App für windows sufrace tablet
wo finde ich eine app für surface rt?
Go to the Start screen.
Tap/click the Store tile (green tile).
Find Adobe Reader Touch in the "Top free apps" section or search "PDF reader" in the Windows Store.
Adobe Reader Touch is a Windows Store app with "Modern" UI (which opens full screen by default).
Please note that Adobe Reader XI (desktop app with classic UI) is not compatible with any devices running the Windows RT operating system.

HT201272 Download apps/games to the Dell Venue 8 Pro (Windows based tablet)
My daughters each received a Dell Venue 8 Pro (windows based) tablet for Christmas. I was told that the iTunes apps and games can be transferred to this tablet. I am having trouble doing this. I can pull up the iTunes accounts with all the apps online, but not play or use them on the tablet itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome to Apple Support Communities
That's normal. You can use your Windows tablets with Windows 8.1 to store your device data with iTunes, but you cannot use iPhone and iPad apps. They are designed to run only in iPhones, iPads and iPods touch with iOS, not in computers -

An app for Windows 8 or Windows Phone 8 does not exist. I have asked Verizon about this a number of times and have been ignored. The only positive of this is that the Android and IOS apps are all buggy, so it's highly likely that we're only missing out on another buggy app for the Windows platforms. -
Windows 8 Tablet / Touchscreen - On Screen Keyboard shortcut missing on Desktop
Hi
On a windows 7 tablet, on the desktop, if I clicked a field (e.g. in Windows Explorer) a small keyboard icon appears with a shortcut to the on-screen-keyboard (OSK).
On windows 8, this no longer appears. Instead you have to click the field, then select the OSK from the taskbar, and then click back in the field before typing.
Technical Stuff:
So far we've found that in Windows 8 there is no 'Options' window for the Input Keyboard in the Taskbar. In Windows 7 there WAS an 'Options' window which included the setting "For tablet pen input, show the icon next to the text box". This setting controlled
the shortcut icon that appears when you click in a field, and changes the following setting in the registry: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\TabletTip\1.7\ShowIPTipTarget. This setting does not appear in the registry on a Windows 8 machine and adding it in makes no
difference.
Rant:
Within 5 minutes of issuing a new Windows 8 tablet this problem was noticed by the end user, rendering the device almost useless if you want to work at any pace - and it was promptly handed back. Very frustrating and annoying as this feature appears
to have been removed. With Windows 8 pitched directly at the tablet market, surely this setting is in there somewhere - I can't think of any reason why it would be removed.
Any help much appreciated,
AndrewI fully agree with ssxIdent and all other posters who find the new touch keyboard rather dumb.
There is no point in explaining why MS has decided to do things this or that way and what philosophic reasons they can come up with. MS needs to understand that software has to be accepted by the users and should not irritate them.
But this is irritating.
I thought one of the main concerns of MS was to be as intuitive as possible and provide a most satisfying user experiance - this is definetly not.
Has anyone at MS ever tried to e. g. rename several files in a directory with the touch keyboard? Especially when you get to the bottom of the screen. Then you not only need to have show/hide the keyboard permanently, you even have to bother moving it or
resize the window. That is NO GOOD USER EXPERIANCE!
I'd find it intuitive, if there was a way for developers in WPF or in Windows Forms to tag any UI element if it
Needs a keyboard (making the touch keyboard appear automatically) or
Would like a keyboard (showing a symbol next to the box, just like the X in WindowsStoreApps.TextBox, to trigger the keyboard or make it pop up automatically, if the keyboard had an option that can be set by the user to respond to these UI elements) or
Can have a keyboard (behaviour as is now)
Once an application was built this way, users would intuitively be able to navigate through their beloved apps haveing the keyboard at hand when they will need it anyway, being able to access it just with a twitch of the hand if they want it and not being
annoyed by it when they normally would not need it AND not being annoyed by permanently having to show/hide/show/hide that dratted thing by making miles of hand movement for nothing.
For applications that are not tailormade this way some options to adjust the keyboard behaviour would help, too. Just provide an option to hook the keyboard to any focus change, and give users a selection of options to what major control types the keyboard
should respond. For geeks you could even provide white list where they can add the GUIDs for classes the keyboard should show up automatically, a black list where the keyboard has to disappear and a gray list where the keyboard comes up on enter and disappears
on leave.
Some other thing I'm not happy with:
I know Modern UI came somehow via Windows Phone 7, but our tablets, touch enabled laptops, ... are no telephones, so why has the touch keyboard numpad have the "1" at the top left corner and not at the bottom left like every other hardware keyboard
or even the MS Windows OSK???????? In this point I contradict the explanation in the otherwise quite interesting article about the
Design Concept because typing in numbers has more often to do with maths than with telephoning or switching TV channels. And calculators have the 1,2,3 in the bottom row, as have HW keyboards. The other misconception lies therin that you don't need to find
1,2,3 quicker with your eyes when you are typing lots of numbers e. g. into spreadsheets. The fingers of HW keyboard, calculator or cash register users are so used to the conventional position of the digits that won't be easy to reshape. Additionally when
typing in quantities of numbers right handed users (90% of world population) will have the hand rest on the keyboard, the thumb on 0 and index finger, middle finger, ring finger doing their respective columns low value low down, high value high up. Who
is dialing phone numbers or changing TV channels this way? But what will users do more often with the numpad - especially when dealing with loads of input data?
Why can we not at least have digits on the alpha keyboard like on Android with long press on "Q"="1" ... "P"="0"? Password policy sometimes forces you to add digits in a PW, calling for switch alpha/num/alpha/num which
is annoying, too! Even with the peek thingy, since you need two hands.
Why is there no indication what special characters are hidden behind a long press? It's possible when you press Ctrl, despite most people already knowing what Ctrl+C means. e. g. where is the paragraph sign "§"on the touch keyboard? Or have
you left it out, so lawyers can't sue you for developing this touch keyboard ;-) You have added a set of emojos, but forgotten to put a character on that is on virtually any other keyboard??? Rather give us a layer user/developers could fill with their own
set of special characters and swap the Ctrl hints for a special character preview.
When I have my keyboard docked I can split the alpha key gaining access to the ODD numpad in the middle, but why can I not have the numpad when the alpha stays unsplit in the middle having a big black block to its left and right - there was space, why have
you not used it properly??? Nevermind feeling crowded, as mentioned in the article, give us an checkbox in keyboard options than we can decide if we want it or not. Since the article argues that users tend to get comfortable with the keyboard after a while
and needn't look at it, this "over crowded" feeling would fade away just the same. Or you might even dim it a bit when there is no finger near it.
Where are the Fn keys? Give us an option - we'll decide if we want it e. g. on the left side of the alpha block. Just as with numpad this could be dimmed, too.
I'd have a lot more suggestions to throw into this, but I fear you'll not even pick up on the easiest or most fundamental ones.
Prove me wrong! Please do! I dare you!!! -
[Discussion] Will you use Metro apps more in Windows 10?
With Windows 10 we will be able to run Metro apps in windowed mode on the desktop.
Now for those who tried the Windows 10 Technical Preview, I had a few questions to start a discussion.
Will this change the way you think about Metro apps?
Will you use Metro apps more? If yes, which ones would you use?
Do you think they can replace desktop apps in Windows 10?
To start, I never used Metro apps really besides running them in splitscreen mode with my desktop apps in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. I use mostly PDF Reader, Facebook and the Mail app. The Mail app is really my favorite app. Because you can sync all your accounts in one mail program. Plus it's tablet-friendly. I have currently 3 mail accounts synced with Mail (Metro app).
Now with Windows 10 I will finally be able to open Metro apps at any given time without them getting in the way of all other apps that are running.
Something else why I prefer Metro apps is that we finally have a design which we have to follow or aim for. Something I hate is that every app tries to look unique. Some look very stylish, others look very primitive. But with Metro apps there is a standard where every app looks roughly the same but may differ in functionality. Metro apps work on both tablets and desktops. While desktop apps are not guaranteed to be tablet-friendly with their tiny controls.

Twitter: @jonashendrickxHello,
I mainly exist in a "classic" Desktop (Win32) Windows world, so my use of Modern Windows apps is fairly limited.
That said, with the ability to run Modern Windows apps in a windowed (e.g., non-full-screen) mode and, of course, the continued release of additional apps, I expect to be running more of them over time.

Packaging applications for Windows 8 tablets
Hello,
Is it possible to package and distribute Windows 8 applications to tablets? The application I need to deploy will be an in-house application. We have SCCM 2007 SP2, the source
will be given as .APK file.
Please guide me on how this can be packaged and deployed from SCCM 2007 SP2 (4.00.6487.2000)
Thank you! With ConfigMgr 2007, no not possible with the built-in toolset. You could probably do it by using a PowerShell cmdlet though as at the end of the day ConfigMgr simply delivers the files you specify and runs the command you give it.
With ConfigMgr 2012, yes with caveats.
First, define "tablet"? ConfigMgr manages operating systems, not hardware so tablet is meaningless. Thus, what OS are you talking about? Windows 8.x or Windows RT?
For Windows 8.x, yes, ConfigMgr 2012 SP1 will natively deploy modern apps. For Windows RT, you need to integrate Intune into ConfigMgr and then you can deploy modern apps to them as well.

Window XP Tablet PC Display Control - Brightness
I am developing an application for Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition. It will be used in both normal and total darkness environments alternatively. In order not to destroy user's night vision when user switch room condition, I need a to quick way to adjust display brightness. Since the target machine model like most tablet PCs doesn't have a hardware brightness control, I need a one-button control to switch display brightness. Can anyone advise how this can be achieved?
ThanksWell, what is the point of this in your app? This will be an issue, presumably, for any application. If this is an issue, how is that the OS doesn't have a means to do this? And if there were a light sensor to detect room brightness to adjust the display automatically (I've no idea, but it's not impossible), it'd be a moot point anyway (the user should configure that).
To do it, you need to use JNI, most likely, to call native APIs for this, which means you need to go to MS website and look up what the API calls are. This is Windows programming stuff, not Java. Java's not going to provide some way for brightness control. -
Developing apps for all windows desktop OS's
I want to develop an app in VS 2012 for windows 8 (windows store apps),
but i have some questions and doubts that needs to be put to rest by your advice
1. Any app created in this IDE will it work on windows xp, vista and above?
2. If yes, what is the work around it for it to work on all windows platform?
3. If no, should i use win forms to develop the app i.e VS 2012 for windows desktop?
4. if i use VS 2012 for windows desktop (winforms) will be deployable on windows 8-8.1?
Thank you in advance and reply soon
Jayjay johnWindows Store Apps are only supported in Windows 8 and later (depending on what OS you target - Windows Store Apps can be targeted to 8.0 or 8.1 and likely 10 soon). They won't be able to work on Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. There is no workaround - users
need at least Windows 8.
You could use Win Forms or WPF in order to develop Desktop Applications. Desktop Applications are still supported on Windows 8 and later. They don't however support Windows RT tablets, Windows Phones or the Xbox One. -
Windows 10 Tablet - Good or bad
I installed the Windows 10 upgrade on my Surface Pro 2 the night before last. So far, I am really liking it. It allows me to switch between tablet and desktop mode with the addition or removal of my keyboard.
When I transition to tablet mode, my start menu turns into a smart screen and I can see all my apps right there, and on my task bar the search bar disappears and the icons get a little more spaced apart so I can click on them easier.
It's such a minimal thing but I love the task view icon; it really makes switching between screens a breeze.
Overall, I'm really happy with it. My Surface was the one device that I didn't mind having 8.1 on, so I am greatly relieved that the Windows 10 tablet mode worked out for me.I am curious to know how windows 10 works on a tablet compared to windows 8.1. I have been running the insider version of windows 10 for months, but since I use my tablet for a few important things, I didn't want to try it out on it.
Personally I am happy with the way windows 8.1 runs on my little Dell Venue, but I also like the way windows 10 works on my desktop and laptop. I have heard that they have removed some features from 10 that I enjoy in windows 8, such as swipe to change apps, but I am not positive of this.
Can anyone tell me what the pros and cons are on a touchscreen tablet with windows 10 vs. windows 8.1 before I upgrade it?
Thanks for the help!

Content and Apple IDs -
Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID. -

FaceBook Forum For SCCMI just noticed the same. Looking at the following error message it seems to do a version check and based on the results of that check I would think that it's not supported yet.
System.ArgumentException: User agent string ("Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.4; Win64; x64; Trident/7.0; MSAuthHost/1.0; rv:11.0) like Gecko") does not contain match for Windows version regex pattern ("Windows NT (?<Version>6\.2|6\.3)").

IDT HD Audio stuttering 3d apps/games/tf2 - Windows 7 x64 - Pavilion dv7-4113tx
As per the rules I need to state:
I am a HP employee, my views/opinions/etc are my own and do not represent those of HP.
This is cross-posted from freezes/lockups.
I would file some sort of bug report - but I wouldn't know where to start, I don't work in an area that has anything to do with manufacturing HP products; and this is my free time now and I don't have intranet access .
I recently picked up a HP Pavilion dv7-4113tx Entertainment Notebook PC [ XV780PA ] for my personal use and overall it's been pretty good. It comes with windows 7 Home Premium x64 bit.
there is however an issue that I must bring up in regard to gaming, or i would assume any intensive 3d application, most notably Valve games, my test of choice is Team Fortress 2.
The game will work fine in native resolution - I get around 100-120fps but about every 30 seconds - 2 minutes, there is a audio/video stutter (by stutter, it will repeat the last .5 seconds of audio about 3-4 times in a loop while the screen will freeze on where the first audio stutter started), which will cause the game to 'freeze' for approximately 2 seconds and then continue where you left off.
Team fortress 2 is an incredibly time critical multiplayer online game, and this delay essentially means my e-death on multiple occasions.
I initially thought it was the graphics card, or the drivers - I upgraded the drivers to the latest on the ATI site, that increased my fps, but the stuttering was still there. After searching around on the internet a bit, i found a suggestion to disable the audio driver (device manager lists it as - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC) as a test - so I did so.
The game purrs like a kitten - absolutely no stuttering. my score went up immediately
So, my next step was to try and get some Updated Drivers for the IDT Audio device (note, i cannot find a model name anywhere in the hp specs - or on the internet really) - I found out IDT themselves cannot release drivers, that these can only be obtained through OEMs.
which brings me to here.
now - the closest I have found to the drivers I required are here: IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver for Microsoft Windows 7
Note: - it says on the page that they are 32 bit drivers - but I've found they work with the 64 bit version of windows.
these worked a little better - it fixed another annoying issue - the fact if you use the volume controls in a fullscreen application that it will switch back to the desktop to display the on screen slider bar of the volume going down (which was arguably redundant as windows 7 displays the speaker volume in the bottom right hand corner) - and it just turns the audio down as intended.
however - the stuttering is still very noticeably present .
I then tried to use the HP Support assistant to run automated diagnostics and troubleshoot... which then downloaded the old drivers that gave me that fullscreen volume control issue back again - so i assume the original drivers.
So I installed the other drivers again.
My next test will be to use an external USB or firewire soundcard to see if this will allow me have games with sound.
Can an appropriate agent at HP please address this concern and notify when this bug will be fixed - IDT says they work with OEM's to fix issues regularly on the IDT link above.
I believe this is such an issue that will likely require a bug fix.Hi ozDerek,
