App Crashing after AIR 15 upgrade

Hi,
I've developed an app that I was about to submit to the App store. I've just upgraded to AIR 15 and installed using rsync, following instructions here. I'm using Flash Builder 4.6.
I can create the ipa and run in debug mode, either on my mac or on my iphone 5 (running ios 7). But when I upload to TestFlight and then download onto my phone, the app crashes. It opens, I see a white screen, and then it immediately closes. When I check the crash test report on TestFlight, it doesn't show any crashes.
I'm trying to figure out if there is some setting that I have wrong. I've set this line in my app descriptor:
<application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/15.0">
When I tried to export a release build for android, I got this error:
/bin-release-temp/WordSlider-app.xml: error 102: Invalid namespace
http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/15.0
Anyone seen this or know what to do?

Timbowicz I can't see how to do that in the FB 4.6 IDE. It's not a Flex project; it's an actionscript project. The above link said to try
Project -> Properties -> Flex Build Packaging -> Apple iOS -> Customize Launch
So I'm looking for
Project -> Properties -> ActionScript Build Packaging -> Apple iOS -> Customize Launch -- but there is no such thing. Pretty sure this isn't available in FB 4.6?

Apps crashing after failed memory upgrade

Over the Christmas holiday I had attempted to upgrade my dual 1.8GHz G5 PowerMac from 1 GByte to 3 GByte with memory from Crucial. However there must be a fault with one of the DIMM modules - which are now being replaced by Crucial under their RMA scheme - and I aborted the upgrade.
However the nature of the memory fault was that the machine was very slow going through its initial hardware check then after booting up OSX the system either crashed immediately or within a minute or so of starting.
The Mac was unusable but Mail and several other applications load at start up, presumably access their databases and possibly corrupt them when the machine crashed.
I have now reverted to 1GByte which works as before, but whenever I try to open an email item, Mail crashes and leaves me at this reporting prompt - which itself also crashes if I try to add a comment before sending it to Apple.
Since then I have found that Disc utility also crashes in the same way, but I have been able to boot up from the 10.4 issue DVD and then run disc utility which reported a few permission errors which have been fixed. No hardware errors have been reported.
Any advice on possible cause and corrective action would be welcomed. I have recent incremental back ups and should be able to retrieve everything, but that might not be the cause and I would like guidance on what I should do ---- obliterating 10 years worth of emails isn't an option!!

LG Ally - Apps crashing after install of Upgrade Utility for Ally

I was pushed down the "upgrade utlitly for Ally" after that an OS upgrade was pushed down but never successfully installed. I don't want to do a hard reset as I don't know if the system will just push down the utility again.
I have had nothing but problems after OS upgrades and have had to do multiple hard resets and have not had the phone for even a year.

@beverlyann76 Thanks for posting. I can certainly understand the troubles that you are having downloading the Upgrade Utility App for Ally. I did do some research on this and it seems the best way for the app to install successfully is to do a manual install. You can install the app here. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Mail.app crashes after Tiger upgrade

Hey! I have had trouble with mail.app crashing after I upgraded to Tiger v 10.4.6
I have tried reinstalling Tiger since and have all the updates to 10.4.9
The mail.app still crashes even after repairing disk permissions and disk...
Please, if anyone can decode this, help!

Hi laceydanielle.
It seems that the junk filter database has become corrupt. Try this:
1. Either shut down the Internet connection before opening Mail or take Mail offline immediately after opening it.
2. Reset the junk filter database (Preferences > Junk Mail > Reset).
3. Go online again. The problem should be fixed now.

IPad apps crash after installing iOS 4.2

After i installed iOS 4.2 almost any app crashes after a few minutes to the home screen and changes arent saved yet. Some apps handle it a bit longer, some crash right after a minute or so.
Any idea why or what to do?

Eek. Sounds like something in the app caused some serious software issues. You can try a hard reset, but I'd imagine you're probably going to have to do an iTunes restore to get it running right again.

EBay app crashes after scrolling

The eBay app crashes after I try to scroll down from the "Selling" list.
Anyone else?

Also, when I delete it from both the iPhone and iTunes "applications" and "Get App" again, it says I have already purchased it, and to download it again for free, press OK.
Where is the "plist" file that tells iTunes that this app exists when I have deleted it?

IPhone 4s with ios6 all apps crashing after opening

iPhone 4s with ios6 all apps crashing after opening. Yesterday my phone started to crash. Everytime i started whatsapp or others, it stars working at first than goes back main screen. Resetted the device by pushing home and lock buttons. Nothing happened. Tried to format and it's worked again. But i don't want to set my phone from beginning. When i restored from backups nothing happened. Only hard format fixed. what else can i do with this situation ?

Try restoring it but set it up as a new iPhone this time. If that does not work then bring it to Apple.

Mail.app crashes after migrating

i migrated from MBP to new MBP retina with SSD . Since then Mail.app crashes after 10 seconds.
i tried:
clean cashes
repair permissions
empried Container in Lib
Prefs in Lib
nothing worked ,
deleted everydata related to mail and started with a naked mail....
didn´t work....
any possibillity to download mail.app again ? ?

Problem solved !
Restart while holding cmd R (Oh i miss the apple logo here)
After OSX utilities shows up in the top menue bar click terminal
type : resetpassword
hit return
select your system HD
Type your old password
click reset
click reset home folder permissions & ACLs
wait until your mac is finished
close all windows and restart

Multiple apple apps crashing after upgrading HD on MBP

So I manually upgraded my hard drive today on my Macbook Pro (Santa Rosa mid 2007) to a Hitachi travelstar 500gb SATA, 7200 rpm drive. I restored the new drive using my last time machine backup.
I am running 10.6.2.
Since then, I notice multiple apps crash when attempting to open them. So far, I've noticed this includes Safari (nightly Webkit works fine), Mail, and Software Update. I cannot open any of these programs. I have no idea why this is happening, any advice and help is greatly appreciated!

Nevermind, found multiple instances of this on the web after Time Machine restores. It seems to be a problem with the restore process. I reinstalled 10.6 and everything is normal again.

Having trouble with the Air/app crashing after 3 or so hours on Win 7.

I have been battling with this issue for a few days now, trying to debug what might be the root cause. The application is a reaction game with organic creatures and movement via Bezier Splines and some physics. It uses some really intense calculations while the game is running. Anyhow, the game is being ran on a dedicated machine with Win 7 and AIR installed. It should be able to function about 13-16hours in a row, since it is a part of a science centers show, and it should be touring europe in the near future as well. Needless to say having the app crash every few hours isn't really an option.
So, after about 3 hours (checking from Win 7 error log) Windows notifies me that the application has stopped working and it just freezes the whole thing. I've been running it over nights to see when this error happens, and it seems to happen pretty consistently after around 3-4 hours of runtime with constant games. (having the game play itself)

Now from what I've tested from extended running of the game by itself, it doesn't leak memory, and it doesn't seem to throw any Flash based error at all. I set the Debug flag on the installed AIR app, and checked the trace log for any errors, there were none. Also no flash/air specific modal window about an error, only the Win 7 error about it stopped working.
I am at a loss here, what could be causing this error? Any ideas on how to fix this? I would really appreciate it!

If you get any form of strange behaviour from your BB then, with the power-on, remove the battery and leave it out for a couple of minutes.
If that doesn't sort the problem then post again or use the search facility above.

Magazine apps crashing after upgrade to IOS 6

I just upgraded from IOS 5 to IOS 6.1.3, now whenever I launch Sports Illustrated or Time Magazine, the app crashes. If I reboot iPad, the app will launch once, then crash on each subsequent launch.

I would try deleting the apps and reinstall them. That will delete your magazines as well, but you should be able to download them again.
I have Sports Illustrated myself and so that I could be sure that it would work OK, I deleted the app and then downloaded it again. I had to go through the motions of registering again but as soon as I did, I got a message saying that I was already in the system. I closed the window, went back to the Library by tapping the Library button at the bottom of the app, and downloaded the latest edition with LeBron James on the cover.
Tap the Newsstand icon to open it to your apps. Tap and hold down on on of the icons until it wiggles, then tap the X on the magazine icon in order to delete it. Tap the home button to stop the apps from wiggling, go back to the purchased tab of the App Store and tap on Not on the iPad. Find the app and download it again.

Help! Apps crash after upgrade to iOS 7.0.3

I just upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS 7.0.3 and now nearly all my apps crash as soon as they open. I tried a soft reset (held down on/off button and home key) and it didn't do anything. I also upgraded all the apps to the latest version.
Does anyone have a fix for this?
Please help, my iPhone is almost useless because of this.

If you haven't cleared the Multitasking for a while, I would suggest doing that. If that doesn't work, clear cookies and website data, and that might cause it to be faster and less likely to crash. Then turn off and then back on if both of those don't work.
