App installed, not visible

My "People" app is installed but I can't see it nor access. Tried reinstalling and it's already installed.

Try searching for it under Spotlight (first of Home screens).
Alternatively, try Settings, General, Reset (scroll down), Reset Home Screen Layout.

Apps are not visible on ITunes. Unable to sync or update.

Hi!
I recently reformatted my laptop. When I connected my IPhone I lost all my music and my apps. However I restored my purchased apps by downloading them directly from the IPhone. Now I'm unable to sync them through the 'Apps' section in ITunes. I'm unable to update the apps through my computer. Is there a way to resolve this? I'd like my apps to be visible on ITunes.

There is no mention of it in AppEnforce.log.
The command line used is msiexec /i "myapp.msi" /qn /norestart
I've deployed many apps and never run into this before. Anyone know what could be the problem?

Apps icons not visible

I have downloaded some apps from the store and i have synced it to the ipod touch i am not able to see the apps icons but when i search the ipod touch its there, and i am able to use the apps, how can i make the apps icons visible??

@fpschmitt I tried taking them off of the ipod and then putting them back on in the app window of the sync session. I have a feeling restore is the only thing that may help. I am hoping that it isn't a software issue. It is a ipod 3g

Wifi SSID used for install not visible

At Arch install, I could connect to my network (using wifi-menu). After reboot, a scan gives me results, but there is not my ssid.

App store not visible after ios-7 upgrade

Folks,
I recently updated my Ipad-3 to iOS-7. After the upgrade I noticed the AppStore isn't visible any more on my Ipad-3. I tried rebooting and also tried to locate using finder but the attempts were unsuccessful. Any help is appreciated.

Google maps app is not visible in app store

Hi, I am new to iOS and using a UK based factory unlock iphone 4s with iOS 7 in Pakistan. I am unable to find google maps app in app store.
If I see app from maps.google.com and tap on download, it tries to open app store but nothing happens. Is it anything to do with my apple ID or UK based store? Please suggest solution.

Why are shared files not visible when iPhone4S connected to iTunes?

What makes this problem mysterious is that I have exactly the same settings on the same or eqivalent Apps on iPad2 and iTunes4S but when my iPhone is connected to my iTunes (running on my PC under Win7) it shows no files on Apps like Pages, iBooks, Keynote, and Print-n-share. Each of these Apps has files and each shows files when I connect my iPad2. I cannot export or import filesto/from itunes and iphone because the list of files inside the Apps is not visible in itunes.
PS I CAN, btw, export and import files by using the amazing App and service "DropBox" which is the only route in and out of my iPhone (I am not ready to use iCloud).

This is not a reply but an addition. While searching for answers as to why "Shared" files in original Apps in my iPhone4S did not appear on itunes I came across a similar discussion on another Forum in which Jim described in some detail how to get the two devices (my iPhone 4S and my iPad2) to recognize similar embedded files in similar Apps. https://discussions.apple.com/message/16690584#16690584
I went through this promising procedure but it did not help. Since the two devices are independent (I think -- they are on the same accoubt but ar different devices) I should be able to make them work the same way with regard to what is seem in iTune.

HT201272 Restoring deleted app. Not working. is it hidden?

I deleted my Pinterest app but want to restore it. In he App Store list it shows up under "purchased", not "not on this iPad" as I would expect. The only option it gives is "open", as if it were still on the iPad. When I try to "open" it does nothing. The app is not visible on any of my pages. Can it be hidden? I did delete it so I wouldn't see how, but I would like to get it back.

If it shows as 'open' in the Purchased tab in the App Store app then that usually means that the app is still on your iPad - you can hide apps from the homescreen via an app age rating in Settings > General > Restrictions, but if I'm looking at the correct app then it's only rated 4+
Can you find it via the iPad's spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right) ? If not the try a soft-reset to see if you can find it, or reinstall it, after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If you can find it via the spotlight homescreen then see if it appears on the iPad's taskbar, and if it does then try closing it on there and then see if it works via the spotlight or Purchased screens : double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of that app app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.

AirPort Extreme not visible in the airport utility installed on my Imac

My AirPort Extreme is suddenly not visible in the airport utility installed on my Imac. After numerous rescans I am bordering to give up as the connection seems to be working fine when I connect it to the Imac through the ethernet cable. Any advices further than restarting the devices?

For the app Airport Utility you have to be connected to the AE wifi.
If you are not talking about the AU App, but the Airport Antenna you can do following:
disconnect AE form power, wait 10-15 seconds, turn off the Airport Antenna in your mac. Then connect the AE to power, wait till it is fully started, then turn the Airport Antenna to on again.

CS3 Postscript fonts not visible when Installed with Suitcase 11.0 Vista Ult64

CS3 Postscript fonts not visible when Installed with Suitcase 11.0 on Vista Ultimate 64bit.
Truetype and Opentype work fine. I have searched through all the forums here multiple times, but not found a solution. The only workaround I found was to manually put the font files in c:/ProgramFiles(x86)/CommonFiles/Adobe/Fonts.
When I put any font files in that folder, they show up in CS3 for use, but not in windows apps. I thought I would make a permanent work around by placing all of my uninstalled font files in that folder, then use suitcase to install them from there. That didn't work because EVERY font in that folder is available to CS3 and turned on. Do they get installed when you put them in there?? It didn't seem like they were installed, and windows apps didn't see them.
These are workarounds anyway. My main goal is to have suitcase work so I can organize my fonts efficiently. Extensis blames the font and CS3. I have read that there are adobe issues with other font management software as well as suitcase. Any help would be appreciated.

Got mine FIXED here is what i did:
Windows 7 64bit SP1, CS 5
Postscript fonts (comprising of *.pfb + *.pfm files) did not show up in any CS5 app, but showed OK in Word, Excel, Notepad etc.
Tried activating through Suitcase Fusion 2 and also through FontExpert 2009 - but neither of them made the fonts visible in CS5 apps
1) open Start Menu/Control Panel/Fonts
2) on the sidebar there is "Font settings" item
3) set the settings as i did
[ ] Hide fonts based on language settings
[ x ] Allow fonts to be installed using a shortcut (advanced)
FIXED mine,
now i can use Suitcase Fusion 2 to install any PFB/PFM fonts without any problems...

PowerView report not visible in Excel web App

Created a report using PowerView in Excel 2013 but it is not visible when i am viewing in Excel Web App?
Is there any settings we need to enable?

Good question. This is something that's really hard to find an answer to in the docs. But as far as I can tell, you need SQL 2012 sp1 Enterprise or BI edition. Also, SSRS will have to be installed and configured in SharePoint integrated mode. Also, Excel
services will need to be configured to be used, not Excel Web apps.
For me, part of the confusion comes from the fact that there are actually several versions of Power View, and the docs are not always clear which version they're referring to, so my answer might be wrong.

ITunes showing app installed, but, it's not installed..

Kind of a weird issue I've never seen before... But... I did a fresh restore of my iPhone 4.. I've selected a bunch of apps that I want installed on my iPhone and some just aren't showing up in the iPhone at all..
This is where it gets weird.. If I look at the app icon preview thing in iTunes it shows it on the phone, but, on the phone there is no icon. I've tried rebooting (both phone and computer) closing in and out of iTunes and it still appears this way. Oddly enough, even if I unplug my iPhone and plug it back into iTunes, the app preview shows the specific app as installed even though it's not visible (or searchable) on my iPhone.
Anyone else see this issue?

We had this problem, and it was mystifying me. Finally figured it out:
Do you have restricitons on with your phone and is the app for an age range outside those restrictions?
We had trouble installing Kik (an instant messaging app), and we figured out that the app is rated for 17+. I had set his app restriction to 12+. I guess he earned enough of my trust to upgrade the restriction.... voila! Now the app is visible!
Hope this helps some parent out there who was beating their head against the wall to solve this problem.
