App for iPhone stuck on "waiting", App for iPhone stuck on "waiting"
I have an iPhone 4 running the latest iOS version 5.1. I have two separate issues:
1. Within the last couple of weeks, I get the notification from App store that updates are available. I select the App for the store, select "update all" and all that happens is "waiting" which goes on and on. I did the search of the forum and tried everything suggested except restore. The only way I can get the App to download to my phone is to connect to my iMac and go through the whole thing of downloading App update to computer and then synching to iPhone. I see others have had the problem as well. I have changed nothing on my phone which used to do this function just fine over my wireless network.
2. The second issue which I have posted elsewhere is that when I make an appointment on my iphone in my iCloud calendar, it doesn't sync to my calendar on my iMac or on my iPad. I can make appointments on my iPad and they sync fine to both the iPhone and my iMac. Any appointment made on my iMac calendar syncs fine to both iPhone and iPad. I have been trying to fix this issue for weeks and have had zero success. I have tried pretty much everything suggested elsewhere in these forums and it hasn't helped. I did have brief success going into System Preferences on my iMac, unchecking calendar and then rechecking after a few minutes; but that only lasted a few hours. Ready for the experts!

Sorry, mate. Just realized my last reply was the correct answer for a different question. Most likely, your problem is caused by a corrupted music file (or cover art). Suggest the following process:
1. With your iphone connected to itunes, highlight the phone in the devices section, then go to "summary" tab and check the box to manually manage music and videos. This will wipe the phone of all your songs, ringtones, videos, photos and everything else other than apps.
2. Add music back either 5 or 10 artists at a time, or 1 playlist at a time. Keep doing this until the sync buggers up again. Same process for all other iphone content.
Alternatively, you can restore your iphone to its original settings, so you know that it is fully wiped and not the cause of your problem, then add back content as per above.

hi, I finally got lucky and past the "other" memory status issues when syncing. Now I'm "waiting for changes to be applied" sync stuck all night (itunes yesomite iPhone 6 plus). is this a bug? I have not had a single successful sync with yesomite.
please help. this issue prevents music from syncing. I have set the sync setting to convert songs to 192kbps AAC to save space, I figure that could slow the sync
down, but it's hanging indefinitely (I've left it for 24 hours with out it completing.)
the the only music that appears on the phone are songs purchased from the iTunes Store. 95% of my collection are rips from my CDs.
thank you for any help!Yeah it's pretty sad that $1000 phone they put out you such cheap memory It causes issues, I have iPhone 6+128 GB actually this is the second brand-new one they gave me because they keep affording it trying to act like that's not the issue because they're too stupid to know how to check what memory is in each one before they give it to me when I have told them multiple times my back up runs perfectly fine on two 5s phones and a 6 64GB of course running MLC memory.
I told them it's because just like the write ups say I have 809 apps but I have not even put all my music on the phone so I'm still running 50 to 60 gigs free and it crashes and reboots itself sometimes in multitasking and more often than it does that in between multitasking I get a black screen for 1 to 2 seconds in between apps and upon start up the Apple logo screen will flicker and do weird things, One of the genius idiots asked me if I could just delete some of my apps, really that's the answer to fix the phone the customer needs to limit the amount to apps they put on their phone, why the **** get a 128 gig if you can't put on anything you want to it guess they need to start selling them saying you can only put a limited number of apps on them, it's really is a **** joke, I have over $20,000 of Apple merchandise easily and always get the new phone every year but I'm starting to reconsider my decisions in the future because this company is starting to go downhill, The reason water not recalling the phones is because they're dealing with their top-of-the-line thousand dollar phones in this case and most people don't have over two or 300 apps so they're not having as many issues, so basically they have messed up phones they just don't know it in their hands and Apple is just too **** greedy to recall the phones, they'd rather sell customer spends that only work half ***.
Stuff like this will be the downfall of their company, all the people that stay with them because as long as you don't jailbreak their stuff it normally just works without issue will be soon jumping ship if stuff like this keeps up, because I can guarantee they got me thinking now.
not that I wanted to know or should I be expected to but I even offered for them to open up my brand-new phone and just replace the memory to MLC memory which is something I shouldn't have to do with a brand-new **** phone, they should just make one with the right memory and give me a new phone, actually just don't sell customers that buy the top-of-the-line phone from you trash ones in the first place that would be a great option.
what burns me up the most is when you talk to AppleCare and Genius Bar they try to act like the issue isn't there and they're unaware of it, they say that Apple hasn't come out with any information about it, yeah that's because they don't want to recall the trash.
Apple has became nothing better than your run-of-the-mill company, android is becoming just as good as they are sad to say this since I have been an Apple fan for so long but there is no excuse for BS like this they have been looking for options to fix my phone for a month now this is not the way you should treat loyal customers, I would've been better off keeping my 5S and in the future just switching to android.
it's pretty sad that the company has no idea how to check which memory is in their **** phone and even after I offered to let them just replace the memory in my new phone by opening up my brand-new phone to replace it they have no idea how to do that either, yeah Genius Bar sure, I think that should change the name to idiot bar and Apple don't care instead of Apple care. -
iPhone has previously downloaded apps but go to do today and won't keeps asking for billing info which is in there and correct but then says plz update you payment there is a billing problem with your previous purchase it's done before to me so reset and erased everything and worked did that Again and still doesn't work info is all correct have to re enter Ccv number still doesn't work driving me nuts I want my apps
If you had money in your account when you purchased a paid app and Apple didn't claim on the payment to your bank until after the download it maybe that there was insufficient balancce in your account to complete the purchase and therefore you'll need to wait until you have the funds to make the payment, when you have billing issues it won't even let you download free apps.
If that isn't the case then give iTunes store a call or email them and they can tell you exactly what is wrong with the account -
Aperture app for photos on iPhone instead of iPhoto app
I recently got Aperture and have been converting iPhoto pictures over to Aperture.
I have the iPhoto app (standard with the iPhone) with a few 100 pictures.
I thought that I could add an App for Aperture to the iPhone for the pictures but cannot find it in the app store in iTunes.
I have no problem continuing iPhoto as an app for the phone, but think it would be easier.
So the question is : is there an iPhone app for Aperture that allows the viewing of the photos thru the iPhone as can be done by the iPhoto app ?

GregThe Photos app on the iPhone is not specific to iPhoto. It will also show photos from Aperture.
Connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes and select it from the Devices list. Then click the Photos tab at the top. There's a popup menu "Sync photos from". This is where you decide whether you want photos from iPhoto or Aperture on your iPhone. Don't forget to sync if you change the setting.
Using this automatic syncing you can only have it sync to one application at a time. However, if you want photos from both, you can instead choose to sync from a folder using the same popup menu. Just export the photos you want on your phone from both iPhoto and Aperture into this folder. The upside is you have complete control over what gets synced. The downside is it is a totally manual process. -
i have a 3GS iphone and have 4 apps which will not delete. i tried to update them but when the grey icon marked "waiting" appeared on the screen, the blue bar never filled nor loaded and has sat there for a few weeks without changing. i have tried to delete the icons but once the 'jiggling' starts there is no "x" on it. i can move it around the screen but not get rid of it.

I have some songs/interludes on my Garageband app on my Iphone. I was planning on using some for my bands album. Now my Iphone won't turn on and I'm being told to restore the phone. Have I lost all my Garageband songs?

After syncing a replacement iPad for the first time, my apps now have a"waiting" message . I can still access from settings but not on the opening app page
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

To solve some sound problems, just follow these simple steps
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap on General
3. Tap on Reset
4. Tap on Reset All Settings

I have a new iPad and there is an ad for a game stuck on my App Store page. Does anyone know how I can clear it?
Double click the home button and swipe the App Store up to close it. Check to see if the add is gone. If it's still there it's reset time. Press and hold down both the home and power button for 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own. Now the add is gone.

Unless I misunderstand the question, you can't do what you're asking to do. Apple doesn't allow you to bypass their store and host public apps on a website. The exception is an enterprise app, which requires an Enterprise account with both Apple and Adobe. This type of enterprise app can be distributed only within the company. If that's what you want to do, you can learn more here:

Another option is to add the development app to several devices and use those for your demo. -
Will I need to purchase iWork for my iPad if I purchase an iPhone 5s? Everybody knows the iPhone 5s with IOS7 gives iWork for free. I assume that if I buy an iPhone 5s (or 5c) then iWork would be listed as a "purchased" app in my itunes store under my account. My iPad retina is in the same account... or are keynote, pages, and numbers completely seperate between ipad and iphone? I know they would be a seperate purchase for my Powerbook. If Other (the yellow bar) is too big something is corrupted. The only solution (that I know of) is to restore from your most recent backup using iTunes (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766).

In iTunes my iPhone refers me to iTunes on my computer for verification. iTunes won't work on my computer. How can both my iPhone and iPad stand alone?
Turns out that when my iPod Touch was restored, the restrictions had been turned ON for Facebook and several other apps. This is what was preventing the Facebook app from accessing my Camera Roll for picture downloads. This is odd since all of my iPod backups would not have had those settings turned on. This is also the first time this has occurred given the few times I've had to restore my iPod Touch.
Anyway if you experience the same behavior from your iPod or iPhone with iOS 8.0.2, just go to the General settings and review your settings under Restrictions. Once you set them to allow for changes, you should be back in business. -
