Basically im trying to figure something out
Firstly can you use excel on your iphone? And if so can you enter formules?
Im trying to basically make it so i can make a list of products and have it totled up as i enter them in
Also what is a suggest program that keeps text documents and is password producted

This probably isn't the best place to find out information on apps, unless it's the ones that come with the phone.
In the iTunes store and search using whatever keywords you have. Excel is a good start. There might be dozens of apps that will do the job for you. Or not. I suggest reading the reviews carefully (some people just have an agenda, sometimes plants for the app developer make posts, or usually, honest reviewers post). Make sure you read over the features of the app. That's the best, maybe only, way to go about this process.

Two app questions

Ok all, I have two app questions.
1. Ever since the IOS 5.1 update, some streams on Tune In Radio Pro do not play in stereo and I can't find a way to fix it! I've tried turning mono audio on and off, turning AAC streams on and off, and still nothing. Could it be that my phone is complaining that it doesn't have a sim card? That's my only theory at this point. I thought it had something to do with the stream bitrate and I have been working with the TuneIn support to try and get to the bottom of this, but nothing has worked. I thought it was just the 32 kbps and 48 kbps aac streams affected, but it seems to be all on some streaming providers. Here's some of the stations I've logged mono audio on, in Spokane, KZZU and KZBD, in Saint Lewis, WARH, in DC WRQX, in New York WPLJ, in Portland Maine WHOM, in Philidelphia WBEN, and in Yakima KFFM. These are all 32 or 48 kbps streams. I can't get stereo on KQMV or KLCK in Seattle, haven't tried KLCK actually as I listen to that enough over the air, I am just basing that one on how TuneIn is acting. I can also get KFFM in stereo via Radio Pup, so in that instance, it seems to be just a TuneIn issue. WBEN is also on IHeart Radio and does not come in in stereo on either app. I didn't mention KFAT in Ankorage, AK because they are with one of the providers that doesn't seem to have a stereo aac stream on TuneIn at all. Other stations in this category dealing with two providers here, WCLI in Dayton, OH, WJDQ Meridian MS, KMGL Oklahoma City, KLMY in Long Beach WA, not listed in a market on TuneIn, KRXY in Shelton also not listed under a city, and I feel like I am forgetting a few but that's most of them. If I didn't mention it before, KQMV and KLCK have 64 kbps aac streams as well as 32 kbps aac streams, problem only occurs on 32 kbps streams there. Any solution?
2. Now this next question will go really fast. TuneIn must use some kind of audio capturing software to record, but you can only do that with TuneIn stations. Is there a way to do this with other apps, such as the hd radio that works with the Ibiquity app in the app store?

Well, here's the skinny then. If it's an isolated issue and you cannot provide a way of replicating the problem, the Apple does not consider it an OS X problem. Rather it's a problem with the third-party software. Given what you have reported I'd tend to agree with that viewpoint.
There are some third-party utilities that enable audio capture from applications that don't support it themselves. The best of them is Audio Hijack Pro 2.10.3. I highly recommend it.
If you are interested in Internet radio then you should check out Radium 2.8.3 and/or World Radio 2.0 and/or Radioshift 1.6.7. The last one will record its audio.

Hi, Dave.
If you're using the BlackBerry browser, you can't configure anything to bypass the RIM servers. I believe you may do so by using the Opera browser, but I haven't tried it myself so cannot comment with authority.

IPhone 5s Password and iPad App Question

Hello,
I was interested in purchasing my first smartphone and was thinking of getting the iPhone 5s. But I have a few questions I would like to ask before making a decision. Can you run an application (from iTunes) that is for an iPad and run it on an iPhone if the IOS version requirement is high enough? I am hoping I can run the "MyTunesProHD" App which requires IOS 4 or higher. It says that it is compatible with the iPad. But I would like to know if it is also compatible with the iPhone since it is higher than IOS 4.
My next question is concerning the Fingerprint Touch ID feature with the iPhone 5s. Does it have the option of using a standard password like the older iPhones? Or is it Fingerprint Touch ID only? If it is Fingerprint only I will choose a different phone (currently considering the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 as an alternative). Personally I don't like the idea of using my fingerprint.

Hi Joshua,
The MyTunes Pro app in the iTunes app store shows that it is compatible with both the iPad and the iPhone. So, if the developer has made it compatible with iOS7, then you would be able to use the app you have already purchased for both devices.
You do not have to use the fingerprint security if you don't want to:

I need someone to answer a few Find my Iphone App questions?

I lost my phone overseas...I got too drunk and lost it at some bar..I thought I was lucky because I had signed up for the find my iphone app on the ICloud. When I tried to locate my Iphone through the services, It couldn't find my Iphone because it was "OFFLINE" I assume it was because it was out of battery, making it impossible to find it now.
So I requested that my phone be put it in "lost mode", but since it's currently offline, it's Pending! I also added a contact number and a 50$ reward for the return of my phone, so the next time my phone is turned on and connects to the internet, it will lock and the stranger using my phone won't be able to get in to it and steal my info right?...But, seeing as my time is almost up being overseas, it seems very unlikely I'll be getting my phone back. So I might have to get a new phone!
My Question is, if I click on "Erase Iphone" now, it will erase all the data on my phone, And it won't be able to be tracked anymore, that's all fine and good. But the thing is, since my phone is currently off line, it's currently a pending action and won't erase the data unless it's turned on and connected to the internet again....SO, if I were to get a New Iphone, (I am eligible to uprgrade) it would be risky right? Because if I get a new Iphone and get all comfy with a new iphone, and someone turns on my old IPhone, the "Erase Iphone" request will commence and it will delete all the data on my old iphone as well as my NEW iphone right?
Cause I will be using the same Apple ID for my new Iphone! I can only assume that this is how it works....Apple isn't very clear on how stuff like that works.

You don't need to worry. It won't delete anything from iCloud or your new phone, it will only erase the data on the lost phone, and that will only happen if it ever goes online again.

Messaging App Question

Two questions - is there any way to replace the device messaging app in the lower bar with a different messaging app that I've installed? Second, how do you turn off the messaging notification "ticker" that displays in the top right corner of the messaging app showing the number of unread messages. I don't use this app because I can't change the font, so I never read my messages from there and the number just keeps growing.

Question 1...
You should be able to press on the apps icon in the apps tray and drag it onto the dock to replace the icon, if that wont work press and hold on tray icon and you should get option to edit the shortcut.
Question 2...
This works with some devices, open messages app and press Menu / Settings / Notifications and see if there is a option to uncheck.
Just realized you are talking about the number above icon - I Do not think this is possible with stock icon but some 3rd party apps has option for this..

Oracle BI Apps questions, kindly help

I wanted to checkout the preconfigured reports that come with Oracle BI applications, for this i had download and installed
OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1
ORacle BI Applications 7.9.5
Informatica PowerCenter 8.6.0
Oracle EBS R12,
Question 1) I see that there is Oracle DAC 10.1.3.4 on the same download page, should i also download that as when i installed oracle BI applications 7.9.5 it installed DAC folder in OracleBI and i am able to access DAC client, so what is the need of separate DAC?.
Question 2) When i installed Oracle BI Applications 7.9.6(after uninstallting apps 7.9.5), there was no DAC folder in oracleBI location, in the guide it said DAC folder has to be present from previous installation, i guesss that means i need to have oracle Apps 7.9.5 installed before i install apps 7.9.6?
Question 3) Is informatica powercenter 8.6.0 compatible with above settings or do i need to install informatica from oracle website, i tried but it takes me to OBIEE download link

2) You need to install either 7.9.5 apps or 7.9.6 version.....Because both are different that is BI apps 7.9.5 uses informatica....where as BI apps 7.9.6 will use ODI(oracle data integrator) and ODI doesnt use DAC for its installation.
So go for either one of those....i would suggest you to go for 7.9.5
3)Informatica 8.6.0 is compatable with 7.9.5 Apps.Google it to find informatica software.

Ipad 2 iOS 6 Update App Question

Hi, i just downloaded the new iOS 6 for my ipad 2 and i have a question...why doesn't it have youtube anymore as an app that you can't get rid of? i downloaded the youtube app, that's new, but it's only for ipod. how come the youtube app is still on my ipod then but not on ipad. i really don't know why youtube is gone but other than that i like the iOS 6 update. is there any way for me to get the app back instead of going on safari, google crome, or something else to go to youtube??

YouTube has been removed from the iPad in this iOS. You can download the iPod/iPhone app on the iPad or you can try the mobile site. But you cannot get it back on the iPad.

Single Edition App question regarding using the activation number

Hello,
I am producing a single edition app for a client. We have purchased a single edition package and I have the serial number. I have created the app and done all the certificates and provisioning stuff...
My question is now that it is built and I would like to download a version for testing purposes it is asking me for the serial number to activate it.
After I enter the serial number will I be able to go back and make changes to it as needed before I publish? Or how does this work? I just want to make sure I dont activate this and am then stuck with the results if changes need to be made. I'm sure the answer is fairly obvious but just wanted to check with people who have had past experiences. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, you should be able to make changes, but I can’t let this pass without reminding you that you could have gotten unlimited apps for year and every Creative Cloud application and service for less than you paid for that one app.

I have basic question. can some one explain me the difference between Oracle Applicatios 11i and Oracle E-business suite 11i ? I guess the oracle financial modules GL,AR, PA etc is bundled in E-business suite 11i?

Track Sales Order Fiori App - Question for % Shipped

I've a question about the percentage shipped for the items on the order.
If an item is under-shipped (ie: Deliver 8/10) but there is not another schedule line for the order item, the percentage doesn't seem to be updated.
Percentage shipped only seems to be updated if the entire schedule line is shipped. Is this by design or is this a bug?

Facebook app question

Hey guys,
Trying to get the Facebook app to display my pic on the home screen (login screen) of the app. When you sign in the first time, it used to create a "button" with your profile pic and name. You tap it to log in. Well, it works for everyone else, but for me, it's just a generic pic, and says "Facebook user." I've tried deleting & re-downloading the app, checking my FB settings, but can't get it to work. Anyone else have is problem? Any ideas?

This doesn't answer your question but I find the Facebook app to be pretty poor, much better using the actual site through Safari in my opinion. You don't get notifications through the app do you?

Yet Another "How to Delete Apps" question

I'm trying to delete some unused/unwanted apps from within the iTunes structure. Here's what I've done already:
Deleted directly from my iPad 2 by holding my finger on an app's icon, then tapping the "delete" icon in the uppoer left corner
Connect my iPad 2 to my Mac and to iTunes. Went from screen to screen hovering my pointer over the apps in question and clicked the "delete" icon in the upper left corner. Some apps asked if I wanted to keep them or trash them, which I answered "trash."
Turning our attention to the left sidebar in iTunes under the Apps tab, it's labeled "Sync Apps" and has a sort dropdown between the head and the list of apps. The unwanted apps still reside in thhis list though the checkbox to their left is unchecked. (see image below)
I have searched through the different discussion on this forum as well as others, with answers that pretty much mirror what I've done so far, with the exception that some people recommended using the "delete" key (which I assume is the same as the "backspace" key, however I've pressed both), which doesn't do anything.
Here is where I have come up against a stone wall.
How on earth do I get iTunes to delete those apps that I absolutely and positively don't want hanging around? I don't want them to suddenly appear on my iPad through some vagaries of the sync process and I don't want them showing up within iTunes.
My setup:
A 64GB WiFi iPad 2 running 4.3.5
A 2009 Mac Mini running Lion and iTunes 10.4 (build 80)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I feel like such a dipstick sometimes. I'll fret over a problem for hours, then post a question somewhere, then minutes later it seems that a lightbulb goes of over my head.
One thing I forgot to do was go to the Apps tab under the Library area of iTunes. <headsmack!>
Going there and viewing the app icons, I found that selecting an app and either right-clicking and selecting "delete", or simply hitting my "backspace" key cause it to disappear, both from the Apps panel in the Library, but also in the list of Apps next to my iPad screens.

Deploy inhouse app question

Hi Everyone,
I have completed a couple of InHouse distribution applications and rolled them out....
Now that the iPod touches are in the field and running, I need to push another application out to them.
The devices connect to a PC loaded with iTunes. The users are not allowed to upgrade the OS to version 4.x, so they must stay with the 3.1.3 release of the OS.
So my question is this....
1) Is there a way to disable the OS upgrade question that is presented to the user?
2) How do I push an application to the iTunes so it can be sync'd when the user connects??
I have seen some stuff on sending out an email, and the user can download the app aplace place it into the app section of the itunes... but i am not sure on the steps involved in setting up the application to be deployed that way.
any help would be appreciated.

Not unless the devices physically don't support the OS—you can't modify iTunes.
If i turn off the itunes helper in the services, this problem stops and it doesn't tell the user that there is an update available.
I also turned off the sync-ing capability of iTunes.... Since i will never update the iPod touch device from iTunes in the field.
2) How do I push an application to the iTunes so it can be sync'd when the user connects??

I'm not certain, but here's what I do know:
The email method applies to ad-hoc distribution, I believe—you have to get the devices' UUIDs, then encode that into the code signature of your app, then you email the compiled IPA to your user and they can download it like a normal app (download it, then drag it into iTunes).
With enterprise distro, Apple's not too clear, but I think you just configure the devices, then push out the app.

Agreed, since we are doing enterprise distribution, and staying away from the 4.0x OS, i am limited to having the devices send back in for maintenance and updating. I feel this approach is far better than hoping the user will keep the unit in top shape. I have angled it to my managers in a way that keeps track of the devices as well as the planned upgrade routine.

ITunes "Gift App" Questions

Hello. I just noticed that in AppStore there's a feature that you can gift an app. (By selecting Gift this app from the drop-down beside the "Buy Now" button)
I think this should be cool because I can ask my mother to gift me an app.
Question is, my own iTunes account doesn't have any credit card installed.
1.Can I still redeem the app that gifted to me from my mother's account that has a credit card installed? As I heard a rumour that the recipient must have a credit card installed too is it true?
2. If I can redeem it- Will the "Purchased by" status (when I right-click an app then Info there's it) named as my own email account?
3. In case my mother's account get disabled/banned for some reason, can I still get auto updates on apps that have been gifted to me?

To the best of my knowledge, you will not need a credit card attached to your iTunes Store account. If you don't already have an account set up, there should be an option to create a new account when you redeem the gift.

The "purchased by" will be your own iTunes Store account, not the account of whoever gave you the gift.

Yes, there should be no problem, since the app will have been "purchased" by you, via your account.

"Notes" app questions

I noticed that there are two accounts in the "Notes" app and wondered if you can add more accounts?
How can you change the name of an account in "Notes"?
How can you set up catagories in an account in "Notes"?

I do not know about length/size. For the latter question the Users Guide (iOS4.2) states:

You can sync Notes in either of the following ways:
In iTunes, use the iPod touch settings panes to sync with Mail on a Mac or with
Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 on a PC when you connect iPod touch to your
computer. See “iPod touch Settings Panes in iTunes” on page 50.
In Settings, turn on Notes in MobileMe, Google, Yahoo!, AOL, or other IMAP account
to sync your notes over the air (iPod touch 3rd generation or later) with those
