)
    Anyway, moving on....
The error message stops my sync until I dismiss it. That, honestly, is what makes this whole thing annoying enough to seek out an answer. I can't let my iPad start syncing and walk out of the room. Yeah. I know. First World problems.
Once I dismiss the error, the sync continues and all is well.
I did the following to try to fix the problem. Mostly, I did a lot of searches:
My list of purchased apps on my iPad both using the search box and by going to every page
Searched the main App Store on my iPad using the search field. When that didn't work, I used wider searches and just scanned the page(s) for the little cloud icon that showed I had purchased the app.
I got on my desktop iTunes and searched the apps from there (without a lot of hope, but trying to be complete)
At that point, I came to the conclusion that a small number of the apps are no longer available on the App Store.
Fine. I didn't want them anyway.
I got into iTunes and went to the Apps page. None of the errant apps showed up there. I searched the iTunes help files. Nothing. I crossed my fingers, said a little prayer to the search engine gods, and tried Google. I found some things that sort of matched but they basically boiled down to "re-download the app from the App Store" or "Restore your iPad".
So I spent a couple of hours restoring my iPad. I got the error message again. I hit Google again and came up with this thread. It was as close to my problem as I found.
I think that brings us up to date.
My fundamental problem is that I seem to have found a scenario where if you have to restore apps (because, perhaps, your external drive died) and some of the apps are no longer available for download, there is an error generated that can not be permanently dismissed.
    Did I miss anything important?

I just got a Ipad 2... and when I go to load my apps on it, 80% of them state that they can not be found???? I dont understand this.

  • Updating to 8.1.2 error: app can not be found

    Hi,
I updated my iPad to 8.1.2 two days ago and 77 of my apps would not download back onto on my iPad. In the update process a message had come up that I had to revert to factory settings and I could download my apps after. I complied and now receive the error: "The app was not installed on ... because the app could not be found", 77 times.
I tried to restore the apps from the iPad backup on my Mac, but I get the same message. Also tried to re-install the apps one by one from the Apps menu in Itunes that appears when I connect my ipad to my Mac, but I get the same message.
    Please advise!
The point for me of having apple products is that they are quality and they work, no fiddling around required. But this has taken me hours with no result, very frustrating.

A backup doesn't contain the actual apps, just their content/settings, an iTunes restore looks to pick them up from the Apps part of your library. For restoring from the cloud, have you moved countries since buying them, and if so are they in your new country's store ?
The messages that you are getting from your computer's iTunes implies that the apps files are no longer on your computer (just the 'pointers'/names of them in iTunes), they've either been deleted or they've been moved so that they are not where iTunes is expecting to find them - if you select one of the apps that you are trying to sync back in the Apps part of your library (not on the sync screen) and do 'control-I' (which is used to 'get info' about it) does it ask you if you want to try and locate the file ?
If it does then if you delete them from Apps then you might be able to redownload them (if they are still in the store) via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage. If you have changed countries then try finding them in the store and see what happens when you try to download them from the store e.g. try a free app and when you try to 'buy' it see if if you get a prompt that you've already 'bought' it and would like to redownload it - then try the paid-for apps. You can then try restoring to your iTunes backup or just resyncing them

  • I'm trying to use import com.adobe.crypto.* on Windows version of my App but get error 1172:Definition com.adobe.crypto could not be found

The Mac version of my Air app works fine, so does the iPad version, but the PC version has been a bit of a nightmare.
I keep getting the error "1172:Definition com.adobe.crypto could not be found", when I publish it.
Basically the 'com' folder is in the same directory as the app I am publishing and within that is 'adobe' and within that is 'crypto' within that is a series of .as files.
I've added C:\Users\Gary\Documents\My_Applications\My_App_folder\com\adobe\crypto to source path list (I have no idea if that's right).
But that just gives me a different error 5001: The name of package com.adobe.crypto does not reflect the location of this file. Please change the package definitions name inside the file.......
I didn't have to include this source in the Mac version... but someone seemed to suggest it on a forum.
I'm basically stabbing in the dark at the mount, something I seem to be doing a lot of these days. :-(
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Many Thanks
    Gary

    I've figured it out
Turns out I needed to add a source path (in the Actionscript 3 settings click on the Source File Tab) that exactly matches the directory the app and com folder is inside of. I wrongly assumed that Adobe Air could figure out where it was for itself, but no.... it needs to be told where to look for the com folder even though it's staring it right in its face. (Don't set the path to the 'com' folder itself, but to the enclosing folder that the .fla and the com is in).
The Mac version doesn't seem to need that, it just finds the com folder if it's inside the same folder.
Now I've got another massive error:-
When I test the app, it works fine sending to Air for Desktop, however when I publish with embedded runtime for Windows.... It comes up with this error.
    Any ideas ?

  • Oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: Region could not be found in AK_REGI

    Hi,
I am new to OA Framework and current developing a small application.
    Here is my application setup:
I have a page called ComplaintsMainPG.
This page just has -->pageLayoutRN-->HeaderRN-->an item (link with Destination URI as OA.jsp;page=/mycompany/oracle/apps/ego/complaint/decision/webui/QuestionairePG&country=US&questionId=USQ1&retainAM=Y
The next page where I want user to navigate to is: QuestionairePG
This page has a VO with the following query:
    select * from xx_my_table where :1=country and :2=question_id
When I run my 2nd page QuestionairePG directly ...I get the error: not all values bound (seems logical)
So, I try to populate the binds by passing them as a part of URL from the 1st page.
What is wrong that I am doing? Is there a better way to pass the parameters to my VO so that all bind variables are bound?
When I compile my first page, I get the warning (not error) that:Warning: If "AM Definition" property is the same for more than one region in a page, then each region needs a different "AM Instance". Error on components "/mycompany/oracle/apps/ego/complaint/decision/server/ComplaintMainPG.HeaderRN" and "/mycompany/oracle/apps/ego/complaint/decision/server/ComplaintMainPG.pageLayoutRN".
And when I run I get the error:
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: Region could not be found in AK_REGIONS; RegionCode: RegionApplicationId: -1
Is this a serious thing that I am missing out?
I am very much new to OA Fwk and
    any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Devang,
If you are new to OAF, better go through the initial chapters of Dev guide and do the sample page create. Unless the basics are not clear, you will be getting stuck at small issues.
Coming to current issue, there seems to be many things out of order:
    1. You have assigned same AM to 2 different region on the page.
    2. In your VO query "select * from xx_my_table where :1=country and :2=question_id" , how are you doing the binding? Have you written the code for it. Assuming country and question_id are columns names, it should be like "country=:1 and question_id=:2"
    3. AK region error might be coming because of some explicit application id set by you in the page xml.
My advise will be do some sample pages as per the dev guide before starting on your own.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:
Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting.
Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
    Try a different USB 30-pin dock-connector cable.
    Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
