App Launcher Configuration?

I just got access to the new
app launcher functionality as recently announced on the Office Blog. However, I can't find any technical documentation for this feature aside from the announcement. Anyone have a link? I'm looking for info such as:
How can admins add/remove apps to/from the launcher for all users?
Can an app be added to the launcher based on context? For example, if someone is in a particular site collection?
Can an app be added based on a user's permissions or group membership?
Or, perhaps the answer is that there are currently no customization opportunities?

    am getting the following error after CIO object is created, while trying to start the configuration, at cioObject.startConfiguration(cp,context). The hostName, portNumber and dbcFileName are correctly provided.

    Looks like the parameters passed in the constructor call are not valid ones and hence the database connection is not getting done.
    Context context = new CZWebAppsContext("hostName","portNumber","dbcFileName");
    Check the above call carefully and its parameters. I guess the dbcFileName might be the reason as other 2 entries are pretty easy to know.

  • No Internet Connection Before Login Apps Launch

    I have exhausted every known procedure to try and get an internet connection before my login items (Mail App & iChat) launch.
    I didn't have this problem with my G5 w/Mac OSX 10.4.8. At startup I could watch the blue screen and startup progress bar. During the process I got an "Establishing Network Connection" message (or something similar) and then the computer would continue to boot. Mail and iChat would launch and my mail would be retrieved and I chat would become available.
    On the Pro Mac I get no notification at all on what's happening. It boots normally, Mail and iChat startup and I get a dialog box that says I'm not connected to the internet.
    Within a few seconds I can hit the 'get mail' icon and mail is then retrieved, I also have to select a "Available" from iChat to log on.
    The problem is that the internet connection is not recognized until the boot process is completed.
    Side note: At startup I get the gray screen with the Apple logo for about fifteen seconds, the screen flashes to blue and for a fraction of a second a dialog box pops-up and says "Starting Mac OS X" before my desktop appears with all my login items open. On my G5 it use to say "establishing network connection" or something similar.
    I suspect this has something to do with my problem.

    Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon
    Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 2

    I have IPv6 Address turned off. Problem persists regardless of whether this is on or off.
    I have a valid ethernet ID and is configured automatically.
    I have not modified any other setting.
    My cable modem is connected directly to the ethernet port. It's the same modem I used with the G5.
    I have discussed this with Apple's Tech Support on two occasions and they couldn't come up with a solution.
    Before I call for an appointment with my local Mac Store for a diagnostic test, I would like to hear from anyone who has had a similar problem or can provide a solution.

    Here's a theory: the Mac Pro starts up much faster than an older computer and therefore applications and system are loaded before the network has finished initializing. So perhaps that is all there is to it?
    I'm not at home right now (and therefore no access to my Mac Pro) but I will add some network-aware programs to my login and see what happens and report back.
    The suggestion to turn off automatic login is probably a good one as this will give the system more time to get the network up before apps launch.
    Alternatively, there is a program called "Lingon" that you can use to re-order the system startup items. This might be useful in changing the priority of the network/dhcp status. Again, I will look in to it at home and report back.

    Please look up for *.desktop file structure, all you need to do is create a /usr/share/applications/komodo.desktop file with the appropriate content. You can start with any other desktop file as template.

    Just enter anything short & plausible in as few fields as you can get away with : '[email protected]' works here, you'll get a brief 'not responding' or such at each stage, but it does allow you to use Mail.

  • Duplicate apps launching

    In Mavericks 10.9.5 I've been having duplicate copies of apps launching. I've noticed it w/Mail & Acrobat Pro. Don't know what causes it - can't duplicate it intentionally, just noticed that it's been happening lately.

    I got duplicate apps in iTunes too, but I'm still on 10.5. It copied everything on my iPhone 3.0.1 onto the computer when I synced this morning.
    I do sync my desktop with my 10.6 laptop, though, so there's a possible way for Snowy stuff to act up.

  • Apps launching on their own

    Today while using Net News Wire, the app crashed, and the Scrabble app launched all by itself. Has anyone else experienced this type of behavior? I can see an app crashing from time to time, but to have another one launch on its own is very weird.

    I think following the software troubleshooting path would allow you to eliminate software as a problem.  If you eliminate that, then it would have to be some hardware issue. Not sure if your phone is still under warranty, but if you can demonstrate that you've done all of the software troubleshooting you can, and you are still under warranty, you could get a replacement phone at the Genius bar.

  • Switching between apps launched through RemoteApp from Windows 2008 R2 server

    I have a problem with RemoteApp on Windows 2008 R2 Standard SP1.
    When I try to switch between apps, launched from RD Web Access web-page, it is not always succeded. Instead of it the target app blinks and I still remain at the previous app. In another words, the next app window remains behind the previous
    app window and I have to minimize the previous app before switching to the next app.
    Following the recommendations given by the TechNet Online Chat assistant, I've been installed all the available updates on that server from the Microsoft Update, but it didn't help us.
    Is there any way to resolve this trouble?

  • Air Installer app launches constantly

    Anytime I go to certain websites, the Air Installer apps launches and quits... on every page! Quite annoying and frankly this erratic behavior makes me think I need to get this AIR stuff off my computer!
    Example: http://www.tweetdeck.com/
    Clicking here or any link within the site causes the Installer app to launch and quit in the background (bounces on the dock). What's up with that?!?
    Anyone have any clues for me? I've upgraded to the latest version of AIR and it still does it.
    Convince me not to uninstall...

  • Muse Crashes - Where's the Love? App Launch Failures & Database Errors

    I really love Adobe Muse but I'm really frustrated by it's instability.
    There are two general problems that I consistently experience.
    App Launch Issues
    Firstly, and an issue I am experiencing right now is, a launch error where the program refuses to open displaying an error message then crashes immediately.
    Today's message is:
    Anyone experienced this before or have a solution? I tired signing in and out of Creative Cloud and uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Muse and same issue.
    Database Errors / Save File Errors
    I can generally expect for a Muse save file to become totally unusable for some sort of random database error totally messing up my save file making me have to step back to one I've previously saved. Just like the wii brought back load time in a serious way Adobe Muse is bringing back incremental save practices we'd all LOVE to abandon.
    Why This Sucks
    I don't do high-end web development but I offer basic sites to clients with simple needs and I find Muse to be a delightful product given my skills and base in photoshop.
    Not being able to update sites or launch the application at all is SUPER annoying.
    It certainly justifies NOT using Adobe Muse for complex sites.
    If there is a general approach I can take to avoiding these issues I'm all eyes and fingers.

    Solution for "Üser ID Mismatch"
    Please do the following steps and you will be all set.
    1. Sign out from Muse By going to Help > Sign out. (if you see the option to do that)
    2. Sign out from Creative Cloud Application. (Steps are mentioned in the link Sign out, Sign in | Creative Cloud Desktop app), then Quit Creative Cloud Application.
    3. Rename the "OOBE" folder to "OOBEold"
    MAC : (This folder can be found at Finder > Go > Go to Folder> Type ~/library/application support/Adobe > Hit return)
    Widows : ( This folder can be found at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe )
    4. Relaunch Muse, Sign in with your Adobe ID.
    Suggestion for database error:
    Is the file saved on local location or at a network drive or external location live Dropbox or Google drive.
    Please move the file to desktop and then try to save the file after making few changes. Hopefully you will not get any error.
    If you still get the error please share the exact error screenshot.

    I am using a dynamic app launcher tile in the fiori launchpad. I am using Odata in the Service URL parameter, but i see that only number is getting bound to the tile where as other parameters like title,information are not getting bound to the tile even though they are passed from the odata.
    Please let me know is it only number that can be bound or we should be able to bind other parameters as well.

    Initially, We used filters in service URL. Which didn't work properly. Then we replaced filters with Single Entity. And worked correctly.
    For example
    /sap/opu/odata/sap/ZXXXXX/Collection?$filters=title eq 'System' and subtitle eq 'Manage'
    will not work. Its gives only number on tile. but not other information.
    /sap/opu/odata/sap/ZXXXXX/Collection(title='System',subtitle='Manage')
    Worked well with us.
    Note: Both returns the same output and single entry(entity). But the way we provide the URL in FIORI customization is really matters.
    Refer to

    for format of data for tiles.

    In the process of trying to add a key to a user table, I am being told that there are other users attached to the database.  The only user attached to the database is me and I have no other connections running that I know of.  The process continues i
