App for mass filename change

Can anyone recommend an application for making "smart" mass file name changes?
Example:
I want to find an application that will:
1. Search through file names for a year.
2. Put a particular word in front of the year (without wiping out the year).
I have Massreplaceit, but I do not think that it would do this.
Can anyone recommend a different app?

I really need some info if there by any chance SAP has standard transaction for mass data change of internal orders (more particular, distribution rules in settlement rule section, which can be found in <b>KO02 transaction</b> ).
I am trying to change distribution rules for settlement receivers in <b>settlement rule section</b>, that is finish past distribution rules by filling TO PERIOD and TO FISCAL YEAR fields on the right of each rule, and then entering new rules (which i get from external source -flat file, ms excel, csv...).
If i wanted to import data in SAP i guess i would have to develop a Batch Input. But that would take me some time to develop because it is pretty complicated.
I found tcode KO08 but i do not really know how to use it. Maybe there is another tcode that i am not aware of?
I would appreciate any suggestions!

Hi Srilakshimi,
If you are familiar with MASS transaction, then you can modify User Responsible field for Internal Orders from transaction KOK2.
As first step you must create a selection variant in order to define which orders you want to modify. Once selection variant was created, excute transaction with it and you'll get a screen similar to MASS transaction. Select the field you want and massively replace it. Do not forget to save.

Mass filename changes using terminal? How?

I recently put a Linksys NAS on my network. Unfortunately, the EXT3 format used on the disks does not like filenames with special characters such as "/" or "?". So I cannot copy files from my PowerBook to the NAS with these characters in their names.
A search of my hard drive shows 800+ files with these forbidden characters.
Is there a way to use terminal (or any aspect of OS X) to do a mass change of these characters to a more acceptable character (i.e. changing all instances of "/" to "-")?

tcsh: Invalid null commandAh, you're using tcsh. Bad news! I'm sure it could be made to work, but I've switched to bash because it is better for this sort of stuff. Gary will tell you to switch to zsh, but for now bash will do. I just tried the command as posted and tcsh complained loudly!
First point: often when you try to copy/paste from a browser window, you get an extra space appended to the line. It often doesn't matter, but it could here (may explain the "tcsh: Invalid null command" message). So copy the commands into a TextEdit document, which you have changed to Plain Text from the Format menu. Then be sure not to include any trailing space.
Second point, we'll scrap the use of sudo since it is only your Home directory that you are interested in.
Third point: as I said, we'll use bash. The prompt will change to a '$' instead of a '%'. When you've finished, you can return to tcsh with a plain exit command.
So, copy and paste the following into the Terminal window, one line at a time, with a return after each line:

find -d ~/Documents $ -name "?" -o -name ":" $ -exec echo 'mv "{}" `echo "{}" |
sed -e "s^\?^_^g" -e "s^:^-^g" ` ' \; | sh</pre>This should work—it did for me!

How do I change the default app for opening a file;

If I right click on a file in finder, it tells me what the default app for opening the file is. it also gives me a short list of other apps.
I would like to change the defaults for several file types, and also delete one app from the short list and add a different one.
How do I do this?

You could try this:
- right-click (tap with 2 fingers on the apple trackpad) on a file you want to open in openoffice
- move the cursor over "open with". You should see the default app, then some suggestions, then app store, then at the end, "other...". Select "other..."
- find openoffice in your applications folder and select it (if it is dimmed, change "enable: " from "recommended applications" to "all applications", then you can select "openoffice")
- check "always open with"
- then, click "open". The file will open in openoffice and from now on, openoffice will be the default application to open the type of file you just opened. You should also see the icon of all files of the same type change to the openoffice file icon.
This is supposed to work, but that's not always the case, especially when the default app happens to be an Apple app. If you don't want to use that Apple app, delete it (or move it elsewhere if you want a backup). That can help.

I installed the new firefox 4 browser today. In the description about the new app tab the following feature is claimed:
"Links to new websites open in a new tab so that your App Tab doesn't change."
This doesn's seem to work for me. When I click a link in an app tab i just get redirected and my app tab changes. Is this a bug or a setting?

Yes it is Possible. But, not thru any Mass Transactions.
You need to Perform a BDC for ME12. Go to ME12 and Select Conditions Tab and Select the Gross Price Condition and Click on remove Line and Create New Gross Condition with New Price and Per Unit.

You have to delete the iCloud account but you can keep all your data such as Contacts, Calendars etc. when you delete the account you will prompted to "Keep on my iPhone".
All your purchased content (like apps and music from iTunes Store) belongs to the original ID and you have to re-Purchase them under your Apple ID.
Photos in Camera Roll remains in Camera Roll.
Photos in photo stream that are not in Camera Roll must be saved in Camera Roll.
Photo that previously synced from iTunes remains in photo library until you synced with another iTunes library (another computer).
Also sign out from iMessages, FaceTime and Home sharing (Settings>Music)

RE_RHTRANS0 usage for mass language key changes

Hello,
Does anyone know if it is possible to use RE_RHTRANS0 for mass language key changes, i.e. to have it as a background job?
I tried to execute RHTRANS0 or RHTRANS0_NO_ALV in the background, but the translation record is not getting created. I think because report output requires an additional manual step to select a row and save. Is there a way to skip this step and automatically change language key for all records in the output?
