App download frozen

Hello world!
My Ipad is my first apple product. When I updated my apps, the updates froze and did not download. I removed the apps and reinstalled. This worked. Now Ibooks does not download anymore, it always says 'waiting'.
I can not do any other updates either. They stay in the waiting mode, and the download bar does not move...

Try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Also - Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or video .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.

I've downloaded an app from the App Store using iTunes. Settings are set on my other mac so that new purchases are automatically downloaded. That particular app (2013: Infected Wars) did download, but froze on the last step ("processing file" or something like that, my iTunes is in French).
I can't quit iTunes. I can't delete the download. I can't log out of the Store. App is not yet in the Mobile Applications folder.

App downloads frozen on "waiting..." even after reboot.

A few days ago I had a download from app store freeze on waiting status. I tried restarting ipad2 and "hard reboot" as stated from some ppl in forums using both home and sleep buttos but still no luck. I tried also downloading other apps which also froze on waiting and even deleting the initial "problematic" app. Still apps are on waiting status a few days now and no reboot helps. Any other suggestions? I use ios 5

@marianfromspringwood, yes I am on a wi-fi, I don't own the 3G version
@desmond 31, clicking on the app doesn't bring anything up. I can only delete it but that doesn't solve the problem.
I also found out that I have podcasts stuck also on downloading state and won't go further. Those I can not delete.
@abilash432 I think that's what I'm going to do. Sounds Like a way to go for PCs and a device as simple as an iPad should not have problems like that.
@diavonex, I did connect it with iTunes on my putter but I don't see how I can complete the downloads there. Any more info on that?

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

How do you get rid off the white app download screen after you have downloaded an app. It seems to have frozen and I cannot do anymore searches on the App Store

If you still have problems after resetting your iPad (I do) or the problem returns, then try this:
Settings > iTunes & App Store > Tap on your Apple ID > Sign Out
Restart your iPad
Open the App Store
When you next initiate a download from the appstore you will be prompted for your apple id.
You may find that you need to repeat this often, particularly if your iPad is afflicted by the same iOS 7 bug as my iPad 3.
Having seen this on one of two identical iPad rev 3s running iOS 7 (the only difference being the apple id), I suspect this bug relates to the number of apps associated with each particular apple id. If you don't have many apps then you don't get App Store locks ups. The more apps you have, the worse the problem gets. If you sign out of a problematic apple id then the appstore will work properly, at least until you sign in and the appstore loses focus (i.e. if you switch to another app or you iPad goes into standby). At a guess, I'd say that iOS 7 caches the active apple id's purchase history (including free apps), presumably to make the purchased tab work better than if it were entirely server side. I also suspect that if the cache is incomplete or too large the appstore app stalls, leaving you with a white, unpopulated appstore screen or "Unable to connect".

Try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something), and then re-try your apps - the free app can then be deleted.

Thanks for the question. Let's see if we can isolate this issue further. Can you try deleting the video from you iPad, then redownloading it? To delete a video from our iPad, see the following:
Delete a video from iPad. Tap Edit in the upper right of your collection, then tap on the video thumbnail. If you don’t see the Edit button, look for on your video thumbnails—those videos haven’t been downloaded to iPad, so you can’t delete them. To delete an individual episode of a series, tap the series, then swipe left on the episode in the Episodes list.
Deleting a video (other than a rented movie) from iPad doesn’t delete it from the iTunes library on your computer of from your purchased videos in iCloud, and you can sync the video or download it to iPad again later. If you don’t want to sync a deleted video back to iPad, set iTunes to not sync the video. See Sync with iTunes.

I purchased and in-app download and have a receipt but it is still not showing, so where is it?

I purchased an in-app download for Little generals and have a receipt, but it is still not showing up. Ive tried all the usual sign in then back out...shutting on and off but none of this works. The file just seems that it does not exist even though they have already charged my credit card. So, WHAT GIVES???

If you don't have the Firefox button, you're using the classic view. To restore the new view of Firefox (Changed in Version 4):
* View > Toolbars > Menubar [Uncheck]
In Firefox 6 you can use this to clear your history/other offline content:
Click on the Firefox button on top left part of your browser:
* History > Clear Recent History
There you can select what you want to clear.
If you want to see the menu bar you can press alt on your keyboard so you can see file/view/...
Also for activating it to always be there follow this (Classic view of Firefox):
* Firefox > Options > Menu Bar

To disable that feature it will depend on whether or not you sync everything in the cloud using Apple's iCloud, OR if you both use the same desktop/laptop computer with iTunes.
