App not as advertised - developer seems to be gone!

What are we supposed to do about apps that do not work as advertised? A previous posting says to go to STORE-VIEW MY ACCOUNT-PURCHASE HISTORY-REPORT A PROBLEM-then click the purchase. Well, when trying this, iTunes simply says to try contacting the vendor. This was not helpful because the vendor seems to be gone!

It is part of iOS 8, and cannot be removed. You can move the app to another page, or hide it in a folder. You can turn off the notifications for the App in the notifications center control pane.

Since I actualize my iphone 4 to ios6 I can´t download applications from app store in it they seem to by downloading but within some seconds it's like if not clicked the download button. But then I have "waiting" mode applications that I never search for.

2. Are you downloading from Nokia Store on the phone or using Nokia Suite?

You can get Xcode without joining the developer program. Just go to the App Store and download it (it's free).
You'd only need to join the Developer program if you want to put your app into the App Store, this is for OS X.
You will need to join the Developer program if you want to develop for IOS. In that case you will need a parent or guardian.

tried all the stuff support recommends
switch phone on and off
delete app and reload app
contact developer
developer doesn't respond and now
the app's been taken down in the uk store
this is a paid app, we should expect something
for our money, either support from the developer,
or apple ( who took our money )

I can only tell you that I had a couple of apps that worked perfect before but when ios 5.0.1, apple closed whatever way the apps used to print....Print Central was one....the developer. at least this one, said they could not do anything about it...they only recommended printing to PDF...
But I have a dedicated file server ( steream music and movies ) and I installed FINGERPRINT on my server and now I can print from my ipad, iphone to any printer on my server

Apps don't recognize developer

I'm experiencing a maddening behavior with the developer toolbar and interactive reports. I have a set of applications (7 of them) that work as one application where authentication is concerned. There is one master authentication scheme that is subscribed by all other applications. The main application has the login page/processing. All the other apps have the shared cookie setup so they all behave correctly where authentication is concerned.
Two of the applications refuse to show the developer toolbar when run from the application builder and also don't allow me to save the default report layout, because the running app is not recognizing me as a developer.
I've created a developer account with the same name as my username in the application, so I can login to the Apex workspace with the same username I'm using to run the application. This has been suggested as a way to resolve this issue but it's not working for these two applications.
I need to find a way to get these two applications to recognize that they are being run from the app builder and that I'm running as the developer so I can save the interactive report defaults.
I've been messing around with these things for several days now and no matter what I do they continue to behave the same, the same two do not show the developer toolbar and the other 5 do.
Does anyone have any idea what mechanism Apex is using to determine if an app is being run by the developer? The username being the same for the developer and the application account does not seem to be bearing out in this case. Please, any help I can get with this will be most appreciated!

Holy moly! This was driving me nuts and it was the simplest of problems. The application status was set to "Available" rather than "Available with Edit Links"!!!
I swear I didn't make that change. It must have been my evil sleepwalking developer alter ego!! ;-> All good to go. Thanks for putting up with my posting.

Apps "not responding" and general lag

More than ever it seems apps are freezing and then the message that the app "not responding" comes up and do we want to wait or close. Is there any fix ? Also, my phone still has lag which is possibly uncurable ? Sony making no friends here - a kitkat upgrade would be welcome but isn't coming ! One thing I did do was disable Chrome and install CM browser for android - makes searching less painful and would recommend.

You could reinstall the latest update with PCC Keep in mind that apps are getting heavier and hardware demanding, chrome its known to have an issue at the moment, memory leak, and the Xperia SP has only 1GB of RAM not an ideal combination with this latest updates on apps.

Voice memos app not saving properly

I am using an iphone5 running iOS7.1.1 and performing the following actions will cause Voice Memos app not saving recordings. I have sent a feedback to Apple but is wondering if anyone else is found having similar problems.
1) Run Voice memos app and start recording
2) At lock screen open camera app and take a picture
3) At same lock screen delete the picture taken
4) Lock screen will show RECORDING in progress
5) Open Voice memos app and it will also show RECORDING in progress
6) Save voice memo from app and the duration FROM the point of picture deleted WILL NOT be saved

same here ... iPhone 3gs/32 gigs ram/ios 4.3.1 ...
the app doesn't seem to work any more, and hasn't for some time:
"buttons" are unresponsive, or they appear to respond, but don't perform their function ... erratic behavior ...
very disappointing as this has gone on for some time ...
We appear not to be the only ones ...

Windows phone app not deploying completely to device from Visual Studio

At various times I have noticed the app package doesn't update completely when using Visual Studio to deploy directly to a developer-unlocked device. The symptoms are always that some updates are not reflected, and debugging reveals the problem.
The solution is to completely uninstall the app from the device and deploy again. After redeployment, with NO binary package changes, the updates now work.
This is an unpredictable, intermittent problem. My test devices are 1020s, a 925, and a 1520. I have thus far mainly noticed the problem on the 1020.
Environment:
Windows 8.1 Pro dev system
VS 2013 Ultimate Update 4
Windows Store 8.1 "universal" project
Lumia 1020 (about shows "NOKIA 909"), running latest WP8.1 Update (Lumia Cyan)

A. As you develop an app, app data is normally preserved across build iterations. However, changing the manifest triggers a full uninstall and redeployment from within Visual Studio, and that deletes any existing app data. To manually preserve that app data,
copy the contents of the %localappdata%packages<your package>folder to a temporary location, build and redeploy the app, and then copy the app data back. Note that this redeployment behavior in Visual Studio is a separate matter from updating
an app from the Store or via side-loading, in which case the deployment engine does not uninstall the previous version and app data is therefore preserved.

Apps not working after updating to iOS 5.1.1

I just updated the iOS 5.1.1 on my 4s last night and all my downloaded apps couldn't be opened (the original apps working porperly). They seem to be running because they are on the running apps bar when I double click the menu botton. Does anyone have the same problem and what should I do?

I have tried all these fixes and nothing seams to work. My app's have been on hold for week to get updated. I assumed I did not have a good enough connection, but Im in starbucks with a good connection and still no luck. I upadted today to 5.1.1 .. I have tried tup downloand a new app, just in a holding pattern. When I pause it and ask it to reload, it says
"unable to download application" done or retry are my options. Tried retry many times, with no success.
I have tried to shut it off holding the side button but the red bar does not disapear. It stays there until I give up.
I have logged out, shut down, logged back in..
Any suggetions????
I saw something about the DNS?? Is that for the Ipad or a computer?

Contacts app not finding names in Exchange 2010 server
This is weird, could be a bug in 10.8.2, not sure, want to see if anyone else is seeing this.
Mountain Lion 10.8.2
Exchnage account created for: Mail, Contacts, Calendars. All looks good there.
Cannot lookup names / email addresses in Contacts Global Address List (GAL) or in Mail app.
Can delete the Exchnage account in Contacts and re-add it, and it will work.
Once Contacts quits and is re-luanched, no dice. No connection, just spins and spins.
Eventually Contacts app crashes, (not responding).
Outlook 2011 works just fine, seems an issue with Contacts.

I thinkk this is a bug in Contacts app, 7.1 (1167), in MT Lion.
If one inputs the actual AD domain controllers dns name, for the Internal Server, Contacts app does the lookup successfully and pretty quick.
This is how it is on Outlook 2011 BTW. Directoy Service in OL 2011 is the AD domain controller FQDN, not the Exchnage server.

Java apps not working right

I lately have found problems with Java apps not working correctly. For example, in Yahoo Widgets I cannot get any widget preferences to display; in Apple's Java Preferences for J2SE 5.0 the preference window opens but is blank; and in JBidwatcher the buttons are missing in main and preference windows.
When I log in as another user I find all those apps work properly, so it seems to be something wrong within my User folder. I tried reinstalling the Java J2SE50ReIease4 but it didn't help. Is there something I can delete and/or reinstall to fix this problem?

I made the mistake of thinking I could throw away the preferences in the Java folder and new pref's would automatically replace the missing pref's, much to my surprise no such thing happened. My settup is the same as yours, except my OS is 10.4.8.
Someone please help.

Apps not showing in notification settings

I just bought my iPhone 6 two days ago. Running IOS 8.1.2
Why is some of my apps not showing in the notification settings.
Downloaded 15 games only 10 showing in the notification settings.
When I first download the apps and run it. It does not pop out any request to allow notification.

Is it the same apps or do they change? If it the same ones - it may be a developer issue
Do you know if an app that is not showing in the notification center of your phone shows up on someone else's iphone notification center?
