App Exposé and limited gesture options - solutions please...

I have upgraded to Lion on my personal Mac, however...
I rely on easy access (1) to a desktop's open files regardless of where they are (2) or which application I am using to manipulate them (3).
(1) Lion forces you to use a (more awkward) pinch instead of a swipe for some of its features (eg. Show Desktop)
(2) Lion requires you to know whether a file is hidden or minimized before you can use the right gesture, and
(3) if the file is minimised Lion requires you to:
(a) select the relevant application,
(b) launch App Exposé and
(c) search for your file amongst other files that are not even open.
Thankfully I haven't upgraded my work Mac to Lion and will be happy to stay with Snow Leopard. And, for the first time I would be hesitant about recommending a Mac (with Lion) to friends.
Does anyone have any solutions to this issue?

I just discovered a program called "BetterTouchTool" that gives more control over gestures. It seems to do some of what Moom does too. At least Lion is getting me to look beyond the Mac App Store.
That helps with my first (1) issue, now I just need something to solve (2+3)...

and Safari all vanished.

Check Settings>General>Restrictions to be sure Camera, Safari and Installing Apps are set to On. If they are check all your screens and inside all your folders. If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This will restore the home screen to its original configuration but may move other apps around to do so.

You're going to have to contact iTunes support, as directed, to fix this issue.

Some of the trackpad gestures like App Exposé and switching between fullscreen apps not working, even though I specifically set them on in system preferences. How do I fix this?

They were working up until today and I didn't update anything and my trackpad is still working otherwise.

I've tried looking in the Preferences menu, which had nothing that could help me.
PS In 10.6, there is a Kotoeri preferences box at the bottom of the first tab called "Show Predicted Candidates". Is this checked for you? (I think in 10.4 this is still in Japanese and might be different). In the third tab, there is also a setting related to the number of conversions. And in the last two tabs there are dictionaries that can be either open or closed. I gather you have tried all of these without success?

Exposé and now gestures just stop working?!?

Hi everyone,
   So I had this issue in Snow Leopard where occasionally, in the middle of the day, Exposé, Spaces, and my Hot Corners would just stop working for no apparent reason. Seems to always occur after I return from lunch.
   Well, today I upgraded to Lion, and this afternoon am having the same issue, only this time more pronounced. Absolutely NONE of my Magic Trackpad gestures are working now. They do work within applications, but I can not invoke Mission Control, Exposé, Launch Pad, or desktop switching from my Magoc Trackpad. I do not have this same issue with my home machine, (a same - generation 8-Core Mac Pro).
   I should add that the trackpad is a recent purchase (just this past Friday), but the seemingly identical (SL) Exposé issue was presenting itself long before.
Any thoughts?

Try to reset the device:
*Device reset*
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

App Store and credit card options

I used to be able to select the none section of credit card info but since I added a prepaid MasterCard I can't choose this anymore. I even tried to create another Apple ID but the none selection was still unavailable! Help!

I do have a valid payment method. But it's not accepting it I shouldn't have to buy an iTunes card when I have a perfectly good credit card. It's for App Store nut iTunes

How do I delete apps's windows from the new "app exposé"? Particularly Pages-

Hi, I'm having an enourmous trouble with organizing my "recent" (rather ALL GOD **** WINDOWS!!!) documents in apps that support App Exposé. When I do the gesture with 4 fingers moving simoultanously down, it shows the currently opened window along with ALL THE WINDOWS I'VE EVER OPENED IN MY LIFE!!!!!!! What can I do to delete the at least the "windows" that are not even on my mac anymore????? APPLE THINGS ARE SUPPOSED TO JUST WORK! AND ALL I GET IS THEY CRASH, CRASH, CRASH!!!!! DAAAMN THIS! By the way; iCloud is ********!

Thank you very much for your concern! But I do actually know what the App Exposé is. But is it really supposed to show all the windows I've opened within the App in my whole life? When I do the gesture, it shows the opened windows, and beneath them is list of all the documents and windows I've ever opened. Most of them do not even exist anymore. I'd really like them to disappear. And by the way, thanks a lot for teaching me the Command + Tab movement, which brings me up to an another problem; how do I exactly get to know these kinds of gestures? Like… I know the Mission Control, the App Exposé and now I know the App Switcher. But how do I do other ones? I am desperate right now. I'm not sure if I got myself into some real trouble since I got the in-app and it works fine, but the purchase did not show up. You find third-party apps in the App Store. What app are you looking for? Due to problems, Apple removed the ability to record that information in Health. You can always go back to whatever you used before three weeks Health was released. Why can you not check and record your blood glucose? I would assume you check it using blood samples and a glucose meter which has nothing to do with your phone. You should be able to record it in any number of apps, from Notes to purpose made third-party apps.

the appletv will not be able to work on it's own
you can use a computer or iphone acting the role of hotspot login using it's browser and getting internet access and then sharing it with the appletv
so the appletv sees it as a wifi router it connects to
