My Ipad is my first apple product. When I updated my apps, the updates froze and did not download. I removed the apps and reinstalled. This worked. Now Ibooks does not download anymore, it always says 'waiting'.
I can not do any other updates either. They stay in the waiting mode, and the download bar does not move...

Try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Also - Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or video .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.

Hello, I am looking at purchasing the professional edition of digital publishing platform, I am putting some costings together for client. Apart from initial purchase of the platform fee, would a 2 hour allocation of time for upload to apple store be in the ball park of charging time? Also where do I get information on the number of downloads per month for apps on the apple store and android? Is that information based on the platform fee purchase or the apple/android store? The app will be free download to the consumer.

I can't quit iTunes. I can't delete the download. I can't log out of the Store. App is not yet in the Mobile Applications folder.

App downloads frozen on "waiting..." even after reboot.

A few days ago I had a download from app store freeze on waiting status. I tried restarting ipad2 and "hard reboot" as stated from some ppl in forums using both home and sleep buttos but still no luck. I tried also downloading other apps which also froze on waiting and even deleting the initial "problematic" app. Still apps are on waiting status a few days now and no reboot helps. Any other suggestions? I use ios 5

@desmond 31, clicking on the app doesn't bring anything up. I can only delete it but that doesn't solve the problem.
I also found out that I have podcasts stuck also on downloading state and won't go further. Those I can not delete.
@abilash432 I think that's what I'm going to do. Sounds Like a way to go for PCs and a device as simple as an iPad should not have problems like that.
@diavonex, I did connect it with iTunes on my putter but I don't see how I can complete the downloads there. Any more info on that?

ITunes unable to finish processing a file App download

I´m using iMac with Maverics, latest version of iTunes.
The problem is that I have three apps stuck on ¨processing file¨ on the Download window and nothing happens. They have been there for two days.
I have purchases waiting for the three apps downloads to be completed.
I tried to shut down iTunes, but it does not quit.
I tried to shut down iMac and it says that I need to wait until iTunes finishes downloading updates or quit iTunes.
I have tried all the combinations and iTunes is still there.

I found many articles related to this problem. Very silmilar questions.
Three apps stuck in Download and could not quit iTunes.
I found one article on how to quit iTunes using Activity Monitor to Force iTunes process to quit.
It did quit iTunes. I was able to restart iMac and then open iTunes again and it is working now. I am downloading now the applications updates along with recent purchases.

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

I purchased and in-app download and have a receipt but it is still not showing, so where is it?

I purchased an in-app download for Little generals and have a receipt, but it is still not showing up. Ive tried all the usual sign in then back out...shutting on and off but none of this works. The file just seems that it does not exist even though they have already charged my credit card. So, WHAT GIVES???
PS: And the people on the other end of the phone line seem to be completly clueless about their own products..

If you don't have the Firefox button, you're using the classic view. To restore the new view of Firefox (Changed in Version 4):
* View > Toolbars > Menubar [Uncheck]
In Firefox 6 you can use this to clear your history/other offline content:
Click on the Firefox button on top left part of your browser:
* History > Clear Recent History
There you can select what you want to clear.
If you want to see the menu bar you can press alt on your keyboard so you can see file/view/...
Also for activating it to always be there follow this (Classic view of Firefox):
* Firefox > Options > Menu Bar

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping upward on the app window (not the smaller icon) off the screen.
Then reset: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.

App download stuck on waiting on iPhone 6 plus when the app is purchased on another device

iPhone 6 Plus on AT&T running iOS 8.1.2. When I purchase or "get" an app on my macbook, the app shows up on the 6 plus, but hangs in "waiting." The app, however, will download perfectly on my iPad mini. I have tried restarting the device normally, and restarting it while pressing the home and sleep buttons (hard reset?), resetting network settings, signing out of iTunes and back in, and even setting up the phone as new. The problem occurred before and after doing a complete restore and setting it up as new. The only solution that works is removing the app while in "waiting" status, and initiating the download from the 6 plus itself. I don't know if this is a bug that will be resolved in 8.2 or if I am missing something. (automatic downloads are on and set for both updates and new app downloads, wifi is working) There are no other problems with app downloads on the 6 plus; auto-updates work perfectly. This issue only happens when the download is initiated on another device.

If you still have problems after resetting your iPad (I do) or the problem returns, then try this:
Settings > iTunes & App Store > Tap on your Apple ID > Sign Out
Restart your iPad
Open the App Store
When you next initiate a download from the appstore you will be prompted for your apple id.
You may find that you need to repeat this often, particularly if your iPad is afflicted by the same iOS 7 bug as my iPad 3.
Having seen this on one of two identical iPad rev 3s running iOS 7 (the only difference being the apple id), I suspect this bug relates to the number of apps associated with each particular apple id. If you don't have many apps then you don't get App Store locks ups. The more apps you have, the worse the problem gets. If you sign out of a problematic apple id then the appstore will work properly, at least until you sign in and the appstore loses focus (i.e. if you switch to another app or you iPad goes into standby). At a guess, I'd say that iOS 7 caches the active apple id's purchase history (including free apps), presumably to make the purchased tab work better than if it were entirely server side. I also suspect that if the cache is incomplete or too large the appstore app stalls, leaving you with a white, unpopulated appstore screen or "Unable to connect".
