App no longer hosted in iTunes store & I deleted it from my computer :(

I accidentally deleted a file that is no longer being stored in the iTunes store. Is there any way I can get it back? The app does not show up in my downloads history either when I tried to look in my account on iTunes.
So the file was completely accidentally removed from my computer, no longer hosted on iTunes.. what do I do to get it back (on my ipod touch 4g) now??

I really doubt it would work otherwise it would be too easy to trade/pirate apps. I suspect it is DRM protest since I know an app is tied to your iTunes account.
If you actually purchased it before, you can redownload it at no additional cost:

  • Can no longer connect to iTune store - "server is down" message

Suddenly I can no longer connect to iTune Store via my AppleTV
What should I do? Many thanks

Wait for the server to come back.  If the server is down, then there is nothing you can do about it, and you must wait for apple to get the server back up and running.

  • Problem after updating to iTunes 10.5 on Windows Vista.. I can no longer access the iTunes store..

    Hi
After updating to iTunes 10.5 on Windows Vista I have found that I can no longer access the iTunes store... I am left with a blank iTunes screen with the loading bar stuck at halfway..
All other features seem to work... only opening  the iTunes store is failing..
I have ran the diagnostics feature and this says everything is ok, so I'm a bit stuck
    Please help

Purple-Gecko...all that I can say is, "Boom!!!"  You are THE man/woman, whichever the case may be.
The "netsh winsock reset" command worked like a charm for my machine (running Windows XP SP3).  I have had two weeks of frustration with this issue and finally found your post which got me back online with the iTunes store.  My problem accessing the iTunes store began once I downloaded and installed iTunes 10.5 in preparation to upgrade to OS5.  Once 10.5 was installed, I could open iTunes and access everything except the store (which prevented any of my devices from being able to sync). I followed all of the suggestions that I could find in Apple Support and the suggestions that I was emailed from Apple's support techs.  I unistalled all Apple software and reinstalled iTunes multiple times, and still could not access the store.
Your suggestion is the only "cure" that I have found.
I thank you, my iPod thanks you, and my iPhone 4 thanks you for taking the time to post this fix.

  • Can no longer access the iTunes store.

As of a few days ago I can no longer access the iTunes Store.  Keep getting the page that urges me to upgrade.
I cannot not upgrade to the current version on my G5 Power PC.  Cannot access by using Search either.  I am running
iTunes 7.5 because all newer versions required an upgrade of Quicktime which screwed up the performance of Final Cut Studio,
which I can also not upgrade because I don't own an Intel Mac.  I am so tired of Apple not supporting their loyal customers
who own older Macs, especially in these hard economic times.  Was considering the purchase of an iPhone, but not anymore.
If anyone knows of a work around to the iTunes problem I would appreciate an answer.  It not, then Goodbye Apple it was nice
    knowing you.

This is what I had to do to access iTunes store with 10.4.11 (took all day for the downloads)
    1. download & install iTunes 9.2.1 (101 MB)
    2. download & install Quicktime 7.5.5 (61 MB)
    3. message 'need to install Safari 4.0.3 or later' (and I never use Safari)
    4. download Safari (26 MB)
    5. Safari won't install without 'latest security update'
    6. download latest security update 2009-005 (Intel) v. 1.0 (172 MB)
    7. take a long walk
    8. install security update and restart
    9. install Safari and restart
And yes, now I can download music again from the iTunes store.  I would have given up and gone with Amazon.com but mp3 downloads are only available to folk in USA, and I'm in Australia.

  • After installing the latest itunes/quicktime update, I can no longer access the itunes store and my iphone does not complete syncing. What can I do to fix this?

After installing the latest itunes/quicktime update I can no longer acces the itunes store nad my iphone does not complete syncing. What can I do to fix this?  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled windows updates. I have checked the firewall settings. what else?

The problem is with version 10.4.1.  I had to reload 10.3 to get it to work.  The recommendation from a previous poster worked for me.  Here was their list of steps:
    Go to Control Panel>Programs>Uninstall
    2.  Uninstall the following Apple programs in the following order:
         a. iTunes
         b. QuickTime
         c. Apple Software Update
         d. Apple Mobile Devices Support
         e. Bonjour
         f.  Apple Appllcation Support
    3.  Reboot PC
    4.  Find, Download and Install iTunes 10.3 (you can find it at FileHippo.com)
If you start iTunes now you will get an error message saying that the current iTunes library was created by a newer version of iTunes.  To correct this:
    5.  Go to your Music>iTunes folder and delete the "iTunes Library.itl" database file
    6.  Within this iTunes folder find and open the "Previous iTunes Libraries" folder and locate the most recently dated "iTunes Library (date).itl" database file.
    7.  Copy and Paste this file back into the iTunes folder
    8.  Rename this "iTunes Library (date).itl" file by removing the date.  It should say "iTunes Library.itl"
    9.  Reboot PC

    1. Alle Apps richtig schliessen (2xHome-Taste und ganz schliessen)
    2. Einstellungen --> Allgemein --> Zurücksetzen --> Netzwerkeinstellungen
    Hinweis aus dem Handbuch:
--> Das IPhone startet neu ...
    3. Einstellungen --> Allgemein --> Datum&Urzeit --> Datum ein paar Jahre vorstellen
    4. AppStore starten und auf Updates gehen --> Jetzt kam bei mir die Fehlermeldung das keine Sichere Verbindung hergestellt werden konnte, da das Datum falsch eingestellt ist.
    5. AppStore ganz schliessen (2xHome-Taste und ganz schliessen)
    6. Datum wieder richtig einstellen
    7. AppStore starten auf updates ... bei mir ging es dann ab dem Punkt wieder!
