APP NOT BEHAVING PROPERLY

I am using the doodle app for ipad and I'm trying to either post my doodle artwork to facebook OR email my completed work to myself OR to friends/family. The app manufacter says to reinstall the app but I fear that any artwork on my ipad will be lost. I've made a back up to my computer of my ipad. Is there a way to view my backup so I can feel confident my artwork is backed up? I have tried to get resolution from the company but they are non responsive. Their issue is to install everything to my ipad.
I am using the latest software and I have an I pad 4 with retina display.

My experience with apps is if you delete them to reinstall them you'll lose the data associated with them. If you can't e-mail or post to FB, can you save it somewhere else? Maybe to your camera roll?
Have you tried to force quit the app? That just basically makes the app reboot and shouldn't wipe out any data (unless maybe if you do it in the middle of your artwork)
Double tap the home button. If you have iOS6 you'll see your app icons line up on the bottom of the screen. Scroll sideways if needed to access the one for your app. THen hold your finger down on it until they start to shake. THen tap the red circle to close the app. Single tap the home button to exit that mode.
If you're in iOS7 when you double tap the home button you'll see app icons line up with a preview above them. To close the app, flick that preview up and off the screen. Single tap the home button to exit the mode.
Then reopen the app and try to mail your artwork.

Accordion not behaving properly

Hi!
I have an accordion that is not behaving properly, and can't understand why. As you see in the following link, when clicked, the accordion´s opening is not smooth but quite strange. The .css and .js controlling files are the same Adobe.com posted in the download section. Is quite frustrating: I have done other accordions and I thought I could control this thing. But somehow, there is something that I dont understand going on.

The accordion behaves very well in all browsers with the exception of IE. When there is no DOCTYPE assigned to your document IE goes into Quirks mode.
Just add the following to the very first line (no blank lines prior) of your document

Enter DFU Mode.
Connect the iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes
Turn the iPhone off (hold down the power button at the top of the iPhone)
Hold down the sleep/power button and home button together for exactly 10 seconds, then release the power button
Continue to hold down the Home button until a message appears in iTunes telling you an iPhone in recover mode has been detected
Do a restore

Preset Not Behaving Properly

I have a preset which tweaks clarity, vibrance, sharpening and lens correction. I recently applied it to a new photo and it didn't seem to do much. I went in to edit it ( right clicked on preset and selected UPDATE WITH CURRENT SETTINGS). Only white balance was checked. Is there a way to recover my previous settings?

You probably goofed up the preset permanently by updating it with only white balance selected (try recovering from backup).
But here is an important note:
Lightroom does NOT do a good job at handling process version in presets (and some presets included with Lightroom specify a process version when they shouldn't).
If the preset had a process version which did not match the process version of the photo, the preset may not behave properly.
If I used presets much, I would load all presets into a text editor, and check for process version specific stuff. If yes, then make sure there is a proper process version in it. Then, store in a PV20XX folder so as not to use it on the wrong photos. If no, then make sure you strip the process version out of the file, and re-save. Restart Lightroom afterward. Let me know if you need help determining which items are PV specific.
If you want to know which settings were in a previously applied preset, you can search for photos that have it applied, and compare the settings before and after applying the preset. ChangeManager makes the comparison easier and less error prone.

THe query is behaving propelry when MTH_EQUIP_STATUSES has rows but it inserts duplicate record when MTH_EQUIP_STATUSES is empty.can somone tell me how to modify the above query so that it behaves properly even when there are no rows in MTH_EQUIP_STATUSES .

A couple of observations and questions:
1. I assume you know that you are mutating the table that you are querying. That is, the MERGE is on the MTH_EQUIP_STATUSES table but your two inner queries select this same table to get the records to update. So if the queries may select a record to be INSERTED into the table will the inner queries see this record since it did not exist at the start of the transaction?
2. The incorrect shift workday fk key value HAS TO BE coming from an existing record since Oracle doesn't create data spontaneously. What record or records is the wrong value coming from?
3. The shift workday fk key column IS NOT part of the inner query UNION so how do you know which record the value is coming from? A UNION eliminates duplicates but only for the columns selected and the fk column is not selected. Normally the MERGE query should contain ALL columns needed for an UPDATE and since yours doesn't Oracle is getting a value from outside your SELECT set.
4. Clarify what you mean by 'Select stement in merge shows only 1 row '. What tables have data in them and how many rows of data do they have. You must have two rows in one of the tables since you said your 'bad' result shows two different values for shift workday fk key and Oracle doesn't create data on its own.
Does the mth_tag_readings table only have one row? Does the mth_tag_readings_err table have one row?
5. Reduce the test data set to the minimum that will reproduce the problem and report the results that you get.
Still looking into it.

Voice memos app not saving properly

I am using an iphone5 running iOS7.1.1 and performing the following actions will cause Voice Memos app not saving recordings. I have sent a feedback to Apple but is wondering if anyone else is found having similar problems.
1) Run Voice memos app and start recording
2) At lock screen open camera app and take a picture
3) At same lock screen delete the picture taken
4) Lock screen will show RECORDING in progress
5) Open Voice memos app and it will also show RECORDING in progress
6) Save voice memo from app and the duration FROM the point of picture deleted WILL NOT be saved

same here ... iPhone 3gs/32 gigs ram/ios 4.3.1 ...
the app doesn't seem to work any more, and hasn't for some time:
"buttons" are unresponsive, or they appear to respond, but don't perform their function ... erratic behavior ...
very disappointing as this has gone on for some time ...
We appear not to be the only ones ...

Webdynpro apps not loading properly with Citrix

         We are trying to access a Webdynpro application through Citrix.
The problem is the Java Webdynpro screen elements are not loading properly. For example, UI elements like table, drop-downs, buttons etc., don't show up or get rendered properly at all.

Notes app not working properly on 3GS after 4.2.1 update

The Notes app no longer works properly on iPhone 3GS after update to iOS 4.2.1 the other day.
Now when in Notes app, found that I went into a Note, edited it and then couldn't leave it - the navigation has disappeared, so cant get out of the note back to the list. Only way out of the note is to press the Home button and exit Notes.

Wow...I also just noticed I have songs that also are not showing up. Should I just do a restore?

The New Photo App Not Syncing Properly

I've been pulling my hair out over the last week or so with the new Photo's in the iCloud and how the online database won't sync properly.
This is how I went about the upgrade.
I have a Mac Mini which has been for the past several years drawing down my family's photo's and video etc from all out devices using iPhoto. This has worked very nicely. I've been adding pictures from my stream into albums etc with about 200 or so. All files are stored locally of course in organized folder which is then back up on to a external drive.
After the latest update I opened the new Photo app and it started to convert my library over and started to upload all the photos, some 15000 pictures and a few hundred videos. I started to check my iPad and iPhone which is where I started to see problems, missing albums, missing photos, duplicates etc. Before anyone asks I emptied my trash in iPhoto before I updated as I had read about the new app pulling all the photos from trash in too.
After several days of stopping and starting my iPhone and iPad looked like it should with my albums and the correct amount of files. I checked the online iCloud Photos through my browser which also match, but I had all the old iPhoto months and daily libraries still showing despite me organizing my libraries not to group the photos in these old style albums.
At this point I also looked back on my Mac Mini to find that all the libraries had totally disappeared and there seemed to be a couple of thousand files missing, ie my ipad, iphone and online coun which is at something like 15,634 files and the Mac Mini Photo app was showing about 13,450. Plus, it was now saying uploading some 24,000 files but was in fact doing nothing.
At this point I decided to turn my main iMac on and see if I could get the databases to pull down from the iCloud to see if it matched. Three days later it's stuck at some 3200 files and saying it's still adding 15,000 files. I then went back on to my Mac Mini and started a fresh version of Photo and it's now stuck in the same state as the iMac saying it's adding file but nothing is changing.
Please help.

How did you import the photos?
Are the missing photos perhaps referenced? Then they cannot upload to iCloud.
You can check with a smart album, if you have any photos in the library, that cannot upload to iCloud.

Outlook web app not working properly in Safari since switching to Yosemite

I have installed/upgraded to Yosemite first on my MacBook Air (13-inch, 2011) and then on my IMac 13.2 (27inch, 2012). In both cases I have experienced the same thing: when trying to attach a file to the message written using the Outlook Web App, I get only upper part of this window and while I can browse for the file, I cannot attach it as I cannot reach and click the "attach file" button. Needless to say this is really annoying!
I did not have this problem before upgrading to Yosemite and Safari 8. The same function still works if I use Firefox or Opera.
Anyone had similar problems and any suggestions how to go around it without switching back to the old OS X?

I could zoom in once and then it wouldn't work anymore by using the pinching on the Magic Trackpad.
Pressing Command and +/- still worked.
I deleted Safari 5.1 and reinstalled the Combo Update to get 5.0.5 back and it worked properly again.
Then I installed 5.1 another time and had the same error again.
I guess I got to roll back to 5.0.5

IPhone 4 mail App not working properly

My IPhone 4 mail app just continues to spin and check email without getting email or sending.
Had the same problem in October after iOS 6 update took in phone and got a new one under 1 yr warranty.( apple and Verizon techs could not figure)
Again the problem is back. The spiny thing just continues to spin and no email update.
If I reboot the phone the email is pulled down but stops again.

Can not find anything on apple support or anywhere on google
I installed gmail app and all email pulls down perfectly but can not get me AOL email setup
So I know the network is working

I'm getting this too. It's very slow and apparently thinks "Call Sue Newport" sounds like "Call Halfords" or "Call Halyards" and, most surprisingly "Call First Great Western".
I was wearing my Jawbone Bluetooth headset so it's nothing to do with background noise.
I tried the new "What time is it?" command which works but takes about 10-15 seconds to activate.

I have put the code below will someone please explain to me why as soon as i change the height of "middle" and/or "middle centre" to auto (they currently have fixed heights) the whole thing breaks?
(note, it does not break if I dont put any content in the green box effectivly causing its auto height to be 0, but inserting a single letter breaks it)
(second note, when using fixed heights it will accept any height and still work fine)
I need thoes 2 DIVs to have auto heights so that can adjust since as this is a lightbox different conent will be placed in the green area at different times.

Turn NIS 2005’s Personal Firewall OFF, (turn it OFF Permanently until your ready to turn it back on) then click CONFIGURE. ( Might be a good idea to disconnect from the Internet at this stage)
Under the PROGRAMS tab remove any reference to Apple iTunes or iTunes or iTunes Helper Module or anything related. and reboot.
After coming back go back to NIS 2005’s Personal Firewall, click CONFIGURE. Under the PROGRAMS tab click ADD at the bottom, a SELECT A PROGRAM window will pop up. Add the following files one at a time, iTunes.exe, iTunesHelper.exe, QuickTimePlayer.exe, qttask.exe, QTInfo.exe. The last 3 are found in your Quicktime folder where that is in your system. Click OK. Turn NIS 2005’s Personal Firewall ON, and try starting iTunes again.
It seems the Quicktime files were never automatically entered into NIS 2005’s Personal Firewall allowable programs listing. Adding them manually should help. I also noticed that from my previous version of iTunes the program listed in the Firewall was named Apple iTunes and not iTunes after I upgraded to 6.

Apple apps not displaying properly in virtual Mountain Lion

Hello,
I have 13" MacBook Pro 2.4 that came with Snow Leopard. I have found that it does not perform really well with Mountain Lion (although 8GB RAM and 7200rpm HD) so I decided to switch back to SL. I also own Parallels and it lets me use the ML download image to set up a new virtual os, which I can then use to run iBooks Author.
However, iBooks Author and iWork apps do not render in virtual ML. In the attached screenshots, you can see that the interface is there, but the content of the application is not showing up. Other applications like Safari perform just fine. So far, only iBA and iWork apps are affected.(Screenshots are from Parallels so they are of the virtual os)
I know this is a virtual ML issue cause I have ML on a separate partition that works just fine when booted into it. I am assuming this is a graphic card specific issue, where Parallels is unable to match the hardware graphics exactly.
I'd be happy to receive your comments and feedback to find a remedy to this situation, as I do not want to switch between partitions just to use iBooks Author.

This issue extends to other Apple apps like Preview, which will not render when run in virtualization. I use Snow Leopard virtualized in Lion and I always make sure I use Preview in Lion and not virtualized Snow Leopard.
I believe this issue is discussed on the Parallels support forum, but with no satisfactory solution for now...
They may also balk at offering you support as they do not officially support virtualizing Mt. Lion in Parallels in Snow Leopard. I may have raised the issue on their support forum suggesting the problem was in virtualizing Snow Leopard Server in Lion, which they do officially support.
Try a search of the Parallels Support forum...
You could partition your hard drive and install Mountain Lion in that partition (or use an external hard drive) and use the "dual-boot" method as a workaround to your problem. Of course, in this situation, you lose the ability to run Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion concurrently.
Finally, you could reinstall Mt. Lion and then run Snow Leopard in Parallels, but it seems from your comments that this suggestion will not work for you. This solution is primarily for those Lion/Mt. Lion users who need concurrent use of PowerPC applications requiring Rosetta:

Battery not behaving properly, please help

Hi, I just got a replacement from apple (ipod touch 4g), but the battery is not working as it should. When it runs of, the ipod shouldn't be able to turn back on, instead, it would show an empty battery icon. Besides this, when you plug it, it should not work for about 10 minutes until it's got some charge... This "new as, they say" ipod, does turn on without battery, the apple icon shows up, and as soon as it gets to the home screen, it suddenly dies again. I've done this for about 8 times in a row, nothing changes. When I plug it, it immediately turns back on... I've compared it with my girlfriend's both fully charged, using the same app, same brightness, push deactivated and mine discharges way faster... Can any body help me?? Thanks
