App Says Installed but it's Not! Can't Re-Download

Hello,
I had Lion on my Mac Pro, then I did a clean install of Mountain Lion.
Now after having done a complete clean install, I log into the Mac App Store and it is showing me my app status's as if I was still on my OS before the clean install.
For Example it says:
Final Cut Pro            Update (Instead of Install)
Better Rename 9       Update (Instead of Install)
Both of those apps are not installed on my clean install Mountain Lion. They use to be installed on Lion before the clean install.
What's worse:
GarageBand      Installed (It's not installed)
I cannot click to install GarageBand. I tried Option-clicking on Purchases so that it would give me the option but it doesn't.
This is very frustrating.
Any help in understanding how to reset the App store into looking at the current Applications or resetting the store from within the account.

There is a limit of 11 homepages after which apps are only accessible via the iPad's spotlight search screen (swipe your first homescreen to the right) - if you do have 11 screen then you can make more apps 'visible' by using app folders.
If you have less than 11 screens, then have you got an app age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding them ?

An app is considered to be installed if it shows up in a Spotlight search of local volumes. Bring up a search window in the Finder by pressing the key combination command-F. Search This Mac for the name of the application. Delete all copies that are found.

App says installing but never changes

Hi all,
I have lost some apps from my iPad for no apparent reason just literally disappeared. I go to app store and all those missing say installing but they are not. I have rebooted the iPad I have logged in and out of the store but to no avail.
Any help appreciated please!
My little daughters GarageBand projects have gone which is one of the biggest losses at the moment

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
- deleting and reinstalling the app
- Download on your computer and sync

Apps saying installed but not there

I have just updated my phones firmware/software from 15.0.015 to 31.0.15 (my phone is Nokia N95 8gb and a couple of the apps that were installed on the mass memory are saying that they are installed but they are not in the applications folder or anywhere,so when i go to try and delete them it says 'Removing failed' so they wont remove, i cant think why this is happening, because some of the other apps that were on the mass memory have been gone, the apps that are still there are Snaptu, Pac-man (game) and Simon says (game). Everything else works lovely and faster now

The App store says my App is installed but it is not

The App store says the App is installed on my IPad but I can't find it anywhwere?
Any Suggestions?

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by and app age rating in Settings > General > Restrictions ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Creative Cloud Says App is installed but it is not

I have Windows 7 and installed Creative Cloud and wanted to use Photoshop. When I launch Creative Clod it says Photoshop is installed and up to date. But cannot see Photoshop anywhere on my computer. I have a Windows 7, any suggestions? I have restarted, unistalled and reinstalled, same thing.

There is a latest update Lightroom 5.7.1, hence Creative Cloud App showing install option for Lightroom.
You may click on install and it will install 5.7.1 update

Say installed, but it's not

so I wiped and rebuilt my mac from scratch, not getting into a whole thing but it was getting funky..
anyway, went to app store app after installing OS and basic updates to download purchases and it says "installed" when, well now they aren't as nothing is.. clean slate... can't seem to find where to reset?
any ideas?

yes, Timer Machine, but I don't want to use anything at this point off the back ups as I'm guessing there was an issue/virus/whatever that was freaking the whole computer out and I don't want to just drag it right back in..
plus it doesn't let you "select" items.. it's all or nothing.. :/ and I don't want all of it back...

Apps say installed but missing

I have two apps that say they are installed on my iPad, yet cannot find them. (Yes, have searched etc).
The apps show in my iTunes and also show as ticked in my synced iPad apps.
I've done what some other threads say....ie delete the apps from iTunes, re-sync ipad, re-download from iTunes, re-sync iPad.
Again, the apps show in iTunes, when go to apps store on iPad, they show as installed...but again they are no where to be seen.
Desperate for any other suggestions....

You've checked all your homescreens and app folders for them, and have you set any app age rating restrictions in Settings > General > Restrictions that might be hiding them ?

You could also try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout which will reset the layout of all your apps, and may make them easier to find

I've paid $ 3,99 for Xcode for Snow Leopard. Now there is a new Xcode for Lion, so I downloaded the new one but the installed continued to be the old one. Now App Store says "Installed" and don't allow me to re-download Xcode. How can I proceed?

I've paid $ 3,99 for Xcode for Snow Leopard 12 days ago. After installing Lion I saw there is a new FREE Xcode for it, so I downloaded the new one but after installing automatically Xcode for Lion the Developer folder contained the old one. I deleted the old Xcode but the App Store says "Installed" and don't allow me re-download Xcode.
How can I proceed? I'm guessing whether this problem will occur each time I buy an application from App Store.

Yes, that's righ, Xcode installer was in the Apps folder. I assumed it had been automatically installed and the installer deleted after installation (the same way as Lion is installed).
I tried also the procedure for redownloding applications, and MAS showed both Xcodes (Lion and Snow Leopard) and OS X Lion. We see that buttons for Lion and Xcode for Snow Leopard say 'Install' but Xcode for Lion says 'installed' because there is an Install Scode in the Apps folder.

Ok, this is somewhat of a better work around I've found:
Starting in the Australian iTunes store, I go through the process of signing into the UK iTunes store up until the point it asks for my credit card information.
I then click the 'X' in the top left of iTunes to exit the store.
Now when I click on my Apps Updates button it shows me what UK Apps I have that are available to update.
You can't download these as at this point I've changed the store I'm viewing, but haven't officially switched accounts. Not to worry.
I write down the names of the UK Apps to update.
Then, use the 'search store' field in the top right of iTunes to search for one of the Apps.
Once you've found it, click to buy it / download it.
iTunes recognises that the App is already in your account and downloads it again for free….
… now I'm HOPING that that App is now fully within my Australian account… unfortunately only time will tell once there is a new update for it.
I'll let you know.

Reboot holding down the Command and R keys. This will get you in to the Recovery partition. From there you can reinstall the entire OS. Please note, Server.app will not be included in the reinstall. You will need to log into your App store account to download it.

I wouldn't think changing your password would have an impact but signing out of the Creative Cloud app and back in again might be something else to test. You might also try installing the trial version of Lightroom 5 and see if it appears in the list in the Creative Cloud app afterwards.

I cannot update apps, download apps and have had to remove apps because they keep crashing!
I have turned off, removed apps, tried to reinstall them. iTunes can't download them either, the updates for them won't work.
Never had problems with iPhones until now and this has really annoyed me... Apps have cost me money have had to go because they won't function
the error messages say that data cannot be downloaded at this time and it is ot because I do not have free space because I have removed items to make sure there is room!
