App is there but won't work

I recently purchased Things app and was working fine, until last night I ran the update and now it has stopped working. It is there but can't access it. I had wondered whether it was due to the fact that I haven't go the new operating system for the I phone.
Can I delete and then install again without charge? I contacted Things support, but no contact as yet

You can delete/reinstall at no cost. Easier to do it via iTunes: hook up the phone, go to the Applications tab, uncheck Things and sync. Then check it, and sync again

  • Apps are there but won't run

    I have a 3g (not "s") phone. Just upgraded to 3.0 and the upgrade seemed to me to be pretty quick and easy to do. All contacts, mail, etc are all there and working fine (I sync with MM).
    What is not working are any of my apps (the ones you purchase, not the built in ones). If I try to start an app, I see the title page for about 1 second, then the app simply closes. I have tried checking for updates of the apps in iTunes, but they are all the latest version.
    So either, the v2.1 apps are not compatible with 3.0 (unlikely) or I've missed a step somewhere (very likely!). Any ideas?

    On the phone itself ....
    press the iTunes icon & wait for itunes to load (much slower than before)
    tap the music button (botton left corner of screen)
    try to download a song (try a free one if you have no credit in your account)
    you will be prompted for your itunes password .... enter the password
    you will then be presented with a user agreement to read and agree to. follow the screen instructions and click the agree button where needed ... you then get a screen showing the balance in your account.
    go back to the music screen and download a song to check it all works and your phone is active with your account.
    the apps should then work.

  • It's there but won't work

    Programmes which use flashplayer have started telling me I don't have it and offer download. I have tried to do this without success. I have deleted existing version and downloaded latest, no change. Adobe checker tells me I have none loaded but control panel says I downloaded latest version today. I have checked enabling in Internet Explorer and java, it's OK. Can anyone suggest remedy. Thanks Diarmid

    IE11 is most likely the culprit. Microsoft intentionally altered the ID strings for IE11 so pages can't properly recognize it. (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ieinternals/archive/2013/09/21/internet-explorer-11-user-agent-str ing-ua-string-sniffing-compatibility-with-gecko-webkit.aspx) Try another browser:
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
    ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

  • Adobe App Manager installs but won't work... "Download Error, Contact Support"

    Downloaded the AAM through the creative cloud site, it installs and when run it shows this error message "Download Error, Contact Support."  I then downloaded the AAM as a package from Adobe support.  Before installing it I removed the previous install from my computer.  The program installed again but I recieved the same message.  I cannot download any apps from the Creative Cloud because of this.
    I have searched the support pages and cannot find anyone having an error message like this one.

    From the Creative Cloud web site, when I start a download of an app within one second the application manager opens and immediately gives me this error message.
    I have not been able to download anything or sign in with my Adobe ID (using AAM).  I also get this same error message if I open the AAM from my computer.

    I have an ATV2 and Airport Express connected to speakers all connected to the same network. It all works with music, but won't work with any video audio. In my ATV's settings I've selected my AirPort Express speakers. It works for music, why not everything else? Is there a fix or work around?

    Netflix is first on that list...What I mean is, if there is a feature that allows for a wireless audio connection to the Apple TV, why wouldn't the developer allow it. To keep me from enjoying a more convient connection? I can have the same listening experience on a wired connection...

    You might give VueScan a try. It should work with your scanner. There's a demo version that you can use initially.

    Well, there is nothing anyone here can do for you. Did you actually purchase it at an Apple Store, or at another retailer like BestBuy, HH Gregg, a mall kiosk, T-Mobile, AT&T, etc?
    The ONLY source for unlocked iPhones in the US is Apple. If you purchased it anywhere other than at an Apple Store, you purchased a locked phone.
    You can call AppleCare and give them the serial number of the phone to confirm the status of the lock.

    You may want to try restarting to see if that has any effect Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

    Here’s what you need to do to turn on AirPlay Mirroring on your iPad 2:
    – Have iOS 5 installed on your iPad 2
    – Make sure your Apple TV software is up-to-date. You can check for updates on the Apple TV by going to Settings > General > Update Software.
    – Have your TV turned with Apple TV active and showing.
    – Double-tap the home button on the iPad to bring up the Multitasking Bar.
    – Swipe to move to the left of the Multitasking Bar, so you can see the set of controls just to the left of the volume adjustment slider.
    – The button just to the right of the Fast Forward button – the one that has a rectangle with a solid, upward-facing arrow in it – is the AirPlay button. Tap to switch from iPad to Apple TV.
    – Once you do that you’ll see the Mirroring section appear just below the entry for Apple TV. Just tap to turn that On, and the iPad 2 will immediately begin mirroring to your TV screen.

    If the whole iPad freezes then something else is going on. Try this next. Close all apps in the recents tray and restart your iPad.
    Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
    Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

    What does the crash report say about the name of the faulting module?
    Yes, crashes like that are usually due to the video card driver. (though I was guessing from the original description that the image was just not drawing)
    Have you tried disabling GPU drawing in Photoshop before opening a document?
    Have you updated your video card driver from the GPU maker's website?

  • I can't close inactive apps - double tap home won't work

    I know how to close apps on my ipod, it just won't work.   When I double tap the home button, nothing happens - I can't get to that screen that lets me close the apps.  Any suggestions?  Thanks. 

    Did a bit more research - I guess its just normal as the 2g doesn't support multitasking so there are no apps running in the background.  Thanks IIIaass for the info about 2g vs 3g!

  • Keyboard lights up but won't work

    I have a 2010 13" MacBook Pro with the 2.66GHz processor and 4gigs of ram. Yesterday when I was using it, the screen went yellow and the fan started spinning quickly so I turned it off. Now when I restart the computer, I get to the login screen, and the keyboard is fully illuminated but I can't type anything or move the cursor with the trackpad. Even my apple wireless keyboard and magic mouse won't work even though they normally would at that login screen.
    I tried doing the apple hardware test and it said that there was no problem. The fact that I was able to hold down the 'd' key and get it to start the hardware test shows that the keyboard isn't broken, so I don't know why it isn't working.

    If ypu press and hold the power button for 5 secondsor more, Mac will shutdown.

        Choose the method for:
        "Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
    If this does not help, contact Apple.
