App just crashed now flashes "cleaning" on the names of certain apps
So I was trying to export a 10 hour video then my iPhone says "storage almost full" then the app crashes and then says "cleaning" on certain app names. Anyone have the same issue? iPhone 5s on iOS 8. Thx

Try these:
1) Double-tap the home button and press an icon at the bottom until the minus sign appears. THen touch the minus sign on all the icons to kill the apps.
2) Then, press and hold the home and power buttons for 10 seconds, until the apple appears. Allow the ipad to restart.
If the problem persists, you may need to restore the ipad from within the computer's itunes program. -

If you didn't set up Find My iPhone in the iCloud settings, then you can't. Notify the police and change the password to your Apple ID and any other online services you used from that iPhone, just as a precaution.

i was working on a project in iMovie (10.0.1) and iMovie just crashed. when i reopened it the project i was working on disappeared. in my list of projects it still says i have 3 projects but its only showing me 2. is there any way i can recover my project?? PLEASE HELP!!!
iMovie on your Mac has nothing to do with iCloud storage. Download and use Find Any File to search for your iMovie project. FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't, like invisible folders, packages and system folders. If there a file with your file name on it anywhere on the hard drive FAF will find it.
Do you have Time Machine enabled backing up to an external HD? This situation is exactly what TM is good at. It makes hourly backups so you can go back to find and restore the missing file. All HDs crash at some time or another and having a good backup strategy is the only protection against that. -

I just got my iPad 3 delivered the before yesterday and yesterday i was going though the AppStore and found some app called "performamce test and I ran the test and that apps tell me I have poor 3d perfoamce. *worried* :( I've been up since tomorrow. My albums and slideshows disappeared from the left column when I ejected a Canon camera after a download. My version of iPhoto '08 (V7.1.5(378)) had just crashed when I first connected the Canon camera to download. I restarted iPhoto.....successfully downloaded 22 photos, and ejected Canon camera, upon which albums & slideshows highlighted blue and disappeared from the left column. The photos still seem to be under the EVENTS and PHOTOS in the LIBRARY. Any thoughts?

I have an iphone 3GS, I went to back it up / update apps through my itunes. I did this, but a certain app I download wouldn't work on my phone as "my iphone software needed updating". So I did, now I can't restore & my phone shows itunes logo with plug?

Can you change the name of an app on the 4S?
Cannot find info in the manual but I thought that I read it somewhere. Is there a way to change the name of purchased apps? I know you can change folder names but what about app names?? Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance.
MikeTo the best of my knowledge you can't alter any app in any way, including the name. Not sure why you would want to do so, but you can always just delete the app and add it back without additional costs whenever you need to use it...not sure if that would address your reasoning for wanting to change the name of the app though.

I'd like to shorten the name of my app as it appears below the icon once installed on an iPad
I work for a magazine and the name of our app is the same as the name of our magazine. The trouble is that the name is a little long and it gets truncated when it is below the icon on the ios desktop once the app is installed. I'd like to shorten it to an abbreviation that makes more sense that the automatic truncation that is occuring right now. But I'd prefer not to change the name of the app in the itunes store. Is this possible?
App store name and spotlight name on the device should be as nearly similar as practical....but they don't need to be identical
The spotlght name is the bundle display name - use the 'Info' tab in code.
You'll have to update the app to get this done, so use it as a chance for any cleanup, etc. -
I have just overwritten important data, i.e. the names of those who completed the forms. I need to restore but wasn't able to 'undo'. Please help

Unfortunately, it is not possible to retrieve the deleted data. If you have made the changes to the response and closed the response window; new data must have been saved automatically. In future, if you accidentally overwrite any data; please press ctrl+z to undo the change.

IOS app just crashes without warning.
I am creating a game for the iOS (iPhone and iPad) using Flash CS5.5
The game is pretty much done, and is kind of large... so I have a sneeking suspicion that my problem could be a memory issue... but I can't be certain.
When the game launches up, according to the memory stats, it maxed about 20 megs, but after a quick garbage collection, it drops to about 13.
Now, as the level is being played, the memory goes up and up as objects (rather large custom classes consisting of MANY graphics and sub classes and sounds) are created as time goes on. I have a "object pool" in place to recycle objects and now and then the garbage collection does run and the memory will drop back down... but all in all, depending on the level and how quickly the player is playing, I've seen it peak at close to 30 megs of memory, but on AVERAGE, it's about 16 to 20
However.
At apparently completely random times, running on the iPad2, you would be playing and then all of the sudden the screen goes black and you find yourself back at the iOS desktop.
Odd...
The app is still "running" int he program list, but if you click on the app, it starts up from scratch.
Any know what could commonly cause such abnormal terminations and things I should look for in my app code?
Are there any memory limitations that I should know about... maybe the a cap on the number of objects/graphics loaded into memory at any given time...
Or could it be something entirely different?
I could really use some help on this one.

While in my system event log for an unrelated thing, I noticed a number of application errors relating to java... for a test, I completely cleared the event log, did a test publish and noticed a bran new application error.... which said this:

I have never ever had a problem with Spybot before, and I love that software, but it seems that it was interfering with Java, so I uninstalled spybot completely and then tried another test publish and low and behold, it worked!
