App not connected through LTE on passport: uber / slack/...

Hello, I sideloaded some apps from SNAP: uber, slack, hotel tonight...these app can't go to internet with LTE. They need wifi connection. It's a serious bug. Sounds like it comes from the OS and not from the app.
Thanks,

I had this same issue with AT&T. I upgraded from an iPhone 4S to the new iPhone 6 and it would only connect to 4G, not LTE. Additionally, the data connection would often drop out entirely, which could be remedied by cycling airplane mode. I tried resetting network settings and rebooting the phone several times, but nothing helped.
Swapping the SIM card fixed the issue on my phone. I got a new SIM from an AT&T retail store. I spent TWO HOURS in online tech support chat with an AT&T representative before they finally agreed to let me swap SIMs. I powered off the phone, put in the new SIM, powered it on, and I immediately had LTE connectivity.

  • Apps not connecting

For some reason, my iPhone does not connect with most Apps (including the App Store). I have full signal strength and can send/retrieve emails without problem.
I have turned the phone on and off. Even did a refresh (holding both the Home and Power buttons down until the apple logo appears). Nothing seems to make a difference.
And on some apps, I can connect (such as American Airlines). It doesn't make sense. Especially the App Store app to update apps not connecting.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks

I am having the same problem. Can send/receive email and text messages, but cannot connect to game center server.

When I upgraded from my old phone to the new iphone ATT did not update my IMEI number.
So had to call the help desk and request them to update the account to the new IMEI no of my iphone. Since then works like a charm.
Ohh and btw a lot of retards from ATT don't know about this is the solution had to do extensive research (All Hail Google)
    Hope this fixes your issue.

  • External hard drive that is not connected through a network

Will Time Machine work with an external WD hard drive that is connected through my network at home. I plan to connect the drive via by internet router or Airport Express. Can TM use any drive that my MacBook can see? (except for my local hard drive of course)

Thanks...the cable is pretty sturdy as is--plus the drive appears in the panel in Disc Utility, just not on desktop (?). Sorry can you elaborate on SMC?
I decided to try to recover some of the data using Data Rescue II--so far not able to get it off the drive, but I've had very good success with this app in the past. I was hoping for some similar suggestion like command-T (target disc mode as with firewire hard drives) but I don't know if this works with USB drives.

  • All apps not connecting, including app store

Just updated my 3gs to 4.0. Now all my apps that have to connect through 3g are not working. They work through wifi. I don't think email or sms are working either. I tried back up, then restore and nothing.

    PLEASE HELPPPPP

I just still wonder why give away lite version when there is no full version to buy? Is the full version more violent than the lite one? And just know that I play GTA series since like GTA 2 on Playstation 1.

  • IPhone not connecting through Bluetooth on iMac 21.5 inch with Nvidia 750 M

On my iMac 21.5 with Nvidia 750 M, both of my iPhones (iPhone 5s and iPhone 6) won't connect through bluetooth. I've tried disconnecting my wireless keyboard and mouse. The same connection error would pop-up. *By the way, you can talk in programmer's terms to me.*

An iPhone will not pair via Bluetooth to a computer (Mac or Windows) except for personal hotspot and then only if your cellular plan supports it. https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-7722
If you are attempting to use Handoff/Continuity, that does involve Bluetooth but the devices are NOT paired; Bluetooth just needs to be on and the devices in range of each other. The following may help with Handoff/Continuity issues: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5458

  • Several Apps not connecting to Internet

    Hi,
I have encountered a problem with my new Ipad starting yesterday where certain apps will not connect to the internet. In Safari, I am getting an error which many others reported - Cannot Verify Server Identity but this can be gotten around by clicking continue. However other apps such as Youtube, Mail and IMDB are not able to connect. I have powered the device off, connected to iTunes to see if I have the latest software, which I do but still to no avail. Before I to a factory reset, does anyone have any suggestions to this problem. Some apps are working fine so it's not that internet connectivitity is not working at all.
    Please help!

  • Some apps not connecting to server.

Hi, hope somebody can help me here.
Recently both my ipad and iPhone do not connect to the servers for some apps when on my home network at times (they don't connect more than they actually do). It is only some apps though, the most annoying being Mail, but Clash of Clans and Bingo bash also don't work. On the other hand I can happily browse pages via safari and some apps such as TSTO and Candy crush also connect no problems. I've tried rebooting but still have the same problem.
    Thanks.

  • Mail not connecting through proxy

I transferred all information from my previous iBook (MacOS X 10.3.9) to my new MacBook (10.4.9) over the firewire link during installation. All settings have been accurately copied.
Mail works at home, using a cable modem and DHCP. It works with the external modem. However, it will not connect at the office using internal Ethernet through a proxy on our network, while the old mail with the same settings worked fine. Now, the (new) Mail Connection Doctor says: "Mail was unable to connect to the internet, etc. Nothing I do there will make it work. Two observations:
    1. Safari works fine, all the time.
    2. Mail does connect to the internet: when I collect my new messages with the external modem (out of necesity) and then change back to my office configuration, Mail will not connect to my mail servers as described, but it will effortlessly collect all the images embedded in HTML messages I have already downloaded.
    Help will be gratefully appreciated...

Hi Doc_Ski, and a warm welcome to the forums!
maybe the password to my account on the proxy is stored somewhere and all 3 browsers keep using it
Yes, it can be stored in Cookies.
Try making a new User & see if it works or asks for them.

  • Web-based apps not connecting

My son, who lives 90-miles away from me with my ex, has had a problem with his iPod touch. Ironically, we just had it replaced do to a hardware failure last week.
Web-based apps, such as facebook, (or his favorite, iFunny), will not connect to the Internet, despite him connecting to wi-fi. Very strangely, browsers, such as Safari, and Chrome, do not have this problem.
I am hoping there is some setting I don't know about that he has toggled that will fix all this and save me from a 90-minute drive to the genius bar.

Does the iOS device work OK when connected to other networks?
Do other devices connect with those apps?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Internet-required apps not connecting (even though internet works!)

Hi, just purchased a shiny new iMac 27inch after my old faithful G5 tower finally went to the great PC in the sky.
Enjoying the experience immensely but have a big problem with bootcamp.
I installed xp service pack 2 via bootcamp and after hundreds of microsoft updates it is now sitting at the most up to date version of xp.
I wanted to do two things with xp initially - install AVG free and steam (both of which I happily run on my windows pc). Problem is that with both applications I get a warning message saying that the app cannot connect without an internet connection.
Now, I do indeed have an internet connection which is running fine. I have tweaked and turned windows firewall completely off - they already have exceptions selected for steam and avg anyway - but still get the same problem.
I have removed both apps several times - and reinstalled - but no joy. Incidentally, normally you would get the startup program for AVG from the internet which then requires the internet connection to download the full program, but found a link to do this direct instead - as I had the same problem with the startup problem. I haven't yet tried, but I would suspect that this may well apply to all applications that need an online update.
I was wondering if this is a problem noted previously, but also if this was something that I may have to alter via the Mac OS?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, thought I would answer this one myself after I realised what was wrong. The issue was with a faulty and incomplete installation of zonealarm. In fact it was so incomplete that it didn't even appear as any visible files on the hard drive!
First of all I tried to reinstall ZA which brought up an error saying that I couldn't install over the previous version because of an error and I should restart (helpful!)
Of course, restarting didn't do anything to help. So in the end it was a case of going to ZA's support pages to get help and performing some core file removals in safe mode. Don't worry - all clear instructions are available.
So, in the end, this issue was down to a rogue and somewhat zealous installation.
I'm now connected to the internet and steam is happily downloading.
    woo hoo!

  • Apple Apps not connecting.

I just moved to a new apartment, and now have Comcast as my primary internet provider.
But, my Macbook Pro is my main computer at the moment, and any Apple related software (itunes, safari, software update, etc.) say that I am not connected to the internet. Firefox 2 works perfectly fine, as does iChat and World of Warcraft.
I haven't been able to find any information (or if anyone even has a similar problem) so I would greatly appreciated it, if anyone had any ideas.
Oh yeah, I'm using a WRT54G router from Linksys, and I tried changing the wireless channel three times to no avail.
Network Diagnostic says I am connected to the internet (via Airport).

    I have a similar problem.
Does everything work okay if you plug a network cable into the MacBook Pro and your Linksys router? (ie don't use wireless)?

    Hi,
Step 1 :In addition to that , please use remote connectivity analyzer to check outlook anywhere in internet .
From that we came to know the exact error .
Step 2: Most of the organisations are having an ISA or TMG firewall to create web published rules for exchange services .In case if you have you need to check the rule created for outlook anywhere is properly configured or not.
If you have such kind of firewall's ,You can test the OA rule by using the option test rule in ISA or TMG firewall .
Most probably you can able to find out the exact cause with the help of EXRCA.
Please reply me if you have any queries.
