App not installing onto my iPod Touch.

I have recently purchased Worms from the Apple App Store. In the description it says it is compatable for the iPhone or iPod Touch but when i try to install it onto my iPod Touch it says it is not compatible with this iPod.
I have e-mailed Team17 Support and they told me that Worms works with all iPod touch devices. I am using iTunes 8 and I have the iPod Touch is version 2.1.1.
Can anyone tell me how i can install the game onto my iPod Touch?

Looks like it is 2.2.1 compatible, so it should work. A few things you can try, in order of difficulty:
1- Reset (not Restore) your Touch, or
2- "Buy" a free App to see if that gets Worms working, or
3- Log out of your iTunes account, then log back in and try to sync the game, or
4- Change your sync settings to NOT sync any Apps, sync to remove all Apps, then change your options back and re-sync again to load the Apps back, or
5- Restore your Touch to factory settings, which will erase its contents completely and you'll have to reload everything.

Resetting settings does not remove Restrictions. Thus as Diavonex asked:
Did you set any restrictions on the iPod?

Apps purchased do not load onto my ipod touch!

Purchased 12 games (apps) for my new 8gb touch and tried to sync from computer to ipod(by clicking on all te apps purchased on my ipod screen and tried by dragging them onto the my ipod page). only songs were syncing. Whe i press apply at th bottom right of the screen the sync process starts with the first of 12 apps and a message in window just above the tabs reads " installing Trenches VS " which you would expect then about 2 seconds later the message changes to "sync complete"!! but all the dragged overticked apps we want to sync dissapear from screen on the computer and apps never appear on the ipod touch! I have the software version 4.0 on the computer as it updated and backed up itself when I connected for the firt time in a while. Previously i had an ipod shuffle on this account andonly had songs which are in the library. Can anybody help as i don't know what else to try and ti maybe somethin very simple, i hope

I downloaded the App "1000 Exercises". It shows up on Itunes, but does not go onto the Ipod. I tried doing the suggested "deauthorize" the computer routine. It does not work. How do I get my money refunded. Thanks

HT1977 I don't have the App Store installed on my iPod Touch. How do I get it on there in order to put games and other apps on???

I've tried going through several outlets, I cannot seem to figure out how to install the actual icon/program (the Apps Store) onto my iPod Touch. All I have on there is iTunes, Safari--and the bare minimum that it came with . I'm trying to install the App Store onto my iPod Touch so that I can sync games onto it--and try to use it to its fullest potential....Please help?

- You need at least iOS 2 for apps. Go to Settings>General>About>version to find the iOS version. If you have a 1G iPod you can get the last update for that model here:

Will not load onto my ipod touch

I bought Angry Birds Space yesterday and it loaded to my iPhone but will not load to my iPod touch.

Even if you enabled Automatic Downloads now, it wouldn't apply to past purchases. Only if you buy a new app from that point on should it automatically download.
For Angry Birds Space, you can redownload it from the App Store at no additional charge.

Certain apps will not install on my iPod touch 1G due to software version

I bought an iPod Touch 1G off a friend recently. When I got it off him, it had several versions of Angry Birds which all functioned perfectly. Since having to erase all the data and the apps on the device in order to sync it to my computer, I don't seem to be able to install Angry Birds at all and when I try, I get an error message saying I need to update the software version to iPhone 4.
According to my iTunes it is currently on the latest software version which is 3.1.3.
I don't understand why I can't install applications that were working fine before I synced the device to my computer. Could it be some cross-platform issue between my friends Mac and my Pc?
If anyone has a solution, I would be grateful as this is getting frustrating.

First of all, the 1st generation Touch can only instal and use up to iOS 3.1.3, even though there are later versions of the iOS available for newer iPod Touchs. The 1G simply isn't capable of using iOS 4.
As for Angry Birds, there appear to be six versions available (in the UK store), three are paid for and three are free. However, of the three free versions, two require iOS 4.0 or higher to run. So the versions installed on your iPod when you bought it must have been paid for or Angry Birds Lite. I assume therefore that you have been trying to instal Angry Birds Free and Angry Birds Rio Free, which both require iOS 4.0.
I have no idea why there are six different versions or why some require a higher version of the software than other versions.
So either try installing the Angry Birds Lite or buy one of the other versions. Be aware though, that if a version you buy then gets updated and subsequently requires iOS 4, it will be removed from your Touch (as it will not work).

Are the apps compatible with your model iPod and its iOS version? You say you have a iOS 4.2. That implies a 2G iPod. Many, many apps now require iOS 4.3 or later or a 3G or later iPod.
Also do you have Restrictions turned on that would d prevent installing those apps? Settings>General>Restrictions.

Both my kids have ipod touch. Over the past few days they have not been to access their apps via wifi. The social networking apps like: Twitter and Instagram. In addition, Google won't load. They are able to use messaging apps like Kik and Skype. I have an iphone and mine is working fine. Their devises are saying the software is up-to-date.

Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Even though your iPhone can access the internet, you could also try restarting the router.

Safari and mail app not working on my iPod Touch 3rd generation.

I have an iPod touch 3rd generation and my safari and mail app won't work and it's driving me crazy! My safari app keeps crashing when I open it so that's not working, and my mail app opens up but doesnt load then crashes. Can somebody tell what to do?!!!

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

How to move an app from the app library back onto my iPod Touch

So I have deleted this app from my iood Touch, but it's still in the library. Syncing will only put newly downloaded apps onto my Touch. How can I transfer an old app back to my touch?

Apps will not sync to my Ipod touch

I read through the other question about the apps not syncing to the ipod touch. I then realized that I do not have the Applications tab on my Itunes. I also just recently downloaded the new Itunes as well. Not sure how to get the applications tab or how to get them to sync without it.

On the Touch, go into the Settings/General/Restrictions menu and look for *Installing Apps* on that list. If you have set restrictions on, *Installing Apps* is set to On as a default (on my Touch anyway), so you need to turn off the Apps one, at least until you have installed the ones you are prepared to let him have.

Media on computer is not synching onto the ipod

Previously downloaded music on my computer shows up in the ITUNES Library but does not synch onto my IPOD Touch.
Recently downloaded the newest version of ITunes on my Windows 8 Ultrabook (ACER) 64 bit.
Copied my music from my backup drive after ITUNES install wiped my IPOD clean.
Now, my IPOD won't synch and pickup my music from my computer.
