App of the Week - Oakley One Icon | Digital Publishing Suite Customer Showcase | Adobe TV

Oakley, a designer of sunglasses, ski goggles and other innovative sports accessories, uses Adobe Digital Publishing Suite to create a merchandising app with inspiring editorial about sponsored athletes. Check out the app of the week video to see some creative applications of DPS overlays. Scroll through the editorial that seemingly appears from behind a mountain. Use the 360 degree overlay to control a snowboarder's rotations through the air.

  • Ad of the Week - mashup video | Digital Publishing Suite Customer Showcase | Adobe TV

Instead of an ad of the week video, the DPS team has created a mashup of many great ads built using Digital Publishing Suite. Interactive ads built in Digital Publishing Suite allow readers to play, learn, and shop, deepening brand engagement and purchase intention.

These are awesome examples. But aren't they all created using HTML5? I didn't catch any that are native DPS.

I think it would be better to delete this video and do it all over again in a more fluent way. The guys on stage are hard to follow (low volume), they never heard of "Reflection" (a simple app to put the iPad's screen on the big presentation display through AirPlay), and the previewing is cumbersome (could be up and running within 2 seconds in stead of 5 minutes).

Create a scrolling frame that slides in and out of a page, revealing more information when the reader pulls on a tab. This is useful when you want to provide a little more information for your reader, but you don't want it to interrupt the full design of the page.Download Bob Bringhurst's Tips App to read a tutorial on scrolling frames: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/digital-publishing-suite-tips/id436199090?mt =8

Actually the original message was meant for Colin not Bob
I did find the answer to my own question... The Video Is OUTDATED and should be removed to avoid future confusion.
The new feature is "Scrollable Frame", located on the bottom of the Folio Overlay panel which allows for an effective slide out tray.
Colin's more recent video covers this.

Colin if you do read this— thanks for producing some fantastic tutorials and being so supportive.

Finally, a quick but concise overview from Adobe, on how to execute the Apple 'voodoo' part in generating an iPad app to test and eventually distribute. The 40 pages "Companion Guide" PDF is essential in helping you step-by-step, but this narrated version prepares you a bit.

  • App of the Week question

    Hello all,
I have been occasionally installing the App of the Week in the Appstore and I wondered if I say install Cut the rope now (for free) it is obviously available to me to reinstall again from the cloud (you get a cloud icon instead of buy/install on the app) now if I choose to remove cut the rope at some point would I be elegible to install it from the cloud again therefore not costing me any money? Or would it be recognised as no longer an App of the Week and I would then have to pay say 69p?

I've been trying to find this app but can not find it, do you can help please?

  • App of the week

How could I know what are all the app of the week apps since 1 year

Getting errors during download of US Weekly.  By looking at comments on the app, there are many others with the same problem.  PLEASE CORRECT!  I have deleted & re-downloaded the app, but I still get errors.

    Yes.

"When will DPS App Builder for Windows® be available?
Currently DPS App Builder is available only as a Mac OS application, which means that in order for Single Edition customers to submit an app to the Apple App Store, they need access to a Mac. To learn when DPS App Builder is available for Windows, check the Digital Publishing Suite system requirements."

  • What is the fee charged to the Digital Publishing Suite account owner, when folios are downloaded within a multi-folio published app?

I am trying to determine for my client if we should use a single or multi folio platform to build an app for the business. content wise, we would be able to accommodate both types, but i am more concerned about the cost. I've researched and discovered the following:
"Each time a user downloads a folio (makes an in-app “purchase” of free or retail content), a download fee is charged to the owner of the Digital Publishing Suite account."
What is the cost of this fee? and how is it charged to the account?
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

What page did you find that line on? We no longer charge download fees per folio for customers who sign new (or renew) contracts.

  • Notability, App of the week, wont transfer from itunes to ipad 4

i got the app, notability when it was the app of the week last week on my iPhone 5s and transferred it to iTunes. i restored and updated my ipad 4 to the latest version ios 7.1.1. when i try to add this app to my ipad it wont transfer but ive tried other apps and they transferred fine. do i have to purchase this app in order to transfer it to my ipad? i figured since it was free because it was the app of the week that it wouldnt be necessary to purchase it to transfer to another device?

I figured out what was going on.  All the songs on this album had dup's in iTunes, and some of the dup's were not linked to a song.  Those are the songs that did not sync to the iPad.  I deleted the dup's out of iTunes and then checked to be sure the remaining songs had a link, and then re-sync'ed.  It worked.

  • Digital Publishing Suite not shown in Creative Cloud Desktop app

Our company just purchased/installed Creative Cloud for Teams for several  MAC computers, but only one of them shows Digital Publishing Suite in the CC menu in the taskbar.
The computers are running OS 10.8.5.

Digital Publishing Suite is accessible via an online app at https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com - from there you can downlaod the desktop app which helps you to build the apps and also start to publish. The icon will only appear in the CC menu if you are running the app on that machine... but it's only downloadable from the site.
    Hope that helps.
