APP no longer available?

I have an APP that is not responding any more. I went to the iTunes Store to check for an update and it says this APP is not available in the US Store. It is an older APP called 1001 Ringtones by JLC Mobile.
I can find various things on the internet for the APP but nothing saying if it is currently active. There is no "help" to go to and no way to check the APP through iTunes.
I removed it from my phone and now cannot reload it since it's no longer in the APP Store. Should I assume it's a "dead" APP? I've never run into this before.

If the app is no longer in your country's store then you won't be able to redownload it - any item (app, music album, film etc) could be removed at any time. Do you have a copy of the app in the Apps part of your computer's iTunes library and/or on your backup of your downloads/library so that you can sync it back to your phone ?

Last night I tried to update APPS in iTunes... showed 9 updates available. I tried to update them but at the beginning of the process I got a message that one of the APPs was no longer available ( didn't say which one) and the process stopped. None of the APPs was updated. Tried a number of times with same result. What can I do? Anyone else seen this?
Iphone was NOT attached at the time.

I have a similar problem, I can't update on my iPhone either. Have you recently updated/ changed your iPhone account? If so you'll have to report it to apple (provide feedback) as no one here can help (tried for weeks.)

Is the iBook app ok longer available? Also any book I try to download it says this item is no longer available.

iBook can't be downloaded onto a device that doesn't already have it? Can't even find it in the App Store. And on my phone that does have it, all the books say "no longer available."

There are reports of users having problems downloading content or updating apps.

All apps on your iPhone should be in your iTunes library on your computer.
If an app developer removes their app from the app store or it is removed from the app store by Apple for violating Apple policies including privacy, etc., it shouldn't matter since all apps should be in your iTunes library on your computer.
There are some songs I purchased from the iTunes store a long time ago that are no longer available in the iTunes store. If I don't maintain a backup for my iTunes library on my computer and my computer's hard drive fails without the music being available on my iPhone/iPad, I have no recourse against Apple or those who own the distrubution rights for the songs that are no longer available in the iTunes store.

IBooks app - no longer available

I have tried numerous times to download the "iBook app" from the App Store for my iPad but I continuously receive the message that is no longer available. Is this for real, or is it just a temporary App Store glitch?

There are really weird things going on with the App Store in the last two days. It seems to be impossible to browse through the apps properly. There are four discussions going on with that issue today. I am assuming the App Store is on the "fritz" as we used to say back in the day.
I contacted Apple through Express Lane. No response yet.

Removing app no longer available from GameCenter.

I have an app on my GameCenter account. I deleted the app, and it is no longer available on the App Store. Is there anyway to remove it from my GameCenter account?

i dont see any other way but even if you delete them it will still show them somwhere online.

TS1702 previously downloaded apps no longer available on my ipod touch????

Hi, My iTouch 8gb (model A1288-2nd generation) - after not having a lot of my Artwork for my Apps (they just disappeared-went grey-if tapped could still access them tho) I decided to individually remove/restore but with no luck. I then restored the entire iTouch - I can no longer download these apps that were previously on this unit back onto it - it says that "ït was not installed on the iPod because it requires a newer version of the iPod software" my version I have is iOS 4.2.1 (downloaded today). WHY does my iTouch no longer support these previously accessable Apps - PLEASE HELP!!

The current version of those Apps available on the App store apparently requires a iOS level higher than 4.2.1. The older versions of those Apps which you had before you deleted them did run on iOS 4.2.2
Since App store only carries the latest version of Apps you are out of luck on those Apps. In this case deleting the Apps was not a wise choice.
One might be able to say more if you gave the names of the Apps in this situation.

Amazon apps no longer available after 10.3

Sooooo sorry that I upgraded to 10.3. All the andoid apps that I got with amazon appstore previously (sideloaded on 10.2) no longer show up in my app list. Also, if you search for apps in the appstore they no longer show up, such apps like netflix, goldfish etc.
Downloaded snap to have access to all the apps again. If you go to the amazon appstore on the computer, NETFLIX is there. Why the @#! does it not show up using the "new" amazon app on the phone!!
Hating almost everything about 10.3 except for blend.

This is not so much a 10.3 thing, but something else going on.
There's a long thread over at crackberry.com about this issue. Amazon does not set the device requirements - the app developers do. Netflix disappeared off of Amazon back in January - before 10.3 was officially releaesd. It went away for people still running 10.2.1. It was Netflix that removed any BlackBerry device from their "approved device" list. There is a running list of apps in that thread that are slowly no longer being made "available" to BlackBerry phones.
The Amazon App Store app identifies the actual BlackBerry device used on their system.
Snap only sends the Google ID and the API number corresponding to the runtime's Android version on your device. So you do get a larger selection - including those that are excluding BlackBerry at Amazon.
But then, you're also stuck having to deal with many of the apps on Google Play requiring Google Play Services to run. Netflix wants it, but will still run. A lot of apps are starting to require it and won't run on our phones without it.
It looks like BlackBerry's deal with Amazon is falling apart. With all these apps basically blacklisting BlackBerry, the advantage of having Amazon is disappearing as well.
I don't know if Netflix is still ticked off at John Chen or what, but it's us customers of both who end getting hurt.

FIOS Smart TV App no longer available on Samsung UN50ES6100 model TV. What happened?

I had to reinstall all my SAMSUNG Smart TV apps. The Verizon FIOS TV app was one I had previously downloaded and was working. It's no longer in the list of SAMSUNG Smart TV applicaitons. Was it removed for any special reason? Will it be returned? I really liked having the option to watch my Verizon FIOS TV programming through the SAMSUNG Verizon FIOS app.

It was pulled bcause a Samsung update made it inoperative on some TVs.
Some people report to still having it.
No update as of yet from Verzion as to if/when it will return.

HT5085 Previously Purchased Apps No Longer Available

Hi everyone,
I've switched places of residence from Russia to Ukraine (subsequently changing required address information) in the Apple ID form after Ukraine had appeared in "the list of ICountries" using my new MacBook Pro (Retina). That went well. However, now I can't retrieve none of the previously purchased apps neither on my iPhone nor on my MacBook. On both devices, the iTunes' "Purchased" link leads to an empty list of previously purchased apps. Not fair, given that I had purchased a ton of apps in the past.
My iPhone and MacBook are authorised, and all other configurations seem in place. I still see what used to be my apps in the Purchase History. Am I missing something? Or is it just how it is now?
I'd be more than happy to get back my apps. Please help.

When you change accounts to another country, you no longer can use past purchases from the cloud from the former. International restrictions here...

Previously purchased apps no longer available?

Dear All,
I am recently the owner of my new Iphone I plugged it in to my computer to upload all the Apps that I had previously downloaded (quite a whille ago) for my Ipod Touch, before it got stolen. These apps are still around today, ie Angry Birds, Quick Office etc.
I was able to view these apps in my previous purchases on Itunes about 3months ago, but now they are no longer there.
How can I get access to my old purchased apps?

On your iPhone, tap on App Store, then Updates, then Purchased. It should show all the apps you ever purchased with your Apple ID and allow you to download the ones you want onto your phone (by tapping on the cloud symbol). The next time you sync your phone, the apps you have downloaded onto your phone will transfer into iTunes.

Is the Keynote Remote App no longer available?

I had been using the Keynote Remote app to control my presentations, but it stopped working. I uninstalled it and looked on the App store to reinstall it, but can't find it.

The Remote App has been discontinued. Its functions have been incorporated into Keynote for iOS.

Well, looking in the App Store, there are a number of different Finding Nemo apps, so I'm not sure which one you are referring to. However, since this is a 3rd party app, I suggest that you contact their support to check.
If everything else on your phone is working properly as far as data is concerned, such as email or Safari Internet access, then the app support should be able to help you.

Purchased app no longer available

I purchased an app and now I need to restore the purchase but the developer removed the paid for version from the store and there is no restore purchase function within the free version of the app. I emailed the developer 4 days ago and have yet to receive a response. Is there any recourse I can take?

Go to the app store, at the bottom of the page is purchased. See if the app is listed and if you can restore from there.
