App has been "In Review" for 3 days with no update
I have submitted 2 apps to the app store for approval. My first app changed to "in Review" around 1am on Friday. My 2nd app went into "in review" Sunday Evening and was approved with in a few hours. So not sure why the first app is still waiting to be approved after so long.
Anyone have any ideas what could be the delay, its not a complicated app. Not sure if I am able to contact apple regarding this? Get the feeling someone has forgotten to update it
Did this app have more than one in-app purchase? Perhaps 4 or more?
From personal experience, 1 in-app purchase gets approved in around 2-3 hours. 2 in-apps get around 1.5 days and 4 in-apps in 3+ days.
Could just be coincidence. Just throwing it out there.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

I bought several episodes of a tv show on iTunes. I downloaded all but one using wifi. I watched one and then deleted it to make room. I started downloading the last episode (I am now using AT&T not wifi), it just says waiting - been like this for 3 days. I tried tuning my iPad off and on, but it will not start downloading. The settings show therein room to download. Help.

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

When I click on Firefox Icon to open browser a window opens that says..Firefox has had a problem and has crashed.It says a report will be sent to Mozilla and problem will be fixed when Firefox is closed,(It never opened),I click on close Firefox and it says a report is being sent.Then a few seconds later it says...Report successfully sent and closes.It also asked if I want Mozilla to contact me about this report,I checked yes and have recieved nothing.I WANT MY FIREFOX..This has been going on for since Nov.30th.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

Hi, I have an iMac that is about 2006/2007. We have enough memory and storage capacity, so I bought Lion 10.7 (we currently have 10.6.8 Mountain Lion). The reason we are updating is that we have a new printer (just purchased), will only accept 10.7 and higher.
The email with the redemption code was sent through, and that was all fine. But every time I go to actually redeem the code and get the software, it comes up with the message:
"This item is being modified. Try again later."
It's been like this for three days now, I've tried off and on.
The support phone numbers are fine, but they are closed, and would really like to get this resolved.
Any help/ideas would be most appreciated.

So let's think about what we do know. Apple is one of the largest tech companies in the world. They have access to whatever technology exists, and more. Does it make ANY sense that they would be having a problem like this...with these TWO software products...and it's taken more than a week to fix? Does it? What does that make you conjecture? -
My ipad automatically tried to update skype. It has been installing for 3 days and the message waiting is on the icon. I am unable to delete skype to try and re install. I have gone to the licence page but there is nowhere that I can agree the terms as it is still trying to load.
delete the app on itunes (on PC) then download it again.

Trouble updating apps already downloaded. It says it is updating, but I cannot use the app , and it has said that for three days. Also have tried downloading new apps. They appear on the iPad, but they are dark and saying downloading. How do I cancel or get them to go thru?
Use iTune (computer) to update the apps. When completed, sync to iPad.

IBooks has been on "Install" for 4 days
After upgrading iPhone 4 to new OS, all apps installed ok except iBooks. Has been running on "Installing" in App Store for at least 3 days. Any fixes for this? If not, how do I uninstall, the reinstall?

See #C2 in the Troubleshooting Tip for an explanation of those two messages. Something abnormal has caused them (as explained there, once they start, you'll see them, and a long "preparing" phase, until a backup completes successfully).

What do you mean by that? Below what? Is there another message after the "deep traversal"? If so, what?
UPDATE: While I was writing this I was running repair disk on my external time machine drive. It says "invalid sibling link" followed by "Rebuilding Catalog-B Tree". I'm not sure what this means but it has a few minutes left on it so I'll repost if it's able to repair.
If DU can't repair it, run it again (and again) until it either fixes everything or can't fix any more. If it can't fix them all, post back and we'll go farther.
You might as well be warned, your drive may be failing. They all do, sooner or later.
