App running differently from N95 to 5800 Xpress
I downloaded the trapster app since i had it on my N95, to my 5800 Xpress, problem is the GPS (the blue circle that indicates where i'm located) keeps disappearing, and the sound files from the app only play half way, then abruptly stop, however it still works perfectly on my N95, is there something I need to update on the 5800 ? I just got it.
The problem is that the app isn't optimised for the 5800xm. Many S60v3 apps will work on the 5800xm but not all will run perfectly.
Contact the makers of the app and ask them if they have a newer version thats fully compatible with S60v5 phones like the 5800xm.

(CS3 JS) script runs differently from Scripts Panel vs. ESTK2
First things first: INDD CS3 / Javascript
I have a strange thing happening and am wondering if y'all have run into this as well. I have a fairly simple script (primarily just find/change queries). It works like a charm when running it from ESTK2; however, when running it from the scripts panel within INDD, it skips two of the find/change queries inexplicably. 90% of the script works the same, but there are two sections of the script that seem to just not fire.
And yes, I have made double-sure that I am running the same script and that the one I am running from ESTK2 and from INDD are the exact same, saved versions.
Is there a fundamental difference between running from the scripts panel and firing from ESTK2? I ran both on the same template, then undid each step-by-step, and it appears that both times the script ran the queries in the same order; however, when it hit a certain spot in the script, one version (the one fired from ESTK2) shows where the text was deleted, and the other looks like it did nothing.
Is this something that any of you have run across as well? If necessary, I can post the code; however, I figured at this point, I would just ask the general theoretical question of why there might be a difference.

Matt HollowellThanks for the response Kasyan and Peter. I was beginning to feel like that lone person afflicted by some rare scripting illness. I am going to try and solve this later today. I am thinking maybe I need to target INDD with a statement or define an application specific variable or something to ensure that the script "knows" what it is supposed to be doing when run from the scripts panel. I am still confounded why it would run differently, and all I can think is that when it is run from ESTK2, it understands something inherently that needs to be specifically defined when run from the scripts panel.
The other strange thing is that 90% of the script works as expected; it's just two specific find/change arguments that seem to get skipped.
If I can figure out what is going on, I will post here, in case someone in the future runs across a similar problem.

[Mail.app] Manage different "from field" when using aliases
I know how to manage aliases in mail.app
My question is: is there a way to tell to mail.app to use for each alias a different "from field"? or the from field will always be the one of my principal account?
This is an option that Thunderbird and Postbox offer.In Mail >Preferences>Accounts>Account information
Add as many alias as you want to the Email Address field separated by comma.
This is the most user friendly method for creating different "personalities."
When you create a New Mail it will present you with a From: field in which to choose your alias (personality,) much like multiple signatures. -
Script runs differently from ESTK and Scripts panel
Recently I was reported about a problem with one of my scripts, that packages ID documents: a guy wrote me that when he runs it from ESTK, script works fine, but when run from Scripts panel — creates empty folders, does nothing more but generates an error (there's an error handler in the script that logs errors into a text file):
Error: Invalid value for parameter 'versionComments' of event 'packageForPrint'. Expected String, but received TRUE.
It's strange, because I don't use this optional parameter in the script.
BTW, on my computers it works ok, both in ID and ESTK.
Does anybody encountered this problem? Any ideas on why this happens?
KasyanHe probably has his scriptPreferences version set to 5. To make your script foolproof, you should probably set the scriptPreferences yourself (and restore them when you are don to be nice...)
BTW, kAppVersion = parseFloat(app.version) is a more readable form for getting the version number...

ok..here is my problem, I have checked everything I know on my iTunes and on my iPhone and my current email address is correct, Yet when I try to update my apps, it is giving me an email that is 2 yrs old and invalid and therefore I can't log into my apps. Where do I go to correct this issue? Please help asap Im leaving out of town and will only have my iPhone for my games etc and without the correct email addy I can't update my apps..ty
The "email" you see when you try to update an app is actually the Apple ID you must have used to purchase the app, not your email address.

You are typing in the password for your iTunes account, not your email account ? If you are then try logging out of your account on the iPhone by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if it then works.

App launch date different from apperance date - help !

I have just searched and trawled through the forum and am unable to find a post regarding the launch date of an app being different from its actual appearance on the store.
My app launched yesterday 20th August but the date showing is the 14th August(date of submission) - hence it has not appeared in the new apps list - this is a little frustrating as it immediately receives no "free" publicity for a few hours whilst it is on the list of new applications.
Has anyone else experienced this yet? - as I seem to remember seing a post regarding tjis issue but cannot find it anymore. I have emailed the dev email and will await a reply but thought the collective knowledge of this forum may be able to help!

If I put the script in its own file and run it from the command prompt, it runs just fine. If the script runs from the SQL Server Agent job, the for-loop will delete the files correctly, but the filenames
do not get written to the deletion log file and the counter does not get incremented, so according to the job log, nothing was deleted. Why does the script run differently from each invocation? It can't be a permission thing, the service that logs in has full
access to the directory and the files do get deleted. Any ideas out there?
Between this and other outstanding issues, I'm quickly losing faith in SQL Server. >=o(

Now when i am trying to call this script file in SQL agent job step (as you mentioned )

Issue: job step executed succesfully ,,but without performing any refresh on the excel. So i am not understandig what is going wrong. the same script file work when i am calling it through a batch file (window scheuler task). But it doesnt support

that is why i want to refresh my excel file through sql agent ,which can be scheduled to any time and cab be run as SQL agent credentials.

Why App have different Sizes from iPhone4 to 5?

I recently switched over from iPhone4 to iPhone5S.
After restoring from my previous backup and everything is working, I am noticing that a lot of the some Apps have different sizes from iPhone4 to iPhone5, like pages, iBooks, etc. On the iPhone4 they are bigger than iPhone5S. Is that normal? I check on GENERAL/USAGE and enetered specific App items just in case I had not synched my specific data inside each app but everything is synched and the same size. Just the APP size is different, for example, on iPhone5S Pages is 100MB less than on iPhone4, although I have the same data backupped... is that something related to a more efficient way of storing on iPhone5S? Just to be precise, I would like to point out that the iOS version is updated to the last version to both iPhones...

For example, if you have the Google app. Look up app usage, then open the app, do a few searches, look up some pictures, etc. You will see the app usage size grow the next time you look at it.
Nothing to be concerned about, unless you're running out of storage. -
App runs in Eclipse environment but not from jar file with no error message
When I upgraded my jre to 5.0 my app does not run. After fixing the properties problem I had a few days ago it is now at least compiling and running within Eclpse
However, when I export to a jar file it runs to a certain point and then just goes away with no error message!!! I've narrowed it down to the exact point where it dies but don't understand why it dies and especially gives me no errors whatsoever. It just goes away.
It is creating an instance of a new class when it dies.
Can someone please help me?Ok, well it doesn't. Anyway, I'm still having the same problems. I can run my jar file to a certain point and then the application just stops. I know this because I've put come message boxes in the application to let me know where in the app the system is.
It always dies when it is instantiating the new class called HeidiFrame; done by:

if I put code in between the above line and before the below line, this code will work fine
heidiFrame = new HeidiFrame();
but if I put code after the above line, nothing happens
As I said this all worked fine until I upgraded to Java 1.5
If you look at http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/compatibility.jsp there are 23 compatibility issues with the new release. We're using xml stuff so that was my first problem and the code wouldn't even compiile. Once I added in libraries, the code compiled and ran beautifully.
However, when creating my jar file so I can deploy this application , I've discovered that the jar file will only run to a certain point, as I've stated previously. So, that's my problem. Not that I can't run it from the command prompt, which I can't, but it's a gui application. I've tried changing things in the classpath file and the manifest to no avail. Nothing changes. The application starts but when it goes to instantiate the HeidiFrame class, which is the class that actually builds the gui it dies and goes bye bye. -
I downloaded a free App. called ThaiPad from Bangkok Post newswpapers. I downloaded on my PC running Windows 7. The Bangkok Post recommended itunes for downloading. I completed the download but it would not open. I assume that this App was for iPad or iPod etc as the Bangkok Post wants to sell content, after the free content, via itunes store I assume. Can someone tell me if I can open this in Windows 7 and if so how. Thanks.
Any app that you download using iTunes is for use only on iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch, and not on a PC. It's possible they have a separate app for PC, as some companies do, but the one you downloaded via iTunes definitely will not open in Windows 7.

What path to use to access network files from Java app running on Mac
I have a Java app running on a Mac with OS X that I'm using to check for files that exists on Windows servers within our network.
Using a path like /Volumes/<Share>/ works because I've already connected to the drive using Finder. If I try to use a fully qualify the path with "smb://<Server>/<Share>" then my app doesn't see anything. Is there any way that I can get Java to connect to a directory without first having mapped or made the connection via some external tool like Finder?

Yes you are right. At one sever where I was getting error, DateTime was in USA format and Where It was running successfully was in AUS format.
I changed from USA to AUS and I did another changes:

I am facing this problem while start debugging the Provider-Hosted app through VS2013. I want to deploy the app with same version. So please let me know any solution
to remove the app instance from office365 online, so that I can deploy the same app with same version on the specified "Developer Site".
Note: If I change the version in AppManifesst.xml file then this problem/error gets resolved. But I want to deploy with the same version as
per my business requirement.
The actual error renders while I click to "Start" button of the Visual Studio 2013 to deploy the provider-hosted app, for the sake
to deploying it on say "ABC" site collection (i.e. developer site). I work on office365 online. Therefore, request you to please provide the solution for SharePoint online office 365. The occurrences is:
