App icons not showing up after downloading?

Why do my app icons not show up on my iPad2? I have purchased the apps on my iPad directly. Also, I know they are there because when I search it finds them and then I can open and run them.

Could the Apps be on the second page of Apps? From your Home page, wipe across from right to left to scroll to page 2.
If that is the problem, press and hold on the icon. When it starts to wiggle, you can drag it back to the first page. This can also be done from iTunes when the iPad is selected.

I just updated my 3GS to 4.2.1 and now none of my apps are showing up.
They are clearly still on the phone because I can use the search function and find them but the icons are all gone.

Apps no longer showing up after download

I have quite a few apps on my Touch (165). The last three that I have downloaded through the device have loaded (I can do a search and find them), but they are not showing up anywhere on the Touch itself. I even tried hooking it up to my PC and redownloading them and still they are not showing up.
Any suggestions? Is there a limit to the number of pages you can have on a Touch?

I believe 11 pages is all the touch will show. Might want to remove a few apps...

Apps icon not showing that updates are available

I was my understanding that when updates were available, the Apps icon was supposed to display the number, in red, similar to email and chat, etc. However, the number displays only after I enter the Apps store. Is this the way it's supposed to work? Is it a bug? Anyone else having this problem?

Just going to the App Store triggers it for me so I never go to any "check for updates" option. I go to the App Store quite often so I generally am notified pretty quickly on new versions of apps.

Firefox icon not showing up after installing and...

I installed Firefox and there is no icon for it. I must manually enter "firefox" in the terminal. Also, when I run the java command, it says it cannot be found. I just installed java from the AUR package. Also, how do I make files without an extension run in the terminal or be sh by default?

That will mark the file as "executable" as you say. Also, by default Gnome will prompt you on whether or not to run a script like this -- offering to execute it, execute it in a terminal or display its contents. I am not certain but I THINK that default process can be changed in the settings of Nautilus to do something by default -- like display in a text editor (gEdit) or run the script.
YMMV on this as I am not at my box, to confirm any of this.

The Music Icon App is not showing under use cellular data.
When I go to settings, cellular the Music Icon is not listed. I cannot turn on use cellular data for itunes for my music in itunes match. How do I get the icon listed there.

There should be an entry in that section for iTunes, which includes both the iTunes Store and iTunes Match:
Set when cellular data is used for apps and services. Go to Settings > Cellular, then turn cellular data on or off for any app that can use cellular data. If a setting is off, iPhone will use only Wi-Fi for that service. The iTunes settings include both iTunes Match and automatic downloads from the iTunes Store and the App Store.

Mission Control Only Showing App Icons, NOT Windows

I just purchased a new MacBook Pro Retina and am noticing a bug with Mission Control. When I go to Mission Control to see all of the different windows I have open, it's showing just the app icons, NOT the actual app windows. This occurs sporadically; sometimes it works properly, and sometimes it doesn't. I actually realzied the same issue on my MacBook Pro (2009) after upgrading to Mountain Lion a few weeks ago, therefore it seems to be an OS issue and not a HW issue.
Here is a screen shot of what I see when Mission Control is not working properly:
Instead of those icons, it should be showing the actually windows within those apps that I have open.
Any ideas?

I have this problem too and would love a solution...when it happens to me it only seems to be on one of my spaces, if I use gestures to get to another space Mission Control" works fine on a different space, but if I go back to the original space it stops working..I have found a fix, which is just move the active window slightly, yep, that actually works, and then Mission Control starts working again...it's weird...would still love to know what causes it, even though the fix is an easy one...
Just on the safari comments above, I have noticed this happens when one of the tab has "reader" activated...turning of 'reader' seems to fix the issue with safari...

After updating to IOS7, my apps are not showing up on screen. They appear in the App Store under purchased, and open when I press the "open" button. How cai I get the icons back on the screen?

I think I am having the same problem.
After updating to iOS 7, a couple of my Purchased apps have icons on my iPhone 4S screen, and some of my Purchased apps do not. If I go to App Store/Updates/Purchased, all the apps I Purchased show up, even the ones I deleted from my phone (before and after the upgrade).
All of my active apps have the "Open" button next to it. But how do I get the active-apps-that-aren't-showing-on-my-phone to show up on my phone?
I haven't found any Apple support string that talks about this and it's frustrating. My commonly used apps are no longer easily accessible, which is counterproductive.

I have the BIG DOG 16 gig iPhone and I am only limitted to 9 pages of APPS.
For what I PAID for this GREAT Phone, there should be NO LIMIT as to how many APPS. that I can download until and UNLESS my memory is FULL, which it is NOT even half full yet.
APPLE: Please change this LIMITATION, because there seems to be thousands of APPS. to choose from. Just as you have NO-LIMIT on the number of songs that I can download, I would like it to be the SAME for my APPS.

Some of my iphone apps do not show up in my iphone after sync

There are some apps that do not show up after i click the sync button. At the top of the itunes window where it shows the status, it says syncing iphone then it installs a 50 mb app in 0.5 seconds and then says sync again, then sync complete, ok to disconnect. When i look at my iphone, the app is not installed. This only happens to some of my apps and even some updates of the apps. Please help fin a solution to this.
Itunes version is 8.2.1.6
Iphone(3gs) os version is 3.0
hmm...You think updating it will solve the problem?

The first thing you need to do is update itunes, the current version is 9.0.3. Next, you need to update your phone, the current firmware is 3.1.3. After doing those two things, try & sync your apps. If you're still having problems, post back.

Which version did you buy on your iPad ? If you bought the HD version then that is only compatible with the iPad, so you will need to buy the iPhone/Pod version (or download the free version) if you want to use it on your iPhone.

Do you see two versions of iMovie in your Application folder?
You can drag the icons out of the dock and then drag what you want back to the dock from the Application folder.
