I am registered at iTunes with an german iPhone (german number). I would like to download a free app, which is available in the swiss store (this is the message i get, when trying to install the app). Remark: I got to the swiss store via a link to the requested product (e.g. the App of REGA, swiss air rescue guard).
How can i buy an app which is an a store outside of Germany? Do i need a separate apple-id per country?

You will need a Swiss iTunes account with a Swiss billing address and be in Switzerland to be able to download it. You can try requesting that it be added to the German store, but ultimately it's the developer's decision : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

Apple TV 2 has reached the end of it's iOS updates. there really won't be any more and the focus will be mainly on the Apple TV 3.
You can sell the ATV2 for a few hundred dollars on eBay because the ATV2 is special in a way that I can't mention here. Use the money to buy an ATV3.
I am in no hurry to do so myself and will continue using my ATV2 for some time.

I understand you are not Apple but i was presuming that some logic or technical reason i miss was behind this.
I really do not see any logic business pratice. If i understand i can be agree or desagree but as minima i know the rules and why.
to sumarize...my story
my id was with XXX and i bought Itune match one year with this account and 4 device are conected with the same account.
on Ipad device i change my ID to YYY then .... because i need to update some apps and connect to itune match i came back to ID XXX then no problem to update apps but .... no way to come back to itune match.
.... no way to use itune match anyhow with Ipad and account XXX linked with account XXX. WHYYYY ??? no clue.

Apps only available in the USA

I am new to Apple and loving it but there's one thing that makes me quite upset to be frank
Why are certain free apps only available in the USA? Infant even some premium apps are only available in the USA...
Had a chat with an old friend of mine over the weekend and I was bragging about all my idevices and in the end he said something I couldn't refute and it left me quite grumpy he said "apple products are only made to satisfy American users" and I couldn't say anything beyond that.
Somebody please wipe the moisture from my ears.....
One more idea, how about all premium apps come with a trial version, even if its a day or a few hours for that matter. one is often forced to purchase an app before they know that all the marketing material was flawed or the app doesn't fulfill what the user is looking for, but the money is gone .....

Itunes ONLY sells apps for iphone/ipod/ipad.

There's a Dutch news app for the Nu.nl site. I would like to download this app, but this is not possible outside of the Netherlands (which is where I live). Why on earth is this so? Can't a person abroad read the Dutch news? I've contacted the publisher of the app and asked them why they only made it available in the Netherlands. Their reply was that this was a restriction of the Ovi store. They would like to see it available elsewhere as well.
This is unfortunately just one example of many. Ovi Store can you pleas do something about this?

thanks ..I wish the iPad had an easier way of deselecting a switch to another store. I was searching for a newspaper app and it advised me to switch stores, so I tapped into a switch. I wasn't able to download the app. as this store was restricting Australian access as it turned out. However, there was no request to switch back to where I came from and I got stuck in this store and couldn't take any updates to my apps until I found this way of getting back...grrrrrrrr...but thankyou for the info on how to reset your home country store.

this didn't actually answer my question. The feature request link you sent me to didn't have the mobile apps for creative cloud listed Adobe Idea, Adobe Sketch and Ink and Slide they aren't available for android tablets and Android Phones. These aren't even available for Windows tablets. But they aren't available in the feature request section either.

I had no problems with this previously, but I recently informed my US bank of my Japanese address and changed it (had to).
There is no way to input my Japanese address (so that it matches the bank information) in the fields for the US App Store (which has no foreign country fields, you are limited to having to fill in the US state field, flags me for phone number area code differences, etc.).
When I hit the change country button: A) It took me to the Japanese App Store; B) I could not use my US credit card there (despite my Japanese address).

Well, I can certainly understand the licensing argument if I were using a Japanese credit card with a Japanse address and making a purchase with Japanese yen from the US Store from Japan.
When I am making a purchase with US card from the US store with US dollars, the argument becomes a bit suspect (I know it is Apple's, not your argument).
it is just kind of a paradoxical situation and I am hoping Apple will offer some sort of solution. We can always hoe, right?

As long as you have a form of payment (credit or debit card) with a USA source, and with a billing address in the USA, then you just need to change your payment information on your account to that, change your country in the store settings, and you will then be able to shop in the USA store.
Your AppleID will work in any country's store, as long as your payment source and billing addres are also specific to that country (and you are in that country as well, as there may be IP filters in place to stop use outside of the country).

Sorry... But... You cannot use other countries itunes stores.
You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country..

IPad 1 - Deleted app, tried to reinstall, but later version is only available which does not work on iOS5. How do I get the original back?

Have gone to app store and looked under "purchased", again only the updated app is available which doesn't work on my device.
How do I get back the original version which worked on the earlier version of iOS?

The only possible way that you could get it back is if the app is still in your iTunes library. If you don't sync with iTunes and it is not in your iTunes library, unfortunately, your version of the app is gone now.
