I am new to this forum, currently I am learning Oracle APPs, I have practicing Conversion In this I am doing Item Import Project. I have done all the process of conversion like from flat file to staging table using sqlldr, then validation of data after successfully completed I started Interface. I want to add a quantity to my items. steps >

Parts Requirement Order stuck in Transaction Interface with the error
" No open period found for date entered
No open period found for date entered
Transaction processor error
No open period found for date entered
No open period found for date entered
Transaction process".
Details are as follows:
Transaction is Done on 30-NOV-2009.
Source Org Period is open on 30-NOV-2009
Destination Org Period is closed on 30-NOV-2009.
Due to destination Org is closed, this transactions stuck in interface.
I have opened the Cost Periods (DEC Month) for both Source and Destination Org, and resubmitted all lines after updating Transaction date to 01-DEC-2009. Still transaction could not go through.
How should I handle this error?

Wrong period selection for date entered

Dear Friends,
In payslip program, I have used HR report category (X_M00002) that shows two options (radiobutton) for period selection:
1. Current Period
2. Other Period
Problem is that when I enter other period as 01.2007 it displays salary slip of February 2007 instead of April 2007 though the period in selection screen on pressing the enter key shows 01.04.2007-30.04.2007.
This is a copy of another program which shows correct payslip for selected period.
What could the possible error be?

Open/close line for data input depending on characteristic value

Hi,
assume we have an input ready query linked to an analysis item.
material qty
1            100
2              50
3              70
How can we achieve that only the line 2 is open for data input by the user
and the other lines 1/3 are closed.

Hi,
You can use data slice for this. Activate the data slice for sl no 1 and 3 and the appln will not allow you to enter for these records.
Data slice can be made dynamic to activate/deactive as per your requirement.

This is something that's happened for the second time now, not sure what's going on. Ipad 2 wifi only, iOS 8.1.3 at the occurrence today, unsure of version the first time.
This was away from home, no internet connection. Apps would try to launch, would show a logo screen for a second, then go back to the home screen. 2 hours previous it had been working fine. I force-closed apps, hard-reset the ipad, didn't help. I could not try to delete and re-download because I had no internet connection. I turned the ipad back off, irritated, thinking I was going to have to restore or something when I got home. But when I got home, the apps started opening normally, and I shrugged it off as a glitch.
Today, it does the same thing again. Middle of the day, I turn on the ipad, and apps crash at launch. When I got home this time, on trying to open an app, it sticks at the launch, then asks for my iTunes login. I think 'what the ****?' but I log in, and then the app opens fully. What the heck happened here?

App Loader tell me "No New found for this device" or something like that

I've been going around and around with this issue - I know that in addition to the DM, I need tohave the OS installed on my laptop. So, I've installed, uninstalled, etc.., etc, deleted teh Vendor xml. pulled the battery and put it back in - still get the message - So, I've bought software, unzipped it into a folder, and the app loader still doesn't "see" the .alx file.
Any ideas?????

Blocking long text change if open PR and open PO found for material

Dear SAP MM Gurus,
Our client is having one requirement. Their requirement is like this,
If there is any open PR, PO, contract etc. for a material , system should not allow to change the long text of the material.
Is there any way out. Any user exit or BADi, which will trigger on the long text change of material master then please let me know.

Specifying what app is used to open a link for PDF

Hi,
I am trying to make a link to a file open up in Adobe Acrobat Reader and not in any other app like IE etc....
Is this possible to do regardless of what other defaults the users computer has...

Hi there
If there's a way to control that, I'm unaware of it. It's been my experience that it's the same behavior you see when opening a new window. Unless you are using JavaScript, it's totally dependent on the configuration of the viewer's PC as to whether the new window is spawned or whether they just get a new tab in the browser.

FI - Restrict Open periods

I am implementing FICO and we already have deployed FIGL in our company. I need to restrict open periods from displaying. I am not sure whether I should restrict at the extraction or bring in the open periods and restrict based on T001B table in ECC which stores the open and closed periods at a given point. looking for the best solution if someone has implemented this.

Hi,
BI system is a common system used for reporting the R3 system data. Hence it is always advisable to pull all the data to BI and at report level you can filter on those data.
In the Reporting cube level add a field called ZPeriod apart from 0FISCPER you have , Add an attribute Validity to this Zperiod infoobject maintain them with status fields like O for Open Periods C for Closed Periods.
In the report restrict the Validity field with C for getting only closed periods data.
ZPERIOD infobject has to updated with status daily from T001b from ECC system so that attribute will always have correct periods and their validity status. This is a good and dyanmic method of solution which can be used at report level.
All these loads automate thro process chain so that no manual activity will be available.
Dont go for filtering of data and if some other users need FIGL data as of today for validating or tallying it becomes difficult.

OIC Error - Processed date must be within open periods

We have setup the GL Calendar as well as the periods in the GL. We are still facing this problem.
In the compensation manager responsibilty in Manage Transacations --> Create The error mentioned in the snapshot occurs while creating the new manual transaction.Though we have setup the primary ledger, the accounting calculator as well as the open periods and the date being selected in the Processed Date is within the open period specified as shown in the snapshot but still we are facing this error A tip for this could be that how will we know that our Operating Unit is attached to that particular ledger. If we can confirm that the OU selected in the snaphot is associated to the ledger for which we have defined the open period.
Any help will be much appreciated

Please post the complete/exact error message you get along with the navigation path to reproduce the issue.

I am getting the below error when I try to run the HcmCompWorkbenchWorkarea.jspx in the Fusion COmpensation Module, locally from the JDeveloper Customization Role.
I simply created a FUsion Customization APplication with a Customization,Model and View COntroller Projects without doing any customizations and was just trying to run the above page.
I have never encountered this type of error before. Any help would be helpful.

Thanks, that did help and it was throwing similar errors for other jar files, which I added and now the page opens.
But the issue that I am facing now is on this page there is a Manager Search, wherein I can proxy a manager.
This Search popup is not returning any values. Previously if I reinstalled my system-jazn-data.xml file from my colleauge
and rebooting my laptop worked. But now even that doe snot help.

What is the opening period and where can i set the parameter for each entity?

Hi Dirk,
Opening period is normaly used for carry forward rules, but you get this warning in currency conversion also.
You can set the parameters for Opening Period in the CATEGORY Dimension.
First Parameter is OPENING_PERIOD : if its blank it uses the last month of a year (=> DEC if you use calendar year)
Second Parameter is OPENING_YEAR: blank means previous year (same as inserting -1)
This means, if you calculate budget for the whole year or a month in 2009, Opening Period is 2008.DEC.
If you dont have any rates in Time = 2008.DEC;Category=Budget (for each of your specific rates) you will get this warning.

Hi,
I am using R12.1.1 version.
I am getting this error "The GL date is not in an open period: APP-PO-14230" when i open the "Inventory > Transactions > Receiving > Receipts" screen for the Intransit shipment.
The Accounting calendar period (DEC -2011) is opened in both source & destination organisation.
When i try to check the " General Ledger > Setup > Open/Close" screen, it asking the Ledger value to find out the periods.
If i entered my primary ledger name on this field, its not matching.
How to resolve this error.
I am functional person. I dont have rights to see any database table levels.
Please help me. Thank you in advance.
